Regarding Jade (not another repeat thread)

As stated many times before, what appears to be Jade's legs can be seen in the prison stage. I wanted to point out that all other versions of Jade in previous games have her with dark (like African American) skin. In this screenshot, however, her skin is clearly lighter (Caucasian?). I wanted to point this out to get everyone's input; maybe it isn't Jade. If it is, then why is her skin so light? I realize that the developers can go back and change this, but I still found it odd.

Please note that this is in no way intended to sound racist. I just found it to be an interesting topic.

I dont care what color she is. It will be awesome if she is in. Unless it is a new character, it is most likely her. There are no other females that wear green. And since most characters are supposed to appear in the Konquest mode, it would make perfect sense to see her in that stage.

maybe they changed her look (like they did with Sub Zero and Kitana) hopefully we'll see a new look and she'll be a hidden fighter!

I wouldn't say it's lighter at all, I would say its the resolution and brightness of the pic, If Jarek's model looks identicle to MK4 then why would they have changed Jade's just so she could be added into a background and for that reason only.

It would sound like a lot of work to me just to add something to add a background but to change its overall color for no reason at all, It would be like adding a Pink'ish Sektor but we all know Sektor is Red.

Sorry but I think this topic is a loosing argument.. Its clearly a dark skinned Jade in the pic.

could just be due to light hitting her a certain way and reflecting kinda or maybe its just because its an early build of the game.

its most likely due to it being an early build.

Cervantes, it sounds like you're saying Jade was in 3D before. That isn't true, so therefore they could not alter (recolor) her 3D model. Sorry if I got the wrong impression from your post.

Jade has never been in 3D. It's her first model. I also think that she is white now.

I dont think color should really matter. That should be one of the least things to worry about. Yeah she was darker in past mk games. In the screen shot shes not that light anyways. She looks a little dark. But who cares?

Don't get me wrong. I'm glad Jade is there, and it does not make that much difference to me what her skin color is.

yup, in MK gold mileena was really dark, and kitana was light. Werent they supposed to look the same? even though they looked different i didnt really care. The character itself was great.

I don't know.. She doesn't look THAT light skinned to me. She's definitely got darker skin than Jarek, at least, and unless my memory is failing me, she wasn't very dark skinned in MK2 or UMK3 either.

She is definitely tanned while Jade is black.

since in that pic above it shows Nightwolf; his skin color is abt. the same as Jade's as if it matters, they look kinda dark to me!
