Sub-Zero moves - Ice Shaker VS Ice Clone
like most everyone else has said, the ice clone is pretty useless if you play against a human or the CPU on anything above novice
although I liked the clone because it's old skool from MK3, it worked a lot better in 2D then in 3D (although you can still get some n00bs in it)
now with the ice-shaker, i could get damn near 75% combos with that thing

AS i said, subbie is a pro character, not some character u play on novice. The point is not for the opponent to walk into it, but to open avenues for attack because of the fact that the opponent DOES NOT wana walk into the clone. 75% damage with ice shaker?? Fine, but scorp is gonna be pulling off a combo on you more ofeten than not. ice shaker takes too long to set up and rarely hits. You cant jsut walk up to a person and use the move expectin to hit somethin. clone has its subtle uses in 3d. U cant hit a 75$ damage with sub in mk6, but on the occasion that an opponent is frozen, would you go for sub's 50+% combo or just a simple throw or kori unbreakable combo?? Sub is a hugely complex character to play and while i can understand that most people take clone to be an offensive weapon, it is really the avenues of attack that it opens that makes it shine, whether in 3d or not, while the one-faceted shaker can only do so much. if its blocked you are screwed. If you are too far you are screwed. That is a lot of ways to get screwed

50+% combo???
If Sub-Zero has a combo that powerful in MK: Deception, I'd really like to know how to do it. The highest I got with him was 42% damage from Kori Blade to Kori Blade with B + 2....B + 2....CS...1, 2, 4, CS, 2, CS
Btw, do you think that it's possible that the opponent can stop and block even if you do the Ice Clone and try to attack? If I were to try that, I'd probably stick with Shotokan.

I am always interested in teachin others bout subby.
combo is (kori) back+2, cs, 1,2, 1 2 4 cs 12 up+4, back front+4.
There are certain variarions of the combo which are easier to do and are with or without the cold shoulder. All deal 50 odd damage give or take. If u have any proms IM me.
I do not understand your question about the clone and your opponent blocking. IF you clone and attack of course the opponent can block. It is only when u stand on the clone and the opponent attacks that it acts as a free breaker. You must be adept at using kori to chip away the opponent's health before going into clone mode. you can IM me again if you have any queries. I could tell you why usage of the clone makes or breaks subby.

Not once, ever, has the AI player fallen for/hit even by accident the ice clone in all the time I've had MKD. Even on novice. Not once.
Not once, ever, has anyone fallen for/hit even by accident the ice clone in a two player game in all the time I've had MKD. Not once.
The ice clone in this game, is 100% useless.

Agree 100%!!!! Not even is it totally useless... it also fails like 1/2 the time u do it!!!! What's up with that??? U have to be like 2-3 steps away from the player for it to work... that sucks ass.... and then they teleport and kick you in the ass literally....
I'd take the clone. The ice shaker left you open for projectiles. At least the ice clone is quick and I find it usefull when playin against ppl who use Raiden, Kira, Kobra. Since they can do moves that propel em towards you or in the case of Kobra Behind you. Ice Clone all the way!!

I tried that combo I posted again and it seems that if I time my hits better after doing the two pop ups in Kori Blade, the combo does 44% damage instead of 42% damage.
Regarding your combo, I didn't quite understand it....Do you mean B + 2...CS...1, 2, 4, CS, 2, U + 4, Cold Shoulder. If so, well, I'm trying as best as I can, but I can't seem to get the Cold Shoulder in. The combo without the Cold Shoulder either does 40% damage or 42% damage.
