......its just a matter of finding them..............look in netherrealm you can see Shang Sung, and you can fight him, now why would they bother to make a character that u can fight, but u cant unlock? Doesnt make sense, he can be unlocked i'am sure of it. The same thing for Quan chi, in a quest in netherrealm, you can fight him as well, so again, he can be unlocked somehow. More over, when u play the puzzle game, a loading screen appears to load the game, theres different images it shows, one of them is hotaru(puzzle) fighting with scorpion(puzzle), same thing for ashra(puzzle), u can see her sometimes too, and that means that they can be unlocked for the puzzle game. Think about it, on every loading screen you see the things that u have encountered in the game, enviroments, situations, characters, those are the things you unlocked, and some that u didnt. You may think i'am crazy, but i think its true.

I also think its true, but do not believe that you have to make a thread about it.I mean no offense at all saying this, but there are already alot of threads about the exact same thing, and I think it may have been better to post it in one of them. This may turn into a flame war too, everything to do with super unlockables seem to now, well at least yesterday. For puzzle, the select screen probably flips over, cause there are more. For arcade, its one thing im hoping on,but not completely sure it is.
PS:Your avatar is already being used, you might want to change it.At least I think it still is.
Despite the fact that there's been a friggin topic about this x20plus, I'd like to point out the fact that the only people you could unlock (the locked characters at the beginning of the game) were not the ones you just fought in konquest, but the one's you fought AS when Shujinko learned their moves.
With that being said, I'm just pretty doubtful about any "super unlockables" as characters in the actual fighting game; 24 characters is a lot of characters, and when has a MK game ever had substantially more than that in one game? Not including Trilogy, cause that was just mainly a compilation of the first three and some bonus', which Deception clearly is not.
My guess is that the super unlockables might be those puzzle character's that you mentioned and maybe a few new stages.

I agree. Everybody says that Monster isn't playable, only somebody to fight in Konquest. But how come they made a model of him for use in puzzle fighter?? Answer that, there was a screenie of him posted. How could you use an Action Replay to get puzzle fighters that "don't exist!"? I think that Monster and Onaga are unlockable, at the least. I don't see why Boon would create puzzle fighter models of Monster and Onaga if you couldn't play as them. I really hope that Monster will be playable.
sadly i agree, if you've seen the kombat kodex each character is represented by a letter in the alphabet ,the three "mystery" letters are "D","K"and "M"aka Dragon king, liu kang and monster.so it seems we"ll get the worst super unlockables possible

Moster would make a really lame super unlockable. I mean all he is is scorpion with a different costume. When I first saw him I thought it was Scorpion wearing his alt... Would have made an awesome alt...

Moster? Who's that? Lol!!!! I think he would make a good SU because he could have cool fatalities and could be an alternative to non-Scorpion fans, you know , they might prefer his demonic look.
Yeah, that's weird. I've fought Quan Chi, Shang Tsung (hard as hell), Sonya, and Jax in Konquest mode but they're not unlockable. I know that Onaga is playable in Arcade and Puzzle Mode by use of GameShark 2 and Codebreaker. Maybe the rest of the characters are only playable with the cheat devices. Sektor's funny when you punch him in Konquest mode. He goes "ERROR! ERROR!"
By the way, what's the code for adding an image on your signature?

i remember shang tsung was hard as hell too lol
Speaking of Shang Tsung, has anyone ever beaten him yet? (Without using a cheat device, of course) Your life decreases while his life increases. Plus, he's like on hard mode or something. I gave up fighting with him after like 3 first matches cause I knew I wasn't going to be able to do it.
0
good question....lol......i havent been able to beat him, tried 11 times straight.......what do you get when u beat him anyway?

I tried like 30 times straight. I beat him though, with Li Mei.

You get koins.
As for characters like Shang Tsung, Jax, Quan Chi, and company who were in last game and who you can fight in Konquest mode - this doesn't mean they are unlockable. MK:D uses the same engine as MK:DA. It doesn't take much work to transfer these characters from one game to the next. As you can see, every one of those characters are mirror images of their counterparts in MK:DA. And don't forget that the use the same fighting techninques as they did in that game. Fighting techniques that new characters have in this game. For example:
--Havik uses Snake and Sung so Do (or whatever it's called. He is a hybrid of Shang Tsung, who used snake, and Quan Chi who used the other style).
--Shujinko uses Mantis and Shaolin Fist - which were Kung Lao's moves.
--Kira uses Sonya/Kano's moveset and even shares Kano's weapon.
When you fight Shang Tsung, Quan Chi, Jax, Johnny Cage, Kung Lao, and Sonya in this game - they are just sharing move sets from characters already in the game (and their former movesets). NOTICE how they never use special moves? That's because they don't have any. The characters are not unlockable. If they were it would be pretty sad having 8 characters with the same exact moves as 8 already in the game. Think about it.

