To be honest, I don't think the character textures in MKDA were that good. The characters' faces could've been a lot more realistic looking, for instance...

Maybe a simple upgrade wouldnt hurt. Im sure the graphics will be improved anyway.

No I think the texturing is good as it is now. Don't change to much.

You also have to take into account that the hardware is also a bit "limited" extra texturing could for instance slow down the game.

most likely, they will keep the texturing, but jus improve it a little.

Actually, I too thought that the texturing in Deadly Alliance was'nt up to par. In my opinion, they could use an upgrade.

Actually, it can get better. If you've played Tekken Tag Team...the texturing in MK has'nt even reached that level, yet.

They could squeeze so much more performance out of the PS2 and Xbox than they did in MKDA.

i think that you probably could do better with the same limits of texture resolution, number of polygons etc (not that i'm saying the models in mk are bad)- i think mk should go back to it's super photorealistic look of old.

Anyone have any idea what the polycount/ texture size is in current generation fighting games? I want to know because i'm going to have a bash at making my own head in milkshape 3d (going to borrow a digital camera and use it to get textures)- i'd like to see how good i could get it within the same limits the pros use.

I thought that the texturing was on par in MK:DA, they should focus on the background special effects.

I was pleased with the textures of MKDA, and by the looks of MKD, it will get better.
