Rain, possibly to be in mk6?

Rain was the son of an edenia general who probably got tricked into working for shao khan.

He has unbalievable natural power rivaling any single force in the world.

Storyline: After realizing that he was in a line of greatness, he decides to try to fight for his true homeland after discovering that half is homeland is now conquered by the dragon king. Now Rain must help kitana with his super abilities to singlehandedly leading a couple hundred warriors, against the many numerous dragon king army. Furthermore, Rain is himself involved in battle, wipping out opponents without a problem one on one.

Any thoughts?

Rain on MK6 would be a waste beause we dont need another colored nija we have enuff! subzero,ermac scorpion,noobsaibot,reptile,if i missed any who cares.the only ones we need are scorpion and sub!
The only thing that ever bothered me about the ninjas is that they all looked the same, and had basically the same moves. Like their combos used the same attacks.


With different looking costumes, I wouldn't mind having more ninjas again.

true, the only ninjas we need are sub and scorp, and reptile isn't a ninja anymore.

Yeah, but Rain is not nescessarily a ninja. He can wear pretty much anything.... And he could get some nice moves too..
regarding the fact that he uses the same combos as other ninjas... that obviously won't happen anymore since not even Sub And Scorp. share combos.
I want to see Noob as a ninja though...

For the most part, I understand where you're coming from. If Rain were to be in MK6 (and it might happen), I'd like to see him as a Shogun Ninja with armor and stuff, kinda something similar looking to Shredder from TMNT.

No, because each ninja has their own storyline and background... Scorpion and Sub-Zero aren't the only ninja's that actually mean anything to MK. If Rain is supposed to have a part (most likely a fairly big part) in the storyline of MK6, then he should be added. Just like if he were to have some small part, then he should only be mentioned or shown in endings. (Like Shao Kahn and how he was mentioned/shown in the opening FMV of MK:DA).

And like Bleed said, if he has his own costume and moves then it would work. I hope to see Rain in MK6.

If rain makes it to the MK6 it means he creators of the game really check the forum... because in DA there is no clue whatsoever of rains's return.... I don't think they even mention him...

If anybody noticed Scorpion, Sub-Zero and Reptile share almost nothing with each other anymore. All three have their own individual looks, styles and stories. So if Rain were to return he would be a very different character. Ninja similarities are a thing of the past in my view.

I wouldn't mind having rain remain a ninja. The sharing of ninja moves is a thing of the past as said previously.
He should have new moves, but keep his ninja look. I feel the perfec balance of ninjas in Mk6 would be:
noob
scorp
sub-zero
rain
No need for anymore imho.

After reading everyones comments, I have to say one thing, rain must not emulate scorpion or subzero in any way; he can be a ninja all he likes, but he must be way different, and have a stong stortline like general of kitanas armies, something like that.

And he shoulkd have individual powers, not a clone of Rayden's lighningbolt or anything... maybe they could give hima wind power... and his weapon should be a nice EeeniAN GENERAL SPEAR

That'd be trippy seeing rain again he's had too long of an absence. He just needs a polished up look and like a wet effect (naturally from rain)

I wouldnt mind seeing Rain return, I really liked him in trilogy, he was one of my top three. The mk team could make him look real sic too. Like the wet effect, i like that idea.

I would love to see him return, and the Shredder idea from TMNT is excellent! Also, maybe if they give him a skinny, flexible really light look like Shinobi, then he wouldnt rip off scorpion or subzero and he can have his own look. For everyone whos read some of my other posts know that im a big Rain fan, so GO RAIN!!!!! grin

It'd be cool to see Rain with a new look; I found that he was kind of underated for being a pallet swap. Perhaps he could come back with more emphasis on his other abilities; teleporting and his opponent around the battlefield. Why not give him powers based on rain too, something like a water blast attack, or even a storm attack in which it rains on top of an opponent?

I loved the levitation ball though. But I definitley want Rain back, along with Ermac and Kabal.
