Maybe she could be a hidden character but I doubt that. This Bio is just a trading card. It's on the special editon Disk.

I'm hoping she'll be back. The bio allows you to assume that she would be. The same would go for Kitana thanks to her bio. We'll just have to wait and see.

Message to all of you that think that certain characters are definitely coming back: don't get your hopes up. You will only be really disappointed and possibly hate the game when you find out that they're not playable in the game.

Sonya has chances of returning as a secret character with her mkda model, although this is possible, it can also not happen.
As much as I want her in, I wouldnt mind if she rested this game, after all, she has been around forever ever since mk1.
And we know Mk7 is on the way....so, anything can happen.

if you read the bio from the guy that posted it on the top of this page, you'd see that it sounds like sonya is dead. add that to the fact that a number of mk warriors were apparently dead on the grounds of shang tsung's palace, and kung lao and kitana were defeated by shang tsung and quan chi, chances are she is more stiff than what I have right now in my skivvies

Actually after finding out that Kira has Sonya’s moves the possibility of the two actually being the same person is higher. Evidences I think Support my Theory are
Kira has Sonya’s moves- It made sense for Jarek to have Kano’s moves because they both were from the black dragon, but Kira sharing Sonya’s moves is unexplainable
Kira is a new recruit- I read in her bio that kabal just recruited her to his black dragon, so he could have easily been fooled by Sonya.
Kira has an Alternate Bio- I saw a pic of an alternate Bio for Kira, it could be Sonya’s
Kira looks a lot like Sonya- They both have some very uncanny resemblances in overall style and looks.
The only thing that goes against this theory is Sonya presence in Prison, but I was told The characters located in prison were random. So who knows!!!!!!

I really like your theory, I think its would be cool if Kira was actually a Special Forces agent(or Sonya in incogneato) undercover to exposed the Black Dragon, to me that would be a nice deception for her, I still don't like the fact she has Sonya moves, but also I like her, but an explanation of why she has Sonya's and Kano's moves would be nice, but now that I think about, the only other person other Kabal who knows Kano well(moves, attacks, etc.) would be Sonya, so maybe Sonya is posing as Kira(Mileena poses as Kitana and also the theme of this game is deception) to see what plans Kabal has.

considering the slew of superb female fighters mkd has to offer, i am confused why people even care about boring, ordinary sonya.

as i always say, the more ladies, the better. I'd rather have an extra female character than a male one.

Hello, if it wasn't for Sonya there wouldn't be a Jade, Kira, etc., I believe reason why some people don't like her is not because of her storyline, it because she kicks there ass in gameplay, because in the right hands(most CPU), she is one of hardest and cheapest of MK characters.
