No... the demons in the Netherealm allowed him to return to claim revenge. He will keep returning, escaping the Netherealm, as a spectre, until his soul can finally rest which means he has two kill the one who murdered his family and clan- QUAN CHI. Question is, what if he doesnt kill Quan Chi and someone else does... is he stuck as a spectre, or will he return to the Netherealm with his revenge unclaimed? Well chances are when Quan Chi does infact die, he will return to the Netherealm, so perhaps Scorpion will always have a chance to claim vengence...

Scorpion isn't evil and not good. He's only out to claim his revenge and he will do anything to get it.

in mk1 scorpion kills sub zero and left

in mk2 liu kang defeats shao kahn and keeps his title
in mk2 scorpion sees that the subzero in the tournament is the brother of the one that killed and sees that this is a good person so he lefts again

in mk3 liu kang defeats again shao kahn.(with the help of sheeva i guess)
in mk3 scorpion is doing something i guess

in mk4 liu kang defeats shinnok and keeps the title
in mk4 scorpion defeats subzero and takes quan chi to the netherealm.

in mk5 liu kang is killed by shang tsung and quan chi
scorpion is defeated by moloch and drahmin.

and also lets wait to see if liu kang got news abilities

Scorpion -v- Lui Kang

-Personally I wished they would of left Liu Kang dead. He died.....move on. First it was Johnny Cage and now Lui Kang? Why bring him back? Cause he's won most of the tournaments? The hell w/Lui Kang. The only good thing that can come out of this, is that Lui Kang is not on any side and fights for himself or if he's under the control of the Dragon King cause of "possible" Shang Tsung's death and has taken over the lost souls.

-Anyway I would but my money on SCORPION. He draws his power from the netherworld and has awesome power. He didn't kill Sub Zero cause of Quan Chi intervening and telling him the truth. We don't fully know if he did kill Quan Chi yet or not. If not, why are the Oni not mention yet for MK:D? Liu Kang, we don't even know what kind of "form" he is. A ghost and a zombie. If I can recall Scorpion is not a ghost or a zombie so if that's the case Scorpion would win.

-Plus ScorpionBoon's fav.} -v- Liu Kangtournament champion}, that's just so hard to figure out.

If Scorpion is Boon's favourite, then how come our spear harnessing specter has never once won Mortal Kombat?

Liu and Kahn couldn't have fought in MK2 because Kahn is still around. Liu Kang has help in defeating Kahn during the Outworld invasion in MK3. everybody involved in the invasion defeat Kahn. And Shinnok is beaten by Raiden or betrayed by Chi. Liu Kang is still the MK champion from winning the first one. DooMbringer? You make a good point. Nut Supposing the Netherealm Demons decided to keep his soul in the Netherealm forever and Scorpion never accomplished his task, He'd surely die by suffering

Die? Hes already dead. It would be eternal suffering without death... the worst way to go. But, why would the demons all of a sudden after all this time of letting him travel in search for revenge decide to take away what they gave him... life as a spectre? I dont think they CAN take that away anymore, and if they could, I sure as hell bet Scorpion wont take it standing. But that wont happen... Scorpion will remain a spectre until his job is done or until hes satisfied. Thats his purpose now... Remember he thought he had his revenge when he killed Sub-Zero in MK1... when he magically returned in MKII (his brother) Scorpion once again came forth from the Netherealm as a spectre to finish the job. He will always be a spectre I think, even if he does indeed succeed in getting his revenge.

of course scorpion will win because scorpion can't die and even if kang kill's him he will just come back and kill kang so really i think nobody can kill scorpion

I know all that. I didn't say they were gonna transform him into something different. I meant that if they wanted to they could contain him in The Netherealm.

I thought that after Scorpion was killed the first time, he was sent to the Netherealm. His soul was full of so much anger that it refused to die and he broke out of the realm on his own, only to be enslaved by Tsung later on.

As for who would win, if memmory serves me correctly, we've never seen Scorpion's true power.In his endings we always see him using different techniques to kill his opponents. So I think that, although Scorpion can't control all the powers of hell, I think he can channel enough of them to destroy Lui Kang's spirit.

P.S.
As for Scorpion never winning Mortal Kombat, he never officialy entered it, he always interfered for revenge.

it would be funky if som1 else killed chi in the next game and scorp was about to but sum1 else did and he didnt get revenge so he went after the dude who killed quan chi cuz i really dont want scorp to leave or if he gets a different twist. all i really care about is him stayin and subby. i dont kno who would kill chi tho. as for liu i dont mind him bein bak but if he turned evil then i would like him

But liu will win. he is better.

Scorpion is not the most powerful, he is one, but he can be defeated by great warriors such as Sonya and even Tsung. Oh, and kung lao too.

Scorpion was killed by quan chi and sub-zero so.,..I dont see him as something really powerful.

No, it wudnt. Liu & Scorpion are Worlds apart in MK, their storylines are never intertwining and will never cross. Making this a fantasy "battle"

Anyway, Liu isnt in the same "spectre" mould as Scorpion. Midway wouldnt take the former MK champion and give him the same 'status' as another character ie Scorpion.

Daft idea in my opinion. So who would win? Depends which Kombatant I was controllin ...
