Skeptical fans... What we have done for MK.

We grew up with MK.

We've stuck by it through the worse.

We stuck by it through its hardships transferring to 3D.

Even through that redundant fighting system that started in MKDA.

We bought Special Forces.

We were there when they destroyed the MK2 story line in Shaolin Monks.

And when there was hardly a storyline in MK Armageddon.

We bought the continuosly re-released and milked Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3: (ie: Mortal Kombat 3, Ultimate MK3, MK Trilogy, MK Advance, Ultimate Mortal Kombat... What's the difference? A few new levels/charcter changes... blah...)

We paid for re-releases JUST for extra characters/modes: MK Deception on Gamecube, MK Armageddon on Wii...

We watched Mortal Kombat Annihilation.

Most of us still wait for our unheard cries for Mortal Kombat Conquest on DVD in America. And the ending of that series could make a grown man cry... Ha!

We put Mortal Kombat on the throne of glory it sits on, high above the other fighting games... And our reaction towards MK vs DC will have its effects. It's a dark time for MK fans around the world, but once Ed and the crew see the effects take shape (ie: drop in sales...) which there obviously will be, we'll see another GOOD MK game. So I say vent on the forums, put all your favorite MK games in the closet, use MK vs DC as target practice, whatever it takes to get over this tragedy...

And for all you fans of MK vs DC (the ones laughing at the people who are pissed). I've got nothing to say to you except... Whatever, enjoy your 'cross over', while it last...

Until next time... See all you good people later. But tell them what you've done for MK... Tell them why we're pissed. Meanwhile, I'm gonna go enjoy some good old sarcastic jokes and pics about MK vs DC that some of you funny bastards are posting.

Time will tell, but judging by the way things are going now, plus the effort it takes to get rights to the names of characters from DC to interpret into the story... meaning they'd have to get the rights if they even referenced the names of DC characters in MK9... I doubt it. This game is just flavor of the week.

I have to admit last night I was just as pissed as anyone else, I said alot of stupid shit... But hey, who can blame us? Which on the subject, I'd like to apologize to Crow for saying 'Fuck You'... But I will say, we were only believing the hoax thing to hold on to what little we had left to hope for, ha!

Okay, all we got was a really short trailer and a picture of sub and Batman, we know next to nothing about this game, it is FAAAAR to early to judge it. Give it time dude, it may turn out good.

Ed Boon has talked about doing a crossover for years now. He said in our interview, mentioning pretty much every fighting series, and said that some were pursued and some actually got further along than others. DC presented itself rather out of the blue, and since no one else was biting at the time... they took the offer.

I think, personally speaking and if this were a gaming franchise I created, I would want to fulfill my own dreams for it. This is Boon's desire; it's what he has always wanted to do. He should be able to do it without death threats and unreasonable fans, in my opinion.

As stated... there have been worse things in MK's history, FAR worse. This game can't be worse than MKA, in my own humble opinion, so I'm not really too discouraged.

You're talking about the same guy who tried to explain how Shaolin Monks was canon. Boon doesn't give a shit about the story.

Ah, if I played it, I'd probably ignore the DC characters and just play as MK ones... That's all the advice I'd say to any nay-sayer such as myself. It's still an MK game, just buried under other stuff...

Armageddon or Advance? Both tended to have it's disappointments.

...But, nah, I don't know about the rest of the negative fans, I still won't buy the game for 50-60 dollars... I guess that doesn't make any of us less of a fan though... Agree with Boon? No... Get in his way of living a dream of his (or his wallet)? Blah, not at all.

The concept would still have it's issues, but at least the sense of preperation would be better. As Shaolin Monks style filler, I think it's a lot easier to lock in to the fun frivolity of it. It just isn't a way to put the foot forward we were expecting from everything promised.

If this was an in-betweener, like something to hold us over until the real MK8, it would've been easier to accept... Still wouldn't buy it though... In the music industry, we would call this action 'selling out'.

Those who hate it will either:
1. ignore it like it was a plague...
2. claim to not buy it, but do so anyways and maybe like it.

Those who like the idea:
1. Will want more...

As much as I hate to admit and agree with this.
Crow is absolutely Right.
I mean Ed Boon has always imagined this. He's wanted this for years...
I mean Marvel and Capcom did it. I'm sure what was going through Edwards head was: Hey, I think MARVEL Vs. Capcom is cool. Nobody has done anything with DC yet...Why not them?!?!"
I mean dude, it's just like Street Fighter.
Street Fighter is one kind of Like MK. It was by itself, a Fighting game different than other things. And then Super Heroes came along.
And it became a super hero Video game Along with Ryu and Ken and Chun li Etc.

It's now MK's Turn...
At first it was...A plain Kombat fighting game.
Now, it is going to have added Dc Universe fighting characters.

Just like what happened with Capcom SF.

It was first SF Vs. M

Now it is

MK Vs. DCU

Don't get me wrong, I still think it's a Terrible move.
But Ed Boon could at least make it just a game...And not MK8
I would like the game if he did that.
I'll give it a Chance, But if it's MK8 Like confirmed completely as MK8
I am not going to be happy.

Because Marvel Vs. capcom was just a Game. It was never to go along the Story. Just a game put out there for peoples entertainment.
So why not the same for MK?
Why not it just be out there for the same reason?
Instead of giving shitty news saying: It will be MK8"
Because...How will that work?
