Actually, Smoke was officially confirmed months ago in an interview in Game Informer magazine. I just can't figure why no one took that GI issue seriously.

But nah, we won't be seeing Cyrax in the MKD. The question was pretty vague, asking simply if the cyborgs were returning. Boon would probably just have said they were all coming back instead of only mentioning Smoke and Sektor. Being the only cyborg who is no longer tied to Subzero, it doesn't seem likely that they'd revive him.

But all MKDA characters who aren't going to be in MKD will probably be ported to MKD, so you'll get to play as him at least.

Cyrax will be in Mortal Kombat:Deception, just he will be in a mode called Konquest. If he is part of "Every character in the MK Universe" then he will be there, just not playable.

Smoke and Sektor are the only old cyborgs returning. Sektor obviously is still a cyborg but Smoke is NOT a cyborg.

nice to come back to see two overly popular characters coming back while one of the most underrated barely has a chance, if any...

im still not impressed...not just with the B-/C Roster, but the whole game...Mortal Kombat has gotten rather stupid now...chess and a tetris type game for a fighting game doesnt appeal to me, its only a leg up in the genre at the fact that no other fighting series will focus on such a waste...tekken was ruined with volleyball and bowling, dead or alive just isnt good enough, street fighter died when it started the 'alpha' crap, virtua fighter was always subpar, so i guess it leaves Soul Calibur as the only game with guts to stick to its roots

Bo Rai Cho is back for comic relief in a supposed 'darker game', and pretty soon this series will end up with pointless 'big head' cheats...when a developer resorts to making the majority happy on every little detail, you know its starting to die...I love MK, but this doesnt even seem like MK...im sure it will be a great game, but it will never be the same...

I never liked Cyrax that much anyways ,I only ever use him in MK3/U3/T. The only things I liked about him was his Net and Teleport. Playwise ,he was basically Scorpion to me.

his net was really neat. I missed that in DA.

damn, my fav. Character (Cyrax) aint in it... yeah, he'll be in Konquest, and maybe even a secret playable character, but he wont have a story or a new look.

Hopefully they will at least tell us what happens to him.

Anyway, Id have to disagree with a lot of the things you said. I think the Tetris and Chess modes will only help give the game more replay value. I also think that Bo Rai Cho is obviously changed as we havent seen any of his comical styled moves yet. I doubt one character can take away the "dark mood" of one game.

And why in your opinion is Virtua Fighter "sub par"? I can agree with tekken but I dont understand why virtua fighter was in that category.

has anyone noticed that with seKtor and smoke back for sure, that the plot seemsto thicken around sub-zero aswell?

BACK ON TOPIC I for don't think Cyrax will be back he's had his Spot-light moment in MKDA, mayb he will be in an expansion of somesort

I like Cyrax better than Smoke and Sektor. I hope Cyrax returns with a new look and plot for Deception.

This Mortal Kombat has none of my favorite characters in it exept for Liu Kang. I don't like the idea of characters that are going to be imported from Deadly Alliance with no change to them at all.

If that is to happen I would rather them not be in the game at all, Boon has really listened to the fans on this one and I hope this game will knock all of the other fighter games out of the water. If this does not happen, I don't think he would listen to us and get ideas from us again.

Cyrax is likely to be in MKD for obvious reasons.

Cyrax sucked. His fighting styles were horrible, the pulse blade concept was cool but it had the same attacks as other weapons. His fatality was ok. But his story was horrible and went no where. They have a lot of good characters to choose from and they better not waste a spot for cyrax
