Should bone breakers be back?
I think it would be cool if they made it more realistic. It would be cool to see Sub-Zero break Scorpion's arm so he can only use one hand to wield his sword or if Reptile bit out someone's tendon in their ankle making them limp.
Yeah it would be a good idea but that may make the game un-balanced giving the other character an advantage. I think the team wants to keep the game as balanced as possible so people don't complain about cheaters or AI's being jerks.

I think bone breakers should come back. Then temporarily, a fighter can't do certain attacks, then after about 10 seconds or so, the bone has healed and can attack again. So, they would be used as temporarily disabling moves.

I don't think that would be a good idea. This game is based around stradegy in fighting and using your surroundings for your advantage.
Crippling someone in an enviroment that could kill you would give the opponent such a great advantage and the odds of loosing will greatly outnumber the player's chance of winning.

I think bone breakers could be done, but it would need to undertake a great overhaul.
I think Bone breakers could be established after a chain of moves have been blocked, or executed, and then a "bone breaker" could be done in a small time frame while the opponent is open to an attack. HOwever I don't think the effect should be an actual "bone break." I think they should cripple the opponent by decreasing attack efficiancy. Sorta like a negitive power up, so if your arm was "broken" punches would deal less damage, however you would still be able to function both arms; and kicks would retain their normal damage payout.
It would be something that would be hard to implement, it would add some realism, but these are suspoes to be oustanding fighters, and really a few mistakes probbly means your dead. But I guess if done right it could work.

I like your idea, mkraiden. Like if they have a "broken wrist", all of their punching attacks do like 1/2 damage for a while temporarily. But the Bone Breaker moves themselves should be hard to execute--maybe like a button tap sequence like in having to do the Brutalities manually back in MKTrilogy where you'd have to press high kick, run, low kick, run, high punch, block, run, low punch, etc. and on an on. And this would add strategy, because you think your opponent is just attacking but is really beginning to do a bone break.
I think they should come back--adds another dimension to the game play. And, for people who don't like it, there would be the option of turning them off, abnd perhaps even turning off throws for that matter.

I liked the bone breakers from MK4 alot. I think they should just leave it as it is and put a whole bunch of kool ones in Decep. I dunno but the snapping and wrenching is appealing to me. If you don't wanna have em there should be a simple option in the menu to turn them off and yes in fact throws too.
And no, I don't think they should be as long as brutalities were, that's a little to long. Just a direction+button or two would do for me.

How about 4 seconds instead ? 10 seems like too much.
