I think alot of the fighters from DA will be hidden chars.. as well as some texture swaps (most likely the ninja's) but I'm not completely sure..

I believe it'll be more characters. Shang, Raiden, Sonya, Quan, Mavado, Kung Lao, Drahmin and some others should be those characters. Others like Jade, Cyrax and Frost would be perfect to add onto that number too.

I don't know who's gonna be secret or not, but if you can unlock them as playable, they all better have fatalities.

Since Kitana is being held captive .. ala MK4 .. I'm hoping maybe after you finish with the character who rescues her, she will be unlocked.

I think that since Rain was specifically mentioned to be in Konquest mode, and it shouldn't have been a surprise, then I think he's probably one of the hidden characters too.

if you watched/read the fan interview with ed boon, you'll clearly see/hear a question asking about secret characters, and boon says there WILL be MORE than the 24 characters you see on the grid, they will be hidden away in konquest mode and you'll have to unlock them from there most likely

I COMPLETELY agree. I would rather have 24 solid characters with 2 or 3 hidden that have full stories and fatalities intact. I am not one of those people who wants 50 characters, but only 30 or so have stories and fatalities. If the hidden characters are playable let's hope they are complete characters. Sometimes more isn't always better. I am just so damn excited about this game coming out...I can't wait.

quan chi is a hidden character.(I think) I've seen him in a screenshot of chess kombat with him in it.
why would they put the model frame, the texture and moves for a character into the game and not let you unlock it.


I would like to see all characters from MK:DA back for this new game.

I don't care how many characters are secret. I just want them to be as good as the starting characters. They need a story and story involvement. They need their own fighting styles and special moves. They need their own Hari Kari and most of all Fatality!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, he knew about sindel and tanya, also about the so rumored raiden death-story and about Smoke before they even revealed any stuff.

He also said in another thread that Mavado might be in it. And revealed kitana is captured.
