So the Dragon King is returning(obviously), but nothing about the Reptile-DK host issue... hey the question under that KaoKen3... thats me... ahaha... anyway... I wonder how this will turn out when the game comes out... is Reptile the Dk... you know I bet the MKteam is getting a kick out of us arguing as such

The only thing known is nothing is 100% certain till the game is actually out. Besides I dont recall anyone stating Reptile being the Dragon King except his ending which may or may not have happened.

I love the idea of Reptile being Dragon King. The storyline for his character for the first 5 games has been that he's some evil dude's bitch. Now he's in charge, and it's his turn to order people around.

Besides a great story could be that Reptile/DK wants to resurrect his reptillian race. This makes sense because this has been his character motivation throughout the series. Perhaps only the strength of the head reptile (Dragon King) could revive his race.

I'm assuming and hoping it's true.

Yeah except there is no evidence besides his other endings that it is his motivation. Though I will admit since the race is mentioned in all of his endings that is a strong point you made, but they could easily steer Reptile away from that plot line.

Reptile ISN'T the Dragon King, NO PROFF!!!

The Dragon King still was alive when they began to incubate the last egg of a great dragon!!! The little dragon of the egg INS'T nothing relationed with the Dragon King!!! The Dragon King died, and like his army, was buried in Lost Tomb, but the DK hoped that the dragon was born, towards his extracted blood just his birth the power to revive someday!!!

It's possible that Reptile this relating to the DK, but ISN'T the DK!!!!!

I don't care really.. because I know Reptile comes from a race of species, meaning there is a good chance a ninja or whatever of Reptile that can return in MK:D or MK7.

As it's been said.. it's a video game, they can bring back and kill whoever they want 10x's over.

The fight night transcript says:

" he'lll more likely transform into a dragon.. which is cooler than devolving any further"

This doesn't specifically mean that he will be the Dragon King. It onlu suggests that he will be a dragon of some kind.

I, along with many other people don't believe in 'CONFIRMATIONS' until the MK DEV team say it in DIRECT words, or there is an image showing it.

That is the real definition on confirming things, not speculation because of an ending to a previous game, nor a chat script ages ago that doesn't say dragon king in the part in question!

maybe the dragon king did take reptiles body so what happened to his soul by the sounds of it dk is not a soul eater like tsung or khan so maybe he deposited reptiles soul in one of his armies bodies the dragon king army guy grows scales afer a while and dones the reptile ninja costume of reptile so dk is in his body but reptile is still around everyone is happy

it sounds to me that some of you are having trouble facing the reality of it all..reptile is the dragon king

you people speculate too much and look into things that dont exist...basically make something out of nothing, and its getting annoying.


reptile is the dragon king because:

1) Although some endings in mk are "what if"..there are always a few that actually happen around the main story..reptiles ending is no different...his ending happened.

2) Alexander Barrentine personally confirmed that (a) reptiles ending did happen. (b) that he was infact the dragon king.

straight from the game, and the games creators..what more proof do you need?

reptile is the dragon king. reptile was never a ninja, he was posing as a ninja..to have "ninja reptile" would be both lame and stupid.

I was under the impression that Boon stated that Reptile has evolved into the Dragon King during the chat we had last year when MK:DA came out (something called Fight Night or something like that...). I don't know why some people keep saying there is no proof...

If the great reptile really is the DK, then i have to ask why boon an co would destroy a fan favorite?

y wont they confirm this any further? i wont believe it until we get an update on this site saying "boon says reptile is dk" that fite nite bull shit was over a year ago.

kenshimaster makes some arguments about the baby dragon can't grow in mere hours to be strong, well this is a video game and a baby dragon growing into a supervillian is just as likely as a baby dragon possessing reptile. (i dont like "iownyou" but that was his point and it was good)

besides, this plot is a spinoff from the mummy returns. u all seen it- the scorpion king and his unbeatable army. when the scorpion came out to fight, he just came out all powerful, thats what i believe they will do with the DK also.

maybe the more evolved reptile will be the sub boss, but like i said. they have yet to mention ANYTHING about reptile, dk or not

actually i think the dragon king looks more like shao kahn then reptile...shao kahn is already large and human looking...in my opinion after shao kahn got his ass kicked by shang and quan, the only way he was going to survive is if he let himself become the host for the dk...if u ask me if reptile were the host, the combo of the dk and reptile he would look more like a dragon, like the way liu kang looks in his mk2 fatal... but the dk looks to be half dragon,half human or whatever race shao kahn is from...reptile will be the dk side kick AKA his bitch....lol reptile has always been shao kahn bitch..and still will be lol...

maybe believing that reptile is the DK is part of the deception... eh?

the ingame background has nothing to do with the story..the only reason you can see a baby dragon is only for visual effects.

Wow I wish I had enough time to know every post to man........

Anyway.......DK seems to have a great story either way......but if he would be Reptile I dont want Reptile to disappear.......

There is no evidence supporting Reptile not being the Dragon King, there is only people who refuse to believe out of personal opinion.

The only facts we have on the matter are:

Ive stand corrected, I guess to put it more accurately there is evidence to support that he is the dragon king and good points raised by others that he is not.
