posted03/18/2004 04:58 PM (UTC)bythe reason I say this is because i've missed "the pit". Well they gave us that cheap pit trick on MK4 but I loved to see the look on my friends face when i launched them into the pit good times. Also i never saw the pit 2 what happens anyway The Pit 3 was awsome tell me what u think

I'd love to see it back. In 3d it would look amazing. The scream of the enemy, the scream on impact witht he spikes and the spray of blod would be awesome! ANd then their thisthingisdisabled as the camera closes in on their still corpse would be agonising but funny.
The Pit 2 saw the opponent being knocked of a bridge by an upperdut. They landed onna cocrete floor far below them and were killed by the impact and laid in their own blood. I think the Pit 2 should come back too.

I'm not sure. I tried it many times too when I got to play the game but it never worked. I don't think they put it in, just the stage itself. I'm not sure though.
I'm sure someone will have an answer for you.

Damn straight they should bring back the original pit. It was the best one. That was the first 'Fatality' I ever did (even though it didn't count). When I first started playing MK in the arcades I didn't know any of the moves, so I just finished the match with an uppercut, and boy what a shock it was to me that first time I did the uppercut on that bridge, and the poor bastard went falling down to his horrible doom onto the spikes.

MK Deception should have classic stages like The Pit returning, but, to intertwine with the whole stage interaction features of the game, The Pit should be part of Shang Tsung's Island, which would be a HUGE level, with all the stages from MK 1 on it plus some areas from the MK Movie.
Until next time

The pits have been a staple in the series since it's inception. They later branched into what is now known as "Stage Fatalities" or even "Death Traps."
The Pit and some of the other classics should make their return because they would make a fantastic transition to their new 3d enviroment.
You have to remember that the game has changed from a 2D plane to a fully 3D rendered environment. On a narrow bridge, the ability to dodge would be lost. Moves that have require sidesteps, etc, would be lost.. Otherwise, you fall in.
Then again, with multi-tiered levels, you could easily make the pit several layers deep with several bridges down to the spikes in the bottom.
The best level for this design would probably be the Bell Tower. The fight could continue on down flights of stairs on every floor until it as finally time to finish them off and send them into the pits and floors below...
Just some thoughts.

Pit II IS NOT AVAILABLE on trilogy. This is because trilogy had SOOOOO many different characters, the programmers would have to go back and program different animations for each one and so they ruled it out. Yes the stage is still in trilogy, but the fatality is NOT...youll just have to wait ti midway arcade treasures OR download the SNES version via an emulator
thats a good idea but they should have the pit bottom look like the one in MKTRILOGY i loved the idea of fallen warriors. I like the fact all of you want the pit back the classic pit was hot but i think the pit 3 was just as sweet. and when u said they should have all the 'original' levels that would be flippin awsome good thinking man
