If you don't know what I'm talking about, try out Tao Feng, you could litterly break peoples arms and legs, and such, if you pounded on them enough.

I heard Tao Feng got really bad reviews, but does anyone else think that it could be a try out ( the skeletal system and the ability to break bones and more ) for MK6?

Don't you think it'd be amazing if when your playing Scorpion you could aim the spear at a certian body part, pull on it a few times and then eventually it'd break, or pull off?

Maybe as Sub-Zero, you freeze a certian body part enough times that the bones become atrophied, hence rendering them completely useless in kombat.

Thoughts?

I suggest that the 3D engine this time around is not so rigid as mkda. Kinda like mk4 is very rigid to a more superior mk5. There must be more fluidity in the way characters move up down left right and circular motion (360 degrees motion.) Its probably difficult to pull off, but it will be awesome if it were true.

I think it over-complicates the heart and speed of the game by adding limb damage.

If the game were setup on a basis where limbs are heavily focused (ala Tekken), then maybe I could see it.
MK4's Joint locks were one thing, and sure, it might add that extra bit of carnage to MK to be able to snap arms and legs and to affect gameplay that way, but I seriously don't think it would mix well.

That's a style that was brought to Tao Feng, so I wouldn't want to see it put into MK becuase it was already done. It would just be copying the competition IMO.

you make a good point Jerrod. If you could break or maim limbs, that would copy the idea for Tao Feng and Time Killer(for the limb maiming).

Though i would like to see(if there is a squel for Tao Feng) a better 8 way run system. I don't know if anyone else had this problem, but every time i tried to side step to a pole, my character would jump for example.

Yea, sidestepping in Tao Feng is a bitch, you can't do it smoothly like in MKDA unless you enable "free movement" for the left thumbstick but that's too damn slow.

I don't think MK should go copying other games that blatantly. It would be cool if characters got physically damaged in correspondance with where and how they were actually hit. But that in and of itself shouldn't effect the game; although maybe there could be a meter that would go down quicker than the standard energy bar, and the further it went down, the less damage the player could do until it replenished itself (it would take about 15 seconds to go from empty to full, assuming no hits are taken).
