in the gametrailers thing it mentions huge fights with more than two players on screen.

Possibly something like Marvel Nemesis where you fought bosses in story mode, along with goons. Maybe that, or TAG-TEAM online will be added. Would be nice heh.

Either A. it's just a bunch of other people in the background fighting
or B: he's just saying shit to sound cool

i got the impression he was talking about the end cinematic for story mode
Well, I honestly hope its NOT what I thought it sounded like.
It sounded like every character was going to have the same generic ending as a huge battle movie.
It sounds cool, but ONLY for the big finale in the story mode part of the game, and its also cool as long as they don’t just focus on Sub-Zero and Scorpion doing everything *rolls eyes*.
But it’s very lame if ALL characters share the same ending, meaning they don’t get any sort of unique/special ending pics or movies like in ever MK Game.
I hope everyone gets their own movie/pic finale that ties with other characters, like it has always been done.

It said that the storyline would be changing characters as you went, so basically yeah this is how it would work. I doubt characters will have unique endings unless there is a form of Arcade mode in the game.
I don't see how you wouldn't expect this from the way they described it honestlyy.

Because its very disappointing I guess.
And I suppose they will have an Arcade Mode in the game, all fighters have one regardless of them having a story-mode or not...am I correct?
Individual and special endings (pictures please, never again do we want the horrible Katas, but we would all obviously prefer fmvs or movies) for each character is what gives them depth (despite the story not being canon) and uniqueness.

That really doesn't make it any less obvious. And they said it'd be different from the MK side than the DC side. A little bit better than a single ending.
As long as the Arcade leads to some big boss fight I wouldn't doubt each character had a unique ending. It'd be pointless but it'd still be there.

A single big cinematic is not exactly better then individual endings if they do what they always tend to do, and that is (and Im assuming they might do this for this game of course, and I hope Im very wrong) give the camera time only to Scorpion, Sub-Zero and Rayden (and probably Superman and Batman for the DC side.)
And how is it exactly pointless to have unique endings?
That doesn’t make any sense considering they are building a storyline for the game, despite such storyline not being part of the canon story of MK.
It is still part of this game.
If unique character endings are pointless, then a cinematic ending isn’t much needed at all, unless the only thing you would like to see is a big (like the MKA intro) but pointless fight.
And that would suck.

Technically it'd be two big cinematic sequences. And I didn't say it'd be better than unique endings, I meant it would be better than one ending being the same for each side.
It would be pointless because if the story mode was able to settle everything there'd be no reason for them to have seperate endings.

Long Live Johnny Cage!!

It will be a nice long video of Sgt. Rock and Easy Co. taking control and
wiping out everyone as they always do. Man that would be awesome baby.
Or just Johnny Cage kicking ass and looking cool as always. Now thats
groovie right there. Oh yeah.

Cool. I misunderstood that part.
I though you said one (or 2) was better then individual endings.
It would be pointless because if the story mode was able to settle everything there'd be no reason for them to have seperate endings.
Are there really high hopes for the story mode to settle and explain everything in fair detail with all characters?
If that’s supposed to be 100% correct, I expect the 20 (or whatever number) characters to be heavily involved with their roles and independent agenda established. Not just some random events like having them suddenly be there like MKD’s Konquest and have 2 or 3 chosen characters to guide you through every single event.
If they aren’t going to give an equal fair light to all characters story-wise, unique endings are more then a must.

I'd rather Johnny not make it in. We need more villains.
