If you want a challenge then yes. PS2 or XBOX is good as far as competition.

Yeah man, there are a lot of other good games to play online also. Though beware, MKD plays much better online compared to MKA.(if you have both)

Burnout series is good if you're into racers, sportsgo with MLB2k7 for baseball, NHL for hockey, Halo of course(another game expect to get rocked at first)

it really doesn't MKF. The thing is MK:A is just a faster pace game. In MK:D there is no wake up and opens the door for easy semis that a 4 year old could do. Plus no one plays MK:D anymore. no, not just for MKA...get it for UMK3 too, its much better because you don't have to worry about KAKs or MOB.
But thats if you got a 360, theres alot of great xbox live games like Halo and other stuff.

I have a 360 and I think it is pretty tight. I have the one of the first ones when it first came out. I still havent had any problems with mine. @pig you might want to get a Madcatz controller if you plan on playing MKA still. There are lots of cool options for the 360. I look forward to the next console MS makes.

MKD played better online man, more smoother and the camera wasn't junk either like it is in MKA. I think it's a fun game, don't get me wrong but just about everyone agrees that MKD played better then MKA and UMK3 plays better then the both of them easily.

I do expect a GREAT challenge online. I know I'm not the best, just better than my brother and my two friends I play with (they say it). They just don't like to play anymore.
