Is it me or does anyone else miss how in MK2 they had sonya and kano in the game chained up, why cant they place the characters in a background somewhere kinda like cyrax in the desert in mk trilogy. If you gonna keep characters gone, then at least explain where they are.

I kinda like that idea. I think they should have Cage in a background, but not selectable. I'd even tolerate him being hidden and selectable, but I don't want him in this game as a main character. He seemed to stick out in MK:DA like a sore thumb. But that's just my opinion. He didn't seem to fit in with the game. I'm not saying that they should never bring him back, because I think that I get sick of characters and then I want them to return after they've been gone. I was sick of Rayden and Scorpion after MK2, but missed them a lot when they weren't in MK3. Cage has never been one of my favorite characters, but I wouldn't want him to "never" come back. I say leave him out for a game or two and let a good deal more of the fans actually want him to return.

Oh yeah, and when they do bring him back, for the love of GOD, update his look!! He's had those same spandex shorts in some form or another since the very first MK!

Johnny Cage is one of my favourite characters in the series. But his storyline needs work, it's been pretty much the same since MK1. Even his "death" and ressurection seems to have been overwritten in MKDA. A one game break could be what he needs to give the MK team time to do something interesting with him.

I always had a theory that Cage was meant to be hated and not important to the story. To be the only realistic human being with his own motives and not out to really save the world. I love him for his breath of fresh air even if his story is becoming dull. I want him back badly.

Cage is one of my top 3 favorite characters ever(besides Sub-Zero and Smoke). I love his look, moves and his overall character. He's the kind of person I would hate to death in real life, and I guess that's why I Like him so much. Please bring him back Ed!

If he has a new look, a decent story and isn't overly useless then let him come back.

From what I know he'll be sitting out MKD! He's alive, not dead.

*sigh* True and there is only one slot left for any of the originals since all of them were in MKDA (except Liu Kang, but he's already confirmed.)

Johnny has never been one of my favs, nor do I hate him...to me he's just there. An updated story would do wonders,but I assume almost everyone knows by now who I would rather have fill in that last slot. Let Johnny take a break and come back in MK7 with a new look and attitude. Hopefully by then he'll understand that there is some more important things than his acting career and his hair.

Actually, Sub-Zero is not a classic from Mk1. Thats his older dead brother.

Anyway, about Cage....DUH! He is like a must to teh storyline! We need the movie star.

Change his look??....HELL NO! Why do that when it will totally ruin the Cage fans love? The pretty boy style? Change his story....HELL YEAH! But dont forget we need other story change like overrated scorpion.
