no, Shang Tsung can't have telekinetic powers, i like Ermac as much as the next guy, but if he can't be in we need Kenshi, because Shang Tsung just won't look right.

I'd prefer Quan Chi. He's more badass. But I wouldn't mind seeing Shang Tsung either.

Well, personally I'd like Quan-Chi more as far as Shang vs. Quan.

However, as far as say if it's a choice between the two in this game I'll go with Shang because he's been around longer and can morph but either one would get owned by Superman it's not even funny...

I'm aware about the magic, but you have to realize Raiden NEARLY defeated both of them and he's a lot slower then Superman is...Superman remember has super speed(faster then a speeding bullet) and would just speed behind them and punch them thru a wall lol or he could merely get some distance and burn them with his heat vision

Everyone knows who he (Shang) is. If I grab a random guy off the street around my age and asked him who Quan Chi was he'd probably tell me "uhh some emperor from China?"

Huh, it'd be an interesting combo. I'd actually want to see that... and I hate Quan Chi. Interesting..

Is it actually the strength that could make one of them beat down Superman or something more complex? I doubt either of them could compare to Superman in the field of brute powers, even if it is Tsung's morphing and Quan Chi's summoning undead armies to assist him. It should rather be cunning, to trick Superman into being calm and believing the sorcerers are his allies, then striking him purely out of blue.

The cunning is more of an epithome to Quan Chi than to Shang Tsung. I like Shang Tsung, but Quan Chi would DESIGN (!) a better manner to enfeeble Superman and beat him dishonestly, as that could be the only way for him to defeat someone like Superman. Remember how Tsung needed to take down Liu Kang?

Quan Chi maybe isn't too iconic than Shang Tsung (really?), but he fits more with the game, and Joker can be his counter (and Ra Has Gul = Shang Tsung?)

Both are great. However, as icons go, Shang Tsung is the bigger one of the two .He's the original boss of the series and that lone puts him above Quan Chi in the icon stakes. I would love to have them both in. Quan has done so much for the MK story and he is very badass!

Like I said before, it wouldn't matter which sorcerer Supes faces he'd own either of them or both because of his super speed.

While Shang morphs he would have already eaten Supermans fist by that time would be either A. dead or B. half way in the ground or thru a wall lol

If you're looking for the iconic sorcerer you can't go past Tsung. He's the final boss in the first mortal kombat game. Quan Chi came a bit late in the series.

Personally I've always seen Quan Chi as someone who just ticks people off and use them. Sub, Scorpion, Tsung, Kahn, Taven. At this rate he's not going to have any friends left. But fingers crossed this game will not be cannon and things like that don't matter as much.

The smaller character roster will make it easier for Tsung to have his shape shifting moves again. How else to take down Superman than.... Superman.

Of course, what you neglect to take into account is that they mentioned that Superman's powers are decreased to some degree by the alterations in the realms, making him more on the level of someone a Kombatant could take on. Meaning he probably won't have his godly super-speed.

To revise your post, thus: "So AFTER Shang morphs, Superman will pretty much be eating his own fist, and by that time will be either A. on his ass or B. being bombarded by magic or C. both. lol"



I think that Shang Tsung is definitely the more iconic, and though I'd like to see both him and Quan Chi (I prefer Quan), Shang is probably more likely to be in the game.

Shang Tsung is the true iconic sorcerer, so he'd be the one. However, Raiden (not a sorcerer) but still, would be most matched up to Superman.
