Back on topic, I'm not sure how much stock I put into what we heard from that German convention, but it'd certainly be cool for Scorps to have a new look.

Back on topic, I think it's a great idea. The more diverse the costumes the better and I can imagine some bad ass plate armor for Scorpion.

Scorpion, from the first game, wore a yellow Lin Kuei outfit to mock Sub-Zero out of hatred for him, thinking at the time it was he who killed Scorpion's family and clan. The yellow color, which is not found in traditional Lin Kuei garb, signified the cowardice Scorpion believed Sub-Zero and his clan to possess. Since he found out that Quan Chi was his true killer, the need for him to have yellow in his outfit basically wore itself out. If his rumored new silver & black costume will allow him to still be identifiable as Scorpion, then all the better, I say.

P.S.: No, Scorpion isn't a holy knight now! ^_^

I still don't think Scorpion is a holy knight because he is serving the Elder Gods. I think the Elder Gods see the potential in Scorpion in his ninja skills and they think that Scorpion could get the job done.

Scorpion probably made a deal with the Elder Gods for his services. Scorpion would either want to see his family again, or still kill Quan Chi. I think this new twist in his story is very interesting and it may give Scorpion more fans.

I think the idea for the silver costume is pretty cool, exept for that fact that he would be wearing a knight's armor. I would rather have Scorpion wear an Asian style suit of armor rather than a European style.

I was wondering the same thing plus in his bio it says something about his visit to the elders' place.
Silver and black are awesome colors but they are Noob's.

The yellow colored outfit was changed to be traditional Shirai Ryu color.

MK1 - Yellow & Black, Opposed to Sub-Zero's Blue & Black.

MK2 - Same as MK1, Believing Sub-Zero to still be alive...

UMK3/MKT3 - I believe Scorpion was added because of his overwhelming fanbase due to his exclusion in MK3. He was made a color-swap of the color-swapped outworld ninjas. Though that costume makes sense since in UMK3 he was serving Shao Kahn, But in MKT he was a lone-wolf... Though still had the same costume.

MK4 - Sub-Zero returned in a twist of his MK1/MK2 uniform, And Scorpion returned in a twist of his UMK3 uniform, But was Yellow & Navy-Blue.

MK:DA - Armored, Gold & Black.

MK:D - Armored, Gold & Black.

Anyway, I believed Scorpion was going to be a Warrior of the Heavens since January (and took every chance i could to spread my belief and explain why... Looks like i may be right). But there's nothing "Evil" about Gold & Black in my opinion.

Though i have to say that for the last nearly 9 months, I had a mental image of Scorpion being Silver & Black with large, Broading, White Angelic wings on his back with his skull-head exposed (either with blue fire or without fire). and his fire powers would appear blue. Would anyone play as Scorpion of he looked like that, Possibly as a 3rd costume? Kind of a divine, Warrior-Angel of Death look going on.

I wouldn't say he's a ho;y knight. I think he's more like Spawn, an anti-hero.

Well we dont know much about him yet. But yes a warrior angel of death Scorpion, would be awesome, and I would definately play as him.

From the moment he was thrown into the Soulnado, I knew that Scorpion would become a "Holy Warrior" of some sort...

The "yellow costume to mock the Lin Kuei's cowardice" storyline has been canned a long time ago. The new story was that yellow and black were the traditional colors of the Shirai Ryu. Scorpion than changed his costume to gold and black to make himself look cooler.
But it's true that a European-style suit of armor would suck...However, an Asian-style suit of armor would kick major ass. Sorta like Glacier's armor...
