I've read that to perform a combo breaker, all you need to do is press block while being hit with a combo. Has anyone heard anything else about this? I think just pressing block is way too easy.

Actually, I think you have to press Block and Forward while being comboed.

Thats the problem! I think it's forward+block, but if there's no timing needed it's kinda stupid if you ask me.

I do remember reading or seeing somewhere recently that it was just block(even though, originally it was stated that it would be F+Block)... I'll try to find the info in a minute.(I might have misread something)
I recall hearing that if someone tried a combo on u while blocking... u'd break, or if you weren't blocking and started to get comboed, you could hold down block, and it would break.

..."Instead, you can block during the middle of the combo, and that will break you out of it. At this point in time, you could also hold down the block button and if the player attempts to combo you, you will break out of it. Important to note, is that it does not actually damage the other player if you perform one."

Well, you will only have 3 combo breakers anyway so it's pretty good that way. Still, I hope that they make it f+block because you might actually want to block a combo.

It was Foward + Block in the version I played, and I don't think they have a significant effect on the gameplay anyway. You only get three per match (not per round), so you have to use them sparringly, and when you do use them, you take damage from the hit you perform the breaker on, but your opponent takes no damage.
No one gains and advantage, so there's no strategic value to it. Since MK is based almost entirely on combos, it's basically, which three do you want to break? I anticipate all three breakers being used toward the end of a round, but they will in no way turn the tide of battle IMO.
