Actually this Noob-Smoke thing is pretty good and opens us to a new character; Saibot. Since the Saibot part has been dropped we could see in later installments who he was, and since Noob is a dark apparition that "bonds" (think Venom) with it's host to become an evil being. This is a very interesting story and better than having a grey Scorpion.

I like it.
At least I know there's one character that plays completely different to the rest of them in Deception (sort of what Drahmin was like to MKDA).

I know I'll have some fun fighting with them simply because it's a bit of a break to the way the other characters all (seemingly) seem to be fighting.

I'm actually willing to give the idea a chance, and then make up my mind about it.

for all the people who think this is a good i dea look at it from our perspective the ones who were looking foward to noob or smoke. lets say you hafd a favorite character in mk, and they havent been in the game for a while now just imagine it was a rumor that they will return in a new game and then it became a fact so you were excited to play with this character and then the mk f---ing team had to go and mess it up by joinning him/her with another character. do see where am coming from? well i cant the mk team for this they could never make a flawless game the closest was mk2, they always have to do somthing to kill the game for somebody. this has to be the worst f---ing idea they came up with it seems like the only people who are loving it was the people who didnt like noob saibot and smoke in the first place.

I would love too see something where Noob-Smoke's first costume is Noob Saibot & Smoke, the second is just Noob Saibot, and the third is just Smoke. If they have four costumes, maybe you just start off with Smoke inseatd of Noob Saibot.

I'm thinknig that Noob and Smoke will have three styles each, and there is a buttom that lets you tag team sort of thing.

i think they should make a poll for tthe fans here at the mk base and put it on the front page of this site so everyone could vote on if they like this situation or not wether they like smoke and noob saibot being tied down together or if they dislike it and want smoke and noob to be individual seprate players.if M4C reads this or any moderator this would be very good.

He could have, or his moves could have had similiar properties with Scorpions moves. Even if he and Noob were seperate fighters, they still have no stories, and it doesn't even tie in, like for example:

Smoke- Sub-Zero's best friend.....Anything else? Oh apparently not, in fact in Trilogy he was in there for the kicks. It explained clearly his human form was nothing but a memory. So they bring him back to his ninja version, how did he get back to his old self? His cyborg version claims to still have a soul, but this isn't Disney, so it would be highly irrelevant to even bring him back as a ninja. Which is why I'm hoping his newer look will be somewhat cyborgish so it still makes sense.

Noob- Worshipped Shinnok and to my understanding, that was it. In MKTE he was just an observer and defeated Goro. He had little relevance aswell to the whole MKT storyline other than him being an enigma.

Now by fusing them as a tag-team they can say Noob has "taken" over Smoke's body/soul/gummybears and now share a bond with eachother. So it gives them a story, and a very nice character. I mean, if you wnat a ninja Smoke, go play MKDA for GBA and get Scorps grey outfit, but just stop whining that Midway is the anti-Christ for bonding two storyline worthless characters and even thinking of BRINGING them back. They could have easily took down Noob-Smoke and put in Sheeva or Stryker. Be thankful, I know I am. :)

I mean Sheeva could have fitted with being Sindels guardian again, and Stryker could have been another "Defender" type. But since Midway listens they put in Smoke & Noob, but add in a REALLY innovative idea and some people make it look like it was the worst move ever. If you hate the character that much then don't play as him. And trust me I think Sheeva & stryker are the worst characters to ever cease to exist in MK, and was using them to show how thankful we should be.

I see what your saying. But everyone evolves which is one of my points. Look at ermac now........amazing. Its not about having a grey scorpion and playing another MK game if i want one. Smoke is now different and revamped in terms of looks. And trust me, everyones storyline can become awesome.

Storyline and such isnt even involved in this discussion. I'll definately be buying MKD, i'm still looking forward to playing it. I'm just not happy with what they did to Noob/Smoke, and all i'm doin is expressing it, thats all.

Sheeva is dead, she better stay dead too or I'll hate Midway forever. This was like Smokes last chance to have his own unique look and moves, but they tag him with one of the characters I HATE! I know whats coming, I'm gonna hate it either way. This tag team should be a feature rather than screwing over two characters with potential.

Noob Saibot ruled man! Sure his teleport throw was the most evil moves in Trilogy, but he was a character you chose if you got pissed off.

And Dark Noob I can see what you are getting at, yeah it would have been good to have Smoke seperate and unique, but I'm not gonna be too mad over it. Truth be told, I really liked Smoke(Human) in Trilogy, he seemed to be faster than Scorps, but what kept him from perfection was him not having Scorpions flying forward punch. Otherwise he would have been even better.
