They could explain his connection to Shao Kahn and have him return in result to the emperor's death...

He was not bad, but it doesn't look like he'll be back again. They need to introduce more new characters than bring back old ones.
I think he should return. He had a cool look (even reminded me of Kahn), and like Ermac, he had an underdeveloped storyline.
I really would like to see Ermac as a boss someday. Wether it be an MK game or a corporate conglomerate.

I thought that, as far as the games go, Reiko was Shao Kahn. I don't want to start a huge argument or anything, but look at his Gameboy Color MK4 ending if you don't know what I'm talking about.
Please don't hate me now that I said something you might disagree with.

Here are some of the facts:
Reiko is not Shao Kahn.
Yes, Reiko was part of the Brotherhood of the Shadow. (note: I said was)
Yes, Noob Saibot is part of the B.O.T.S. just like Reiko was.
There are other kombatants that are also part of this elite group. Some have kept that allegiance hidden, but not for much longer. (not all members are male)
The Brotherhood of the Shadow are followers of the fallen elder god Shinnok.
An individual in MK:DA has strong ties with the B.O.T.S. and a boss from a previous MK game.
Remember that not everything is always as it seems in MK games.
However if you want more information on storylines of any of the MK characters let me know and we can discuss more using messengers or email.
I am restricted in what I am allowed to post in public forums about story lines due to the possibility of it being a "spoiler" for future releases of MK games.

If you aren't under the Midway umbrella, you are either connected to the gaming press. Perhaps strategy guides. Those guys are allowed a lot of access to things such as plots and what not. Not an end-all, "All Access" thing, but more than say..an editor of an independent online gaming site.
Anyhow, I think Reiko should--AND IS coming back. There are a reason for things, and that damned helmet/throne incident from MKG is no different.
