Hi, my name is Ryan, I'm a big radio personality / DJ and well known in the state of Ohio. I have friends in very high places, and I'm a Mortal Kombat fan just like all of you. Matter of fact, most of you may remember me as "That Rant Guy" for the MK vs DCU trailer. To protect my radio career.. I called myself Dante on that particular video.
Anyways, one of my friends in high places, who happens to be a district manager for GameStop, came by my place and dropped off my pre order bonuses early (the lithograph, and the MK vs DCU t-shirts).

This other one I DO have a scan of, is supposed to be released ONLY WITH THE GAME when it releases. He boasted that some GameStops in his district have already recieved early copies of the game, since it has went gold.

When I asked him if there would be a midnight release for MK vs DCU, he laughed, and said no. He said it wasn't likely because this game wasn't nearly as big as Resistance 2, Gears of War 2, or Fallout 3 or Guitar Hero World Tour / Rockband, and that corporate had definately said MK vs DCU will be a DEFINATE no go on a midnight launch.
So looks like your out of luck there, folks.
ANYWAYS, I know someone else took pics of a media kit they had gotten (which is the same as mine) but it was done on a camera phone, without the quality.
I also know that pics of the lithograph and t-shirt are indeed on GameStop's website, however, none again, in this quality.

So I know most of you have seen this, but I'm offering it for you in better quality (thanks to my scanner).
I do hope you enjoy... and if you wish I will post up a scan of my other MK shirt, though I tell you it's very basic, just a dragon logo on the front and "WORLDSCOLLIDE.COM" on the back.

I was told SHIRT #2 was only given to developers or people at midway, or top managers at GameStop and EB only. The shirt #2 is allegedly very limited and again, mainly for the staff at Midway or high up distributors / GameStop managers. That means it is NOT a pre order bonus. I don't think anyone's seen it yet. It does look pretty tight though. really reminds me of MORTAL KOMBAT II for some odd reason. ;)

But I got pics of the lithograph and the shirt, lol. Cool aren't they? Even though I really dislike the idea of MK vs DCU...
The more I have seen of this game, the more I am liking it. And I did preorder the game, no I'm not a hypocrit. I did decide after viewing screens and other shots of the game, that yes, I will play the game for myself, and why not? Because I'm friends with the DM at GameStop here, and he's going to shove the damn game down my throat until I bought it anyway since he knows I'm a huge Mortal Kombat fanatic. (LOL).
Great friends, huh? Oh well. Haha.. yeah.
So I am buying the game. I will if anything just put it up on my "Kollection" next to Armageddon and never play it again if it does suck but oh well.
This game will make or break the MK franchise. I really hope it makes it.
I think it can, too, from what I have seen lately.
Let's just hope.
Bringing back Tobias is what really got me excited for this game, even if just for the comic book.
Let's hold our breaths, folks.
My new rant will be coming out when the game does.
I'm sure many of viewers will see it, too.

I got mine pre-ordered at EB games in Ontario, Canada. They have the card things in but no shirts yet. Anyone know if they are coming to Canada?

Yeah dude, you'll get a shirt, it's just that it takes awhile longer.
I got two shirts.
This one that I got the scan of (and I am wearing now, lol) and another one with the mk dragon logo on it that says "WORLDSCOLLIDE.com" on the back. Hell, I'll take a scan of shirt #2... why not. BRB.


OH, and the LITHOGRAPH pics are now as big as I can possibly get them, for maximum detail.
The quality on it is awesome.;)

SCANS OF SHIRT #2 are up. See the main topic.

Shirt #2 is a rare item, IS NOT given to you for pre order, and is only given to Midway Staff, or distributors (IE GameStop management). My friend who's a DM didn't want his, so he passed it on to me, still wrapped up.

I'm guessing the staff here at MKO MAY have these shirts, maybe they don't? I don't know. I'm guessing they probably do, and other fan site admins may have them as well.
Possibly.
But I do know these are ... rare.
lol.
Go see the scans already.

No, the press kit is another thing that is only given to DM's at GameStop or EB games.
Sorry man. I may sell mine on E-Bay, though.

That is a ridiculous statement. Regardless of how well this one game sells, there's going to be future Mortal Kombats. There just is.
Mythologies, Special Forces, and MK4 couldn't kill the series, what makes you think it can BE killed? Franchises like this don't go away just because they lose their fanbase for a game or two. Look at Tomb Raider.
Could this be just a hint of wishful thinking? With all the bashing of the previous generation of MK games on these boards, and now this one, I keep finding myself wondering what you people are doing on MK message boards, claiming to be MK fans, if you clearly no longer enjoy the series. I'm pretty sure that NORMAL people stay away from things they dislike.

Wow, such angry hatred from RazorsEdge.
Fact: Midway is struggling financially, and has said several times they are banking on this game to bail them out. If this game sucks, nobody will buy it, hence, goodbye to MK, at least from Midway as a publisher.
Not to say it wouldn't be bought by say, EA. Or some other big franchise. But I think it'd be the last MK we'd see anytime soon.

By the way, Razor, are you one of those hateful guys that posted on my rant?
LOL I had so many people posting there claiming I was a homosexual, etc etc.
Even one guy made a video reply who was trying to make fun of me by making a fake shirt and such, but I think instead, he made a funny of himself. I even left the video on my responses because it was so funny.

Uhm, I've got like 50,000 hits on my rant videos... lol.
A lot of people seemed to have cared about my opinion, because I'm great with talking and I don't think it's that MY views were more special than anyon elses, but I think it's that people saw my video, like the points I make in it, and can basically watch and it and look at a Midway Rep and say "YEAH! WHAT DANTE SAID!".

Well that's nice and all, but are those people you got all those responses from even MK fans? Are you really what you say you are, for that matter? MK isn't exactly a popular franchise in the first place. Fans of Japanese fighters like Tekken consider it something of a joke. So it's not unreasonable to think most of the people agreeing with you are just on the bandwagon because they already don't like MK games.

Me? I'm a fan who ENJOYS the games. Y'know, true to the actual definition of the word "fan".

That includes Deadly Alliance, Deception, and yes, even Armageddon. All of which, I seem to recall, sold well for fighting games, which is a genre that never sells as high as your Halos and your GTAs anyway.

This game will perform just as well as MKDA did, if not better, I'm sure of it. Even if it isn't "good" or popular, just like the last few did. So Midway doesn't really have anything to worry about. Every company is having financial troubles, that's just the state of the economy right now. Look at EA, they just had to fire like 600 workers, and they make tons of games people love. I'm not worried about Midway going bankrupt or anything, and as long as there's a Midway, there'll be MK games because it's their top franchise.

All I'm saying is, as a fan of MK, I'm a fan of the past few games. I hope Boon and co. keep doing what they've been doing because that's what I like. If that's not what you like, I'm curious as to why you define yourself as a fan. That's all.
