Something made me think differently about Scorpion

Everyone knows and likes Scorpion's revenge for Quan Chi right?

Well, when you think about, Quan Chi massacred Scorpion family and clan, making him an evil person. Well, when Scorpion thought Sub-Zero did it, he went for revenge, then to turned it on Quan Chi.

So, my point is, Quan Chi is vile and so is Scorpion. Why, revenge has made him as low as Quan Chi, so really, he is a vile person. But still, Scorpion is my fave. I hope you understand what I'm trying to say.

Scorpion isn't truly evil, he is neutral, which means he don't give a fuck about anything except for getting revenge on who killed his family, so if anyone gets in his way, whether they are good or evil, he will take them out.

That's not my point. Do you think Scorpion's revenge is wrong? I know that QC killed his clan, but I mean feeling.

i dont think scorpions (i hate you) revenge is bad, he should kill quan chi, though scoprion would be lost forever since he revenged his family's and clan's death (yay)

i see your point, but wouldnt you want revenge if someone harmed your family...its not a matter of being evil...its simply protecting his family...in a way its honour too.
which husband and father would be able to forgive someone that killed them?
I dont blame him one bit for being as vengeful as he is.

I think Scorpions revenge story has a point, so, its good. But actually, Im very sick and bored with that!

His story has been the same since Mk1, “revenge his dead family”, I really hope they DO something different with his story in Mk6, not 100% focused on Quan Chi, but on something new that would make him evolve into a more interesting character.

I totally agree with you Queve... His storyline has been poor... I really liked Scorpion until UMK3/MKT... since then his story has been boring, and don't get mad at me when I say that I really hated him in MK:DA everything in him was just unbearable to my eyes... I hope he gets some sort of change for MK6 or just vanish like his MK:DA ending says...

while i still think scorpion is and will always be king of the MK realm, ur right latly his story has gotten alittle stale, although i loved his look in MK:DA

But you call it honor to kill someone for revenge. I see our point, but would you do it (the revenge question you had)? I mean, of course anyone would hate their guts, but that's kinda low. And sorry if I sound rude, I don't mean to if I am.

I understand where you're coming from IS. I personally agree with you for the most part. There should be some other way for Scorpion to get peace without "avenging" the deaths of his family. That could be a new twist, he could either:

1) Miss killing Quan Chi because Quan Chi dies or escapes by some other means.

2) Decide that his search for Quan Chi is not that path that feels the best, and thus begin a new quest to find peace.

well in the real world you could go to jail for revenge. However, in the virtual outworld or netherrealm world, nobody goes to jail for performing a fatality or killing someone for revenge, see what I mean.

Ever hear of the death penalty? To be honest, I don't agree with it for several reasons, at least in most circumstances, but Quan Chi killed Scorpions wife and child. He confessed, and obviously has no remorse. If somebody did that in reality, he would probably get the death penalty, and damn well deserve it. As sorcerer of unknown origin, Quan Chi falls under no legal jurisdiction anyone knows of. Therefore, I think anyone who tried to bring Quan Chi to trial would have a hard time, even if he cooperated. Scorpion wants JUSTICE, and its only possible enforcer is his hand.
