Well, it IS Lui Kang. He could shred Shinnock and Shao Kahn, I really doubt he'll have trouble with a ninja he couldn't even defeat Quan Chi.

i think some of you are missing the point, liu kang a strong human gonna be stronger as a specter, scorpion arlready a strong specter, scorpion already showed his good side by not killing the second sub-zero, so maybe scorpion trains liu in the ways of a specter and liu comes back (like scorpion) to aveange his death.

No offense, but who are you kidding? based on the game, Liu Kang has always been a stronger combatant than Scorpion, save for MK 1, and MK DA, where he was absent.

As far as storylines go, Liu Kang has defeated Shao Kahn, Shang Tsung, Goro, Shinnok etc. He probably also beat Kintaro. Scorpion would be defeated.

Liu Kang would win according to the story lines, but Scorpion's telleport from the movie would make him invulnerable.


He doesn't even have to be there to kill Kang. All he has to do is spit his fire through a portal, that's all.


There are a lot of ways in which Scorpion would win fast and easily using the portals.

If Scorpion can do something that out of context in the game, then Liu Kang could probably turn into a dragon for the whole fight. Liu Kang, as a 10 foot tall, fire breathing dragon, would be the winner.

Liu Kang beat Shang tsung. But he didn't beat Kahn alone. The earth realm warriors involved in the invasion helped out. And Shinnok was beaten Rayden.

As much I I'd like Scorpion to win I don't think he will

meh, the fights will never end, their both specters tee hee.

I like to believe that Shinnok was beaten by both Liu Kang and Raiden....a two on one battle. Must've been quite a sight.

Scorpion fought Quan-Chi outside of the Netherealm according to Konquest. And Quan-Chi won.

In the end, Kitana kicked Quan-Chi's ass.

C'mon! Liu Kang's BITCH could beat Quan-Chi and Scorpion couldn't. Enough said!

Even though I'm not really a fan of either, I'd love to see Scorpion tune Liu Kang up but, meh in the end I guess it doesn't matter.

In terms of actual gameplay (in UMK & MKT) they were both great! I like Liu better but am not sure who would win. I would like to think Kang would defeat Scorpion, some strong dragon spirit or something.

You mean Scorpion doesn't stand a chance? Keep in mind he's in a mortal body. a Mortal body that is much weaker than Liu Kang's mortal body. He would keep getting defeated, again and again, and again.

I'm thinking that "ghost" and "zombie" are both his different fighting stances. If this were the case, it would be cool.
As a zombie he'd probably be like any other fighter, a physical being, and his moves and abilities would be limited to a normal fighter.
As a spirit, maybe he'd have the ability to teleport, or fly around (like Sindel in MK3-Trilogy)! And seeing that he's a spirit, maybe he'd be immune to certain moves like projectiles (like Jade)!!! Wow! Can you imagine how powerful he would be if this were the case!? I'm sure all Scorpion fans would be going "oh...crap...." by now!
Hehe....but I guess we'll just have to wait and see. This is just fantasy warfare. Anything can happen.

Ok, let's get a few things straight.

Liu Kang beat Shang Tsung and Goro alone in MK1.

In both MK2 and MK3, Earth Realm warriors TOGETHER beat Shao Kahn. No single force can defeat Shao Kahn except an Elder God perhaps.

Quan Chi beat MK4 and KILLED Shinnok.

In any case, Liu Kang and Scorpion would fight for hours, days but in the end Liu Kang would win cuz he is the better fighter not necessarily more powerful.

Nope. Liu Kang's still the master. If you look at all of Scorpion's MKDA special moves, they were all effective in 2D style. A simple sidestep and you could escape the moves.
