Shang Tsung is the man. I hope to God he is back.

I'd take Shang Tsung over Quan Chi anyday.

No I would definitley take Quan Chi over Shang Tsung but Shang Tsung is still awesome.

Shang Tsung is awesome, he was the original bad

guy. Id say they should bring back his look from

MK1 oldskool. That look and his morphing ability

would make him an awesome character.

this is not what this topic is about i like quan chi, but i would give my left nut to have shang tsung of old not the DA version the mk2, or mk3 version, maybe even change his story to, when shao kahn died his powers lifted from shang tsung and made him an old man again, then that would give shang all of his old powers

my question would be how does that make sense, the old Shang Tsung still worked for Shao Kahn so how would Shao Kahn's death change anything. Unless you were planning on revamping the WHOLE mk storyline

With the way most characters are looking in Deception I have a feeling he'll have his MK 1 look. I hope they bring him back, and it would be nice to see Quan Chi return but alot more buff.

i like the mk2 look with the hat the most.

remember in mk 2 after shang lost the tournament Shao Kahn granted shang powers that made him young, if Kahn is dead then shang goes back to old, i think that would be cool

I love Shang to death but I can't see him in MKD. Without Quan or Kahn, his best bet is to ally with Raiden which is SHOCKING.

I could see Shang Tsung aging abit more due to the lack of souls he consumed. Shang Tsung could have been betrayed by Quan Chi but was saved by Moloch and Drahmin Shang Tsung would then retreat back into the Outworld alone and no army while Quan Chi hogged all the glory only to get it stolen from the Dragon King. So both sorcerors would be at a weaker state than before.

You know what, he's my fav of all time, and I have a bad feeling he will not be in this game. They have showed a fair amount of other fighters, and he should be one of the more prominent ones. I do however, hold out hope that he will be at least hidden.

If it was possible, i would like to see him come back with his morphing.....although it does make him too powerful.....

Shang tsung is played out, his moves last game (mkda) where horrible and weak. For him to be a boss or even in a position of power is dumb. He's played his role.

That's the thing, Shang Tsung hasn't. I think Tsung should be used as a marker for people that played maybe MK1 and MK2, and then play Deception.

Tsung is probably the most easy character to write stories for, plus his moves sucked in Deadly Alliance because he didn't have at least 4 of them. I think they should sort of have Dragon King recognize Shang Tsung, and Tsung returns to the Dragon King's die. It would deepen his story.

Played out??? Are you kidding?! Shang is easily one of the better characters in the game. After the defeat of the deadly alliance there is a thousand places they can take his story line. Just give him his classic moves (Morph, 1, 2 or 3 fire ball options *screaming skull kind* and ground fire) Those moves mixed with his excellent fighting styles would make him easily one of the highest ranked characters.. No my friend Shang Tsung is far from done if they handle him correctly.

Also I read this in one of the MKDA threads but it is a really good Idea. Someone said that if he were to have his morphs he should look like the character and have there moves, but keep his *own* Fighting styles - Snake, Crane and Straight Sword. The only reason Why I don't think it will happen for deception is because Think it would be a bit of a hassle to give ALL of the other characters animations for Shangs Fighting moves. I do think it is an excellent idea though. Can't remember who posted it.

I like Quan chi better. he's one of my favs.

Uh Shao Kahn is dead, so is Shang Tsung and they both should stay dead.

I don't think Shan Tsung will suddenly get older now that Shao Kahn has 'died'. He still looks rather young after they tried to assassinate Kahn.

Even, though I like Quan Chi more than Shang Tsung, I wouldn't mind him coming back.

Um Where is it confirmed that either Quan Chi or Shang Tsung are dead? *One* of the only believable endings in DA was Raiden's and he said that they were defeated not dead or destoyed. I do not believe Shang Tsung is dead, Quan Chi either. Shao Khan is a different story because he is confirmed dead.

Yes well Kung Lao killed Shang, Quan Chi may still be alive or fused with drahmin.
