I keep seeing people refer to stage fatalities and death traps as two different kinds of fatalities. Theyre not. Theyre just synonyms for each other right?

I guess so, only this time you can perform them at any time during a fight.

Technically, "stage fatalities" are performed at the end of the match, after the announcer says "Finish Him!!" Then you input a button combo like you would a normal fatality. Stage fatalities could be performed anywhere on the stage. Mortal Kombat 1-4 had stage fatalities.

"Death traps," from what I understand, can be performed at any time during the match and required one to maneuver the victim toward the "danger zone", outlined in red on the floor. Apparently it is executed by performing a juggle at that location. Mortal Kombat: Deception is the first MK to incorporate this type of fatality.

Anyhow, that's it. If I missed anything or if anything's incorrect, feel free to say so. This might be better explained in Scorpio's MKD FAQ. Hope this helps.

I suppose they are. The differences are when they can be performed. Stage Fatalities occur at the end of the match whilst death traps can ahppen during a round. It'll be great to see the different ways in which they are done. The actual Stage Fatalities may not seem as obvious now.

Maybe they are two seperate things. The stage fatalities could be more grand, more cinematic than the death traps.

I hope stage fatalities and death traps are different in the game. I hope its not where you can do a death trap and then the stage fatality is the exact same thing, they should be different.

Peace Out
