yeah i think it has too much. i agree sex sells and everything but video games now are going over board with it.

It's today standards in video games. What they wear is pretty revealing. Seeing how fighting games involve fighting which is also involves athletism. In today's games the ppl demand realism so the fighters need to look as realstic as possible including what they wear. Wearing clothes like Jade's and Mileena's makes the impression that they are very athletic. That and there has to be some eye candy ppl. But I agree that video games shouldn't also go overboard with the sex appeal.

You mean the characters who wear swimsuits and thighboots to fight in?...shows a lack of imagination to design female characters who look they just walked out of streetwalker/red light pick up area.

It's about time they varied the focus for the female characters to something more than just prostitute styling.Maybe these design decisions are made by Midway as part of the "sex sells" brief.The male characters have always had more variety.
It's probably also down to Boon and co not doing enough research into female warriors around the world...Malaysia (many female warriors!),England (Boudica ,she's pretty famous and didn't wear a swim suit!) etc etc lots of female clothing styles and characters to work from.

THe whole sex sells bit has been done over and over again, and imo it still works! Being a very lonely single guy, my oppinion isn't much at this point though.....
(In actual honesty I agree with that they need more work into their women's designs, look at the detail put into Sub and Scorp then look at the lack there of at Jade and Milleena.)

Here's a question... do any females on this site find the male characters have sex appeal such as Sub-Zero or Jax's muscles?

Honestly, I don't mind it as long as the attire fits the character's personality. Mileena would wear something that would reveal her beauty in hopes to smite kitana. Kira is the bad girl type, so it would make sense for her to show off her thighs. Sindel, on the other hand, is a queen and a mother. After she regained control of herself, she would have most likely started to wear something more reserved.

Although I like Jade's alt costume(a lot), the revealing ass-wear fits her much.

Well,sometimes they do go a bit too far.Take one of Mileena's alternate outfits.The one that has a small zipper in the middle.She's basically wearing a piece of string.I hope they stop with the breast jiggiling.

The very first pic of Jade that was released showed her in her alt. It's at IGN. But you'd have to see the bio vid if you want to see her over-done back-side.

I'd like to see a female ninja type character in MK similar to Ayame from the Tenchu series and she doesn't really wear revealing clothes.. I think a character like that would be very cool but also would get thrown away or cast aside because of all the chicks with their tits jiggling around and hanging out so she wouldnt even get noticed... horrible.

Sex sells, And i like a pretty face, Nice body with healthy butt/breasts. But i like the outfits to be more tasteful... With some cleavage of course, lol.

I personally thought that Sonya's outfits were the best out of all of the girls in MK:DA.
