I'm not sure if I can do this, if I'm not allowed, I'm sorry I didn't know. But I figured that everyone can see the article, all I'm doing is talking about it.

1) Character classes in MK Chess: You give the chess characters a class, like Scorpion being a healer for example. I think this game is going to be a lot deeper than most people thought before.

2) 3 colors: Red, Yellow, Green. For Death traps, danger zones, and good items. But also there will be a meter at the bottom of the screen that lets you know when you're in danger of something, when you should block or when you can counterattack etc. Seems like a decent way for newbies to get a handle on the fighting system, while letting veterans hone their skills. Still, I hope it's an option that can be turned off.

3) Characters: 24 in all, as we know by now. 14 are selectable from the start, and there will be 8 new characters in the game. Obviously that doesn't equal 22, as some of the 14 starters will be new. Still, 8 out of 24 is a good number. I just hope the returning characters rock. So far so good! Also, characters have been modified for the most part, with some losing an old stance and gaining a new one, or having moves taken from stances and added new moves.

4) Six specials: Each character will have around six special moves. This seems like a good number. So at least now Kano (if he's in the game) won't have just the cannonball and the eye lazer as his only special moves. Again, six is a good number.

5) Position switch move: Ah, Tekken 4. The ability to grab your opponent and switch places with him. I hated it in Tekken 4 because the arenas were so cramped that you had to use and your opponent KNEW you had to use it. Hopefully with MK:D's bigger arenas, it can be more of a surprise move. Interesting addition though.

6) Yin Yang Arena: A background that alternates between good and evil. When it's good, gamespot described it as a VF4 style beach, with seagulls and sunlight (I'm not sure if they meant this figuratively, but it sounded literal they way they said it). Then it "flips" and becomes a much darker and sinister version of itself. The previously somewhat harmful drops and dangerzones etc become much more dangerous. It's a good idea, but a BEACH?? Unless it's Asian looking, like the environment in the first MK movie, a Beach would be lame. I don't want to see two ninjas fighting in the sunny Carribean for shits sake! Oh well, I'll wait to pass judgement.

So what do you guys think of these new developments??

I think you guys hyped vf and tekken so much, they relented into giving you what you want, as long as its a good arena, i got no beef.

I was kinda bummed about having just 24 characters, but now i think its not so bad. If each character has around 6 special moves, it should turn out to be very good fighting. I think the idea of the yin yang stage is a good concept. I wonder how they r gonna pull it off......

Yeah, I'm definitely curious to see how they'll pull off the yin yang arena. I don't know if it'll "flip" like the article said literally. I don't see how they could do that. Maybe the weather changes, and everything becomes more dark and ominous. Who knows.
