I was thinking that it would be cool if MK Dev Team finally gave up on rounds. Just give a lot more life and that would be cool. What do you think?

If you have played Tao Feng, that is what I want. Three lifebars in one round.

I'm all for that. It especially make sense to incorporate something like that instead or rounds, given the way the stages are gonna be with death traps and all. We could have mulitcolored life bars that go from green to yellow and finally to red. The way it is most fights won't last long anyway with traps all over the place and getting knocked of buildings and stuff so I think to have round would be pointless.

I like that idea, after getting impaled with a weapon .. who would really be up for a round 2? lol .. More life and one bout does make more sense .. I would welcome it.

Exactly, just like in MKDA when you got impalled in round 1 and the weapon just disapears and your all better for round 2!

Take a page from Killer Instinct's book...the multiple life bar path is much more fluid and realistic.

yeah i agree the multiple life bar idea is more relastic speically given that u can perform a stage fatality (death trap) at any given time

Yeah I agree with this thread because the levels are multi-tier...so you don't want to see your fighters stop and re-position themselves for the next round.

I never even thought of that. I would assume if there are rounds that you would start at the place you left off.

You made a very strong point there.

While it is possible to just have them get right back up and start the next round, the idea of theoretically longer matches (barring death-traps) because of less damage inflicted or multiple health meters that are one round only sounds like a brilliant idea.

The one thing that they must do if they make the matches last only one round is:

* Have an option for reducing/increasing damage inflicted. This option existed in all the other MK's and I was very disappointed that the option wasn't in MK:DA.

I love long drawn out fights! If you add in the dynamics of death traps, the intensity and adrenaline rush will increase tenfold.

I think the seperate round feature is going to be tossed in the garbage in this next Mortal Kombat.

I think that with the multi platform stages and the so called "death traps" the mutliple life bar feature is going to replace all of that.

So in "Deception" the fights are going to last alot longer with no pausing and will flow as smooth as water.

It would be pointless to have a deathtrap in the middle of the ground to suddenly end the first round with a fatality.

The multiple life bar makes more sense with all of these new features in Mortal Kombat. So this question was already answered when everyone heard of "death traps".

I agree 3 life bars should replace the round system. However I would miss Shao Khan saying what round it is.

Me too, but I would rather there be one match (and have Kahn hidden in the game!)