ONAGA is playable because he has a storyboard in thekrypt, not the DK ending 1 and 2 i am talking bout a storyboard everybody in the game with an ending of course has the storyboard which actually shows a pencil drawing of there endings.
And when u use codebreaker and u beat the game with ONAGA his ending pops up so he is definitly playable but i really dont think any SU are playable and if they are like sektor he wouls look like a red smoke have smokes teleport uppercut have his missles still but no fatality no look original and all the supers in everygame were generic MK2 look at jade smoke and noob spear, spear and kitanas fan. blaze and mokap 3 fighting styles from MKDA game already.
It really doesnt matter, i mis sektor especially when we heard what his story was pose to be and he was pose to feud with subzero instead of baraka who was pose to feud with scorpion cause he was quan chi's bodyguard. That would have also made subzeros ending way better fighting sektor instead of that stupid ending he got. Sektor seem like he will actually be a badass in the series now, i miss Quan chi i could probably beat the game on max without dying if i had him in the game and in the future they better not take away Quans fighting styles and give them to dairou and Havik i would soo mad.

have you seen quan chi, johnny cage, jax, or shang tsung use a special move? NO. That is proof enough that they aren't unlockable.

There is no obvious answer one way or the other. Baring mind reading which I don't think anyone here can do.
Porting the characters from MKDA would more or less be as easy as copying them over for the most part. If they are infact NOT unlockable and were soly included in the Konquest for one match each that says volumes about how easy it was for them to toss them in. So the question isn't would it be too hard or worth the effort. They could easily do it. They could even have tossed in all the old MK:DA stages to boot. If they wanted.
The question is why wouldn't they do it? Its quick, its easy, it adds more stuff that people want to the game. Ah but there we have the answer. Its what people want. They could toss in everything and everyone from the last game. Reusing that stuff is easy enough, but then who would spend the 20$ on MKDA if they lost thier copy or perhaps never bought one in the first place? Would they be able to live up to the new standard in the next game? Would people buy a new game if all the characters they loved were already in this game? Companys will control the amount of good things they give you. They want you to be happy with spending money on a product repeatedly. Just happy enough to buy, and craving just enough to want more..
Lets take a look a Frost. Frost was one of thier most popular new characters ever. Seams like everyone loved her. I know I did. So what did they do with the new queen of popularity? they killed her off, and were given the return of Bo' fats So' a character almost as unaversaly hated.Making it appear like MKDA very well may be the only game that will ever have Frost in it. Better own MKDA if you want Frost.
Could thier be SUs? Sure, Maybe. Are they any good. Maybe, maybe Mokap. There could just as easly be none to have. But anyone that says they know one way or the other is just trying to sound smart. Like they have it all figured out. Nobody can untill we get the final word from the lips of Midway,

thats rather harsh considering all the evidence. More evidence. When u fight raiden to unlock him, he is wearing a different outfit. When u get him, and unlock his alt costume, u still dont have the one he had when he was fighting you, which means its unlockable. Also in the krypt, sometimes you can see Quan chi run around the graves, and Shang tsung as well. So, well, i dont know, but i'll laught my ass off at everyone who didnt believe when someone actually figures it out.

That means nothing. All raiden in the konquest means is the costume exist. Its unlockablility is has nothing to do with it. In the konquest radien must apear as the old Raiden because its dated before he changes. I'm not say you cant use it just that it means nothing except that the potental is there.
As far as the Krypt thing goes. Everyone is in the Krypt. Its the knquest models. I even think I've seen Mokap dashing about. Again that means nothing. I'm not hating its just the truth. It ain't proof.
I don't know about SU but I would be willing to bet that there has to be at least 1 hidden character you can fight.
Think about it this way...
Every Mortal Kombat has had at least 1 hidden character you could fight for the most part. So I'd be willing to bet that there has to be a hidden character to at least fight some where some how. Least I really hope there is.
Also when MK1 for Gameboy came out it was like almost 2 years after it was out before anyone figured out how to play as Goro in it. Not even to mention how long it was for the Ultimate Kombat code for UMK3 came out.
Even as thrown together as MK:DA was it had Blaze and Mokap.
Just my personall two cents on the subject.
I've been an MK fan since the beginning, and so far I think this has been one of the best MK's to date with few exceptions.

i have also been a dedicated fan of mk since mk1 and i definitely agree that this is one of the best mk's. the arenas are awesome. I love the living forest and dead pool as they bring back great memories of arcade mk2.
the multi-tiered arenas, they are all great
i've also said before that there has been at LEAST 1 cool secret in every game, this one will not break the tradition. somewhere there is something cool hidden that someone will find. maybe a super-unlockable or two, maybe a hidden character to fight. there is something i have no doubt...it's just a matter of time, patience, and luck :)
