Ive replied to a ton of these threads, but yeah id love to see Rain return

Rain's lightning attack and super roundhouse from MKT/UMK3 were sick, imagine how good they, and Rain himself, will look in MKD. Just picture him in the new interactive environments! If youve seen the new video of Sub Zero knocking Mileena through that wall - imagine if Rain super roundhouse's someone through that! holy shit that would be crazy!

i would love to see rain return.. he could be awesome... from the way things are though as every other ninja appears to be returning it would not suprise me in the slightest if rain does make the game.. perhaps a hidden character...

I wouldn't mind Rain back, however I see a large group of fans gathering their torches and pitchforks for Midway if another ninja is confirmed. If he returns he need an appear overhaul. Wouldn't be surprised at all to see him or Sektor as hidden characters.

I'd like to see Rain return with characters such as Sindel and Tanya returning but like someone in this thread already stated, many will be more annoyed at the return of another Ninja.

I would love to see Rain return, but right now that doesn't matter. I just REALLY want Quan Chi back since he is one of my favorite MK characters ever.

I don't know. Personally I wouldn't mind, but I think alot of other people would. Every ninja besides Rain has been confirmed in some way (If you don't count Cybernetics).

Sub-Zero: Confirmed since the beginning.

Scorpion: Confirmed since the beginning.

Reptile: Alledgedly "The Dragon King".

Smoke: Recently confirmed by Game Informer, and Konqrr as "Neither human, nor cybernetic."

Noob Saibot: Confirmed since the beginning.

Ermac: Confirmed since the beginning.

The only guy left out is our buddy Rain, and I doubt that's going to happen. The classic character roster is full.

Ahhh the rainy one lol. He was tight his rain drop and his thunder bolt was tight i made into a combo all the time but He shouldn't look like Ermac I think he looks dumb but that's just my opinion

I would love to see Rain return as a General working for the believed to be deceased Shao Kahn. Maybe he could have been responsible for Kitana's death. They could make him a real sinister type of character.

I think Bleed did an awesome 3-D version of Rain. It is supirior. If they used that design then yeah I would enjoy to see Rain.

Donno. I have no clue. But there only 2 things missing from this game that I wanted; Sheeva and Rain. But you can't have it all I guess. Thank god for Sindel and Tanya. :D

The ninja's were the funest things in the first 3 MK's.

im glad you all agree with me about rain kicking ass but like some of you said all the other ninjas are in the game so people would get mad if their was anthor but personally i think he should be a hidden charecter or somethin .at least he in the conqest mode.

The thing that makes Deception so great is that it is the return of some classic, comparatively enigmatic, characters that are totally revamped. These are the pallete swiped ninjas anymore. They have finally seperated themselves from each other. So I think the best thing now is to compare them again and see how different each character has become. In a year from now, when we are all kicking ass, or receiving beatings in some cases, it will be about how fantastic these individual characters are now, and not how similar they were many years ago. So I say, let's bring the Rain Man back, and have him prove that he's not just another Scorpion or Sub-Zero clone.

I would love to have rain back. Rain is the last character i need to have all my favorites in mkd (also kung lou.)

Even though we now that it is baraka that is forced to hide in the shadows, I thinks he could be hiding in the shadows. here is the story. When Shao Kahn was being assassinated, Rain ran away and was forced to hide in the shadows. Now the the deadly alliance is gone, he could
#1- wants revengence(a way to bring back Quan Chi and shang tsung)(don't know how to spell their names)
#2- wants to ressurect shao kahn(a way to bring shoa kahn in Mk7)

Actually Reptile really can't be counted since it seems he isn't Reptile anymore. Reptile was only used for his body and even that changed.

So Reptile didn't return really and well Rain is probably not going to. Though I wouldn't mind seeing another unique ninja appearance.

I could care less if others are annoyed. Most people love ninjas. Atleast that's how it was when I would always go to the arcades.

Rain coming back would be more than badass, his story is so easy to come up with. He comes to Kitana to aid her agaisnt the Dragon King. Now whether or not she is in the game, his story will revolve around helping her, and the queen of Edenia Sindel. So instead of Kitana, he'll help Sindel which is practically the same thing. And his ending would be like becoming the General of Edenia's army. Simple yet I think very effective.
