Ok, Superman, with all his strength, has trouble defeating Darkseid.

So his Batman, Catwoman, Joker, Lex Luthor and mostly any other human character going to stand a chance against him?

I think the lesson here is it's a fighting game and we shouldn't be thinking too much about how the powerlevels are going to match up.
They just will and if the writers are ambitious enough, MAYBE we'll get some bullshit about how the realms merging or magic energies are strengthening/weakening the fighters.

maybe thats why he's labeled as a Boss Character alongside Shoa Kahn

You'd be surprise.

Luthor can hold his own in a fight more than people give him credit for. Besides, unlike Joker he actually has some combat esperience mainly boxing.

batman has defeated darkseid before on the justice leauge. joker sure in the hell had superman down many times on batman superman A. and the JL. lex luthor put the JL through hell and was the one who defeated Darkseid on the The JL on episode 5x13. catwoman dose have super powers.

come on. there the biggest threats.
