Good story, lame character. He was a disappointing rip-off and the worse boss ever to grace MK. He looks very much improved in MK:A though, so maybe he'll get a chance to redeem himself.

Great story, plunging the earth into darkness and waging a war of the gods, plus all of the MK4 shenanigans I don't feel like listing. Even though he's a favorite of mine, I hope Raiden frys him in MKA. I won't judge him on his moves, because that was a whole generation ago.

The guy seemed really interesting. The execution of his character didn't really come through. Plus I find his fatalities really lame. A person getting crushed by a gigantic hand? That's like Jax's fatality...only with a foot.

Soyna well i liked her n i still do her story is the same stale thing its kind of boring. I like her game play i give her a 7.4 out of 10.
Shinnok: i never liked him i understand hes an elder god and all but i mean really comon. Maybe he'll be better in armageddon but for now my lowest rating a 3 out of 10.

Shinnock was a cool character but...
- he had no moves of his own(I liked the impersonation however)
- I like his story but they should have elaborate a bit more on it

Just didn't seem to fit the role of a good final boss. He needed more development and his moves weren't that great

2-1-/ Great concept and back story but an absolutely dreadful execution and continuation of it in MK4.

Shinnok has great storyline potential which is a plus. He was very dissapointing in MK4 though...he only copied other peoples moves, and was totally lame to use. I think the MK team will do great things with him in Armageddon, and he might become one of my faves....but right now, as he is (remembers MK4) I'm giving him a 5/10

I liked his design and storyline, but he needs his own moves. Hopefully in MKA
he will have his own moves and an intresting storyline. I would like to see how his storyline will be when all the baddies- Kahn, Tsung, Quan Chi, Onaga, maybe even "Dark Raiden", the shokans & centaurs, and maybe Blaze, are in the same game.

Never actually played as him but from looking at him and the cuurent comments 3/10

I love his look and story, but he was very bad in MK4. Hopefulyl MKA can make up for that.

In his Debut he was just another boring Ninja Clone..
But his Return in Deception he had a brand new Look and some cool moves and i find him fun to use.

I'd say 7.5/10 for Ermac.
Like Eunos said, he was just another pallette swap ninja when he was introduced, but they completely revamped him for MKD. I was impressed with his design, but Id prefer he had a few unique moves (non-telekintetic, ok he has his projectile, but most characters do). I still think theres a lot that can be explored with, and through, Ermac, but I dont really wanna see him in the next generation games.

UMK3 he was so mysterious, and so awsome gameplay wise. MKD he's ruined, almost as bad as Scorpion. If I average that out it's about a 7.5/10

Great started off as a ninja which I liked but moved on and became his own character 8.5/10

I completely disagree with subman he was rubbish in UMK3 but much cooler in MKD, I never really play as him though, there are just better characters out there, so therefore I'm going to be harsh and say 4/10

Ermac is a pretty cool character, in my opinion. A servant for Shao Kahn is always a good story line to follow.
