Quan-Chi, since he seems to be the main bad guy since MK4, with all his deception and stuff.

So, yeah, Quan-Chi.

I've dubbed MK1-MK3 the "Shao Kahn Saga."
I've dubbed MK4-MKD (if Quan-Chi survived) the "Quan-Chi Saga."
Oh, and if anyone killed Shang Tsung, it was Kung Lao. Kung Lao was the one who fought him.

Quan Chi definitely survives. Liu Kang can't be alive if Shang is alive, unless Shang willingly set free Kang's soul which is highly unlikely.

Shao Kahn's saga is definitely not over btw.

If one of them is said to die in the opening than yeah I say it will be Shang Tsung to bite it, I mean it's just logical...Liu Kang's soul would have be free to be able to run around fighting people right? And for that to happen Shang would have to be killed and/or severly weakend in some way...I'd rather Quan Chi stick around anyway. He just owns. Plus I want to see his Telestomp return.

I'd definately rather see Shang survive. If Shang is in the game I'd like to see him as the Dragon King's right hand mam, or he saves Li Mei's soul, as he discovers that she's his daughter, only for him to discover the Dragon King wants him dead.

Tsung them desides to do the only logical thing, make a trade with Earthrealm. Raiden's (and/or Kung Lao's soul for Liu Kang's and maybe Sonya could be thrown into the bargin for the Dragon Amulet. Tsung would have a lot to do with Deception. Maybe Raiden and Tsung have been in it together all along just to train Earthrealm in anticipation for the Dragon King?

I would prefer Shang Tsung for 2 reasons:

1. I like Shang Tsung
2. I don't like Quan Chi

As you can see my thoughts on this matter are very well thought out and are as justifiable as they are absurd.

Shang is dead. I hope he stays that way. I hope Quan Chi makes a return to the game.

Both of them are coming back. They'll need each other for certain things.

I think that the Raiden's soul in exchange for Liu Kang's is a possibility, based on Raiden's faith in mortals and in Liu Kang.

I do think that both the Deadly Alliance will be playable in Deception, probably as two the secret characters that aren't selectable right off the bat.

No he's not. He's not dead until Midway says he is, or we see the game tell us and/or show us so.

I think that info is complete bull. I'll wait until Gamespot or IGN says that.

Quan Chi is awesome. I hope he survives. If Baraka protects him,I think his ending will be similar to his MK Gold Ending.

I love Quan Chi, I hope he stays, greatest bad guy in MK history IMO.


I love Shang as well, but without the morph he is not the same

I want Quan Chi to survive. He is one of my favorite characters. He made a huge impact on Mortal Kombat, even if he showed up in the worst of them all.

I think shang should be gone for his lack of morphing. And if they bring him back maybe they could have him morph into a few selectable people that were killed in DA. But seeing as how they probably won't bring back Shang with the morphs it pretty pointless to ask for him back.

I hope Quan Chi comes back, I thought he sucked in DA but he rocked in MK4...he didn't seem as evil in DA as in 4, I hope if he is in it that the MK: Team would fix this. I would also be nice to see Quan Chi either fight the Dragon King for power, team up with the dragon king, or team up with him then later stab him in the back.

I agree, Quan Chi was pathetic in DA. Just look at his fatality! He went from ripping their leg off and beating them to death with it to that hideously stupid "neck stretch" fatality *shivers* he could of at least broke it off after stretching it.

He is however, a far better choice at this point to survive. Shang's been declining ever since MK2 lost it's luster. Not to mention the fact that with Liu Kang's return, Shang's death is almost assured (I doubt he would willingly set Kang's soul free). And even if Shang is alive, it'll just be a repeat of all the other MK's (you saw how bad Liu was kicking his ass in DA's intro FMV) and I'm pretty damn tired of that same old story.

I say they let Shang's legend end and move on to a new threat, a new enemy. Let the Dragon King reign supreme.
