So we have a Rabid Wolverine and a guy that didn't want his name revoked in Everquest so he spells it Wulverene instead of Wolverine and ends up sticking with it over time.
Does anyone else find it weird the way Scorpion fires his harpoon though?

i guess you and i are the minority. everyone has their opinion so im not going to call anyone stupid or retarded for liking this fatality, but im still curious as to why everyone thinks its so great. i wouldn't say the fatality starts out on the right foot but it could have ended in the right path by sticking to the pattern. breaking a guys neck after ripping a arm and leg off is like punching a guy in the head and then lightly nudging him after. why the hell would boon do this, it makes no real sense, its just senseless acts of violence. the whole idea of the fatality i get; cause the enemy great before you finally kill him, but its still pretty stupid. the way the fatality is performed, its like driving down a one way street and then suddenly taking a left. this seriously does not fit scorpions character. if scorpion wanted to cause someone pain, he would light them up or stick a sword up their ass because hes a badass... or so im told by the rest of you.

I agree completely. It just makes no sense as a fatality.

I finally figured out what I dislike about it. Scorpion puts the opponent out of their misery. That's what's been eating at me this whole time. He rips off their limbs, then he goes over in an "I might kill you now so you don't have to feel this anymore" way. It would have been more Scorpion-ish if he just left them there with one leg and one arm and sadistically watch them bleed to death. That's what Scorpion's famous for, sadistic killings of his opponent. You lose to Scorpion you know a painful death is coming. Your passing is a blessing compared to the little period of life you experience while at Scorpion's mercy.
Just to let you guys know, Scorps is not one of my favourite characters, and if he left the series permanently I wouldn't complain, but I can appreciate the mentality of the character for what it is. The sadistic, I don't care if anyone sees me mutilating you type.

Not true. I've been pleased by a lot of things. I think Smoke has one of the best designs in MK history, I think that MKD has the best cast of new characters since Mortal Kombat 2. However, I think this fatality is lame.

I'v been pleased with everything in Deception so far. Some things have taken a while, but the MK Team have really succeeded in pleasing me, but this Fatality just lacks "it", and I think we all know deep down what "it" is.

And I think people are relying TOO much on Scorpion having his Toasty back. He doesn't have it. It's time to move on and hope for him to have it in MK 7.

Lets not hope he has it in MK7. Midway relys too much on toasty. Anyway I think the fatality is great.

How do they rely on toasty too much?He has had it TWICE in the main games.I dont count UMK3 as a main game.He had it in MK2,and in MK4.How can you say they rely on it.Its more like the fans want to think they rely on it if you think about it.

I liked both of Kira's fatals (even tho I thought the belly rip was a tad boring) and Scorpion's second fatality MORE than makes up for the pure suckiness of his 1st. And Bo Rai Cho's fatality was... THE FUNNIEST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN

My first statement was in regards to the person who said that maybe I was too easy to please. If that was the case I'd love both of Kiras. But I don't.
Also, I'm not saying to forget about the Toasty i'm just saying to forget about it being in this game. Because it's not. Hence, my statement about MK 7.
Btw Scorpions fatality is better than Both of Kiras combined. IMO.

IMO.. I was truly disappointed with Scorpion's fatality and agree with Ermac.... It was lame, Sorry.

I remember back in the early MK2 days the people were trying to come up with ideas for fatalities for characters. I also remember hearing the scorpion should have a fatality like this where he pulls off arms and legs. Now you people bitch??? I thought it was AWESOME. Nice neck break for good measure hehe. All you people who are bitching and moaning about these "lame" fatalities please don't get up. Just keep watching your VCR tapes and eating your TV dinners.
