You might be able to get the game, but good luck finding a Wii within the next 8 days. That is if you plan on playing as soon as it drops.

I wonder what controllers we can use for tournaments, I'm hoping for the classic. That is most comfortable for me.

Speaking of that can u use the wii mote and nunchuck for ssbb,cuz thats all i have,if not i will need a classic controller.

Oh, and I missed the post, but definitely buy a gamecube controller or a classic controller next week before you get the game. Wiimote by itself or Wii Mote + Nunchuk have both been heavily criticized by competitive players. The way the buttons are structured make even simple tasks, like a short hopping, impossible in some cases and very difficult to execute in others.

Shell out the 15-20 and get a GC controller or classic. It will be worth it. Trust me. If I had to choose between the GC and classic I would pick the classic since it feels more like a PS2 controller and I know many of you are used to it. However, since it is wireless there is a chance it may be banned in tournaments. If it's popular enough, though, they will have to make an exception.

The general thing is wireless controlle posses the ability to interfere with other people's connections or simply not work if the reception is blocked off even for a second. Certainly you can see why this would be a problem when thousands of dollars are on the line. Also, moving from TV to TV while desyncing and syncing up your wiimotes will take a while. In an enviroment such as a tournament where they like to keep things moving quickly so the tournament can get done within an allotted time you can see how this could cause a problem too.

I have too classic controllers and my roomate has 4 GC controllers. I'm not used to the GC ones though, I like the classic better.

i'm waiting till mk8 to get a next gen system. i don't like the way Tekken plays so i don't need one right now, and i want em to work the bugs out for another gen or two for the PS3. . smash bros plays alright, but i dont have enough confidence in a 54 Mbps wi-fi connection to invest in a system for 1 game. while the wii controllers are cool, they are extremely ineffective via being wireless. And have the constant battery changing BS that I smoke far to much weed to bother with. The only thing that should be wireless is Guitar Hero.
Period.
