Maybe he should get his revenge on Quan Chi, and that his inner demons finnaly release him from this mortal realm. In his ending we see him ascending to the heavens where he is welcomed by his wife and child.

Then again this is mortal kombat so chances are we see that happening,are rather slim

I would like to see his curse lifted, then asked by the elder gods to join subzero in destruction of the real bad guys. Scorp like Subby is What brought me to MK1 and they will keep me here. They cant die. THEY ARE MORTAL KOMBAT. But in ninja form. not that wild dude in mk3. hehe

OK, what if Quan Chi was killed by Scorpian, Scorpian's curse is lifted, but his ninja spectre self is ripped from him to become a different being, and his real soul asends to the heavens.

Scorpion was never under any curse. It is under Scorpion free will that he has hunted his killer. When it comes to Mortal Kombat 4 's Scorpion said you are now free from my curse to Sub-zero. Not the other way around. Given the fact that Scorpion has cursed Sub-zero all those years( cursed as in Scorpion was hunting Sub-zero since MK2 and tring to kill him). Since MK4 Scopion curse over Sub-zero was lifted. Now that curse it toward Quan Chi. Now Scorpion will go after Quan Chi( curse is now apon Quan Chi). When it comes to MK: Deception I don' t see why Scorpion is back , since there is no sign of Quan Chi is back. I guess I will find out threw time.

But do something to him... the haunting is nemesis story as run out of freshness....
Make him stay as a specter, fine, but twist the thing around a bit!

Maybe he'll become Subzero's protector if someone kills Smoke or Frost.

I would like it if Scorpion's grudge on Quan Chi would be put on hold. Scorpion could be caught in the middle of a war between the Dragon King and Earth Realm. Scorpion could interact with Sub-Zero and the Lin Kuei and he would be annoyed by all of the chaos that is in the realms. If Scorpion gets his revenge then he will not be in any future Mortal Kombat game and alot of fans would be disapointed if they never see him again.

I hope not. I mean a man should have something like that lifted but not scorpion. Thats what makes him what he is.

Yes, I agree, they should change Scorpions story.

However, the problem is that if they lift the "curse" then he no longer has a reason to fight.

And by the way, you can't really say he's "cursed" he comes back because he wants to, to be able to avenge his family. He i being driven by hatred for the one that killed his family.

I wonder what his story will be this time because there's no sign of Quan Chi.

He should get his revenge on Quan Chi before they lift the curse. However, they should change his story direction a little before he gets his revenge.

Here is my story idea for him.

Scorpion:
After being torn apart in the soulnado, Scorpion now returns angrier, more powerful and more determined than ever. Whilst in hell, he had been granted more power and the chance to return. However, Scorpion now has a new mission. The Dragon King had been tapping into the energies of the Netherealm and had released several souls and warriors to do his bidding. However, it was clear that he was searching for something. That something being the third Oni. Unknown to many, the Oni were the key to unleashing a dark power. Releasing this power would spell the end of the Netherealm. It’s legions of souls and evil beings unleashed upon the realms. As the Guardian of the Netherealm, Scorpion must find the Oni and destroy them or bring them back to the forbidden realm. Or, he could hunt down and kill the Dragon King. And of course, there was always Quan Chi to deal with later.

That sounds like a pretty good story Tgrant but i'd like to see him get his revenge on Quan Chi in MK:D. Every MK game he has been seeking revenge, he dies comes back still wanting revenge. This is getting kind of old if you ask me. Let Scorpion have his revenge. He finally gets his revenge on Quan and his soul gets to rest. The DK is searching for the 3rd and final Oni to release the evil beings of the netherrealm upon all the other realms. Raiden asks Scorpion to return to earthrealm to help fight against the threat of the Dragon King. Raiden tells him if he agrees then he will be brought back to his human form and that the memories he gave up for revenge will be restored, if he is to agree to help against the DK. Scorpion agrees and is brought back and is no longer a hell specter bent on revenge but a human. From there you go so many different ways with Scorpion, he could team up with Sub-Zero and help re-build the newly formed Lin Kuei. He could also have some Deception of his own and now that hes once again human having his memories that he gave up for the revenge that he has now completed back he could choose to take sides with the DK an give true meaning to the title "Deception".

That's pretty cool. It gives Scorpion a secondary motive. Now he's not only out for revenge but he's also a type of undead bounty hunter, looking to take back the renegade souls.
P.s. I thought that after beating MK1 it said that Scorpion was put under a curse which transformed him into the ninja spectre, causing him to loose all memory of his family. So what I'm saying is, if this curse was lifted, and he was changed to fit a new style, would you still except him or would you rather put up with his boring story and keep him the way he is?

I posted this same story in its own thread earlier today but only feed back i got was from some wanna be mods telling it was spam so i'm going to post it in here mabye someone will read it for what it is and not just bitch about how i opened a new thread that wasn't completely original so here it is:


The intro to Deception shows Scorpion excating his revenge on Quan Chi, he kills Quan. His revenge having been completed his soul goes to rest. With Scorpion out of the way the Dragon King starts to search the netherrealm for the third and final Oni. Raiden hears of this and returns to the heavens to find and ask Scorpion for his assistance in defeating the DK. Raiden tells Scorpion that if he agrees then he will be human once again. Raiden also says that he will restore the memories of his wife and child. Scorpion agrees to help Raiden and returns to earthrealm as a human with the memories of his lost family restored. Remebering his dead family and being human once again his emotions get the better of him. He asks Raiden for some time to clear his mind. Raiden agrees to give him some time to come to terms with the loss of his family. In a near by forest Scorpion practices his katas to clear his mind. Out of no where he is amushed by two vicious creatures who go by the names Baraka and Mileena. An epic battle is fought throughout the forest but Scorpion no longer being a hell spectre his is slightly weakened. The battle is fought and Scorpion finds himself at the mercy of Baraka. Baraka, had it been up to him would have killed him on the spot but, Milenna stops him reminding him of the strict orders given to them by their master, the Dragon King. Baraka decides just to knock him unconscious rather then kill him, because of what his master would do if he were to disobey a direct order. When he comes to he is confronted by none of then the DK himself. The Dragon King knew of Scorpion and his despair. He makes Scorpion an offer he won't refuse. Join me he says and help me become the ruler of all realms and i will send you back to a time you thought was gone forever. Aid me in my quest for power and i will send you back to your family where you will live with them until the end of your days. Overwhelmed by the thought of seeing his wife and child again Scorpion readily agrees. The Dragon King has gained yet another powerful ally.

I think Scorpion has finally had his revenge, Quanchi as much as I want him in most likely wont be in it. This event opens up scorpions story and gives him a new reason of existence and it could go anywhere. They wouldn't keep his story the same as always, its time for a change.

But if Quanchi is dead then how can he still be cursed?
