That is lame, if Midway wanted to show Raiden why would they only give us his story with his Deadly Alliance look?

I feel like this version of Raiden was imported from MK:DA into MK:D. I feel that there is no change to Raiden except for some minor features. Raiden no longer has a cape but that is all that I noticed.

Raiden must be a secret character if his look has not changed. I feel that some rumors may be true, mabey all of the MK:DA characters are returning in this game as secret characters?

RAiden probably appears at the opening sequence, RIGHT AFTER DA, and he uses all his powers, BOOM, he goes somewherre to be back in MK: Sectilogy!!! GrRrRrRrRrRr

It does strongly resemble his MKDA costume, although there are some suttle differences.

IF he is playable, I bet he will be EXTRA secret, like Mokap or Blaze. I doubt they would use a character slot to put a DA "cut and paste"

The other reason he looks the same is tha, as I said above, He is just part of the story, which was confirmed to be RIGHT AFTER DA

I agree with that. I don't think they are lazy enough to waste a space on a ported character. It would have to be some kind of unlockable thing.

Much as I hate to admit it, it looks as though Raiden isn't going to be playable. He's only on the wallpaper because he's important to the story, and you can be important to the story but not playable. Just look at Shang Tsung in MK1. He was important to the story (it all revolved around him, in fact), but was he playable? No. At the most, Raiden will be a secret character without a story, but even that is doubtful.

I've said it before and I'll say it again:

Raiden is dead.

I won't be surprise if they have other MKDA characters, since Raiden comes from MKDA looking the same maybe some others will come too. So who knows???

Can not infer anything from that picture. But it does mean he is involved somehow. We'll probably just have to wait until the game comes out.

Its been said that Sektor will have a new look. How they will manage this I dont know, but I guess now he is a boss of that group (cant remember the name) he will have been upgraded somewhat, and may even wear clothes over his "body" to signify he is different from other cyborgs.

Hmmm....They confirmed him at E3, they made a bio and walpaper. Yeah I think HE IS IN THE GAME. Read his bio again and then again and then again and maybe you will understand he is alive and he is a mortal.

Sorry, Mobster-For-SATAN, but I have to disagree. Read the bio again. It says he SACRIFICED himself, not his immortality. If you sacrifice yourself, you give up your life in an attempt to save other lives. Face it, Raiden is dead, and at the most, he'll be a secret fighter without a storyline or ending.

Raiden is in the game, whether you want to admit it or not. He has been confirmed twice, and Midway isn't stupid enough to make art with Raiden if he is dead and won't be in the game. Get a clue and use your brain. It's common sense. I think the way he looks is just fine, even if it is almost a port. I hated that cape, I hope they got rid of it for sure.

The "big" problem is that people deduce that if dies, Raiden doesn't appears in the game, and if is in the game, it's alive... but, and if Raiden dies and even so to appear in the game? And this is not a question...

I believe Raiden will be in Deception one way or another. I read his bio as well and if you watched Sindel and Mileenia's bio as well, Raiden videos are from DA and Sindel and Mileenia had shots from Deception. The only different look he has is that he no longer is wearing that cape. I believe that Raiden will play a huge role in Deception.

I also read is bio where it said he sacrificed himself to end the Dragon King's threat. It never said he died. I believe that he sacrificed his elder god status(powers) but not himself. Remember Raiden is elemental and a thunder god.

I dunno if anyone noticed, but....

....Raiden's hair is sticking out of his helmet or cloak or whatever it is. I guess that's the only thing different.

First of all, that cyborg is Sektor.

Second, even if Raiden did die in the blast, he will still be playable. All characters in MKDA who aren't returning will be playable via import models.

For that reason Liu Kang and Shao Kahn died in MKDA but they weren't selectionables, so that they didn't have the characters (or they didn't finish them on time). Raiden (like others) appears in MKDeception, but without ending, only "play by fun".
