I believe its Raiden, but ive seen spelled both ways......

It was Rayden. It's Raiden now. Guess it doesn't make any real difference. Personally, I spell it Rayden.

Its Raiden, but I like RAYDEN much better. It was like that since Mk1 arcades, and IMO, it looks cooler.

Raiden/Rayden is my all time favorite. Honorable mention goes to Scorpion, Sub-zero, and now Sonya Blade. Note: Only in MKDA did I start liking Sonya's fighting styles. Her Tae Kwon Do smile really kicks.

have not had the pleasure of playing as noob, ermac, sheena, and most of the characters in MK4. Therefore i am basing my decions on MKI, II, III and V (no ultimate, gold, or trilogy)

My decions are based on games they appear and not the fighters neccessarily on a whole...

1) Scorpion (from every game)
2) Sub-Zero (not so much in DA but in MK1-3!!)
3) Kung Lao (from every game)
4) Kabal (from MK3)
5) tie: Cyrax and Sektor (MK3)
6) Kano (mostly from DA)
7) Baraka (only from MKII)
8) Reptile (MKII)
