I've just finished reading the whole transcript, and I was sooooooooooo disappointed, those guys from mk staff were acting like little kids and they're toying with you guys, when you asked them if there are any SU's some of them said yes some no some maybe some ???, I mean wtf was that?

they like to trick us a lot, they like to laugh they're asses out on us...and some questions were just too dumb, half of the questions should be about secrets, they could've slipped in some of them but no... just one question is enough, guess what? we still know squat...about everything

I don't know what to believe. There is NO MORE unlockables, or there is? Damn, the chat barely help us on this. Questions are so damn vague and we are still back at square one. I guess I have to lean towards NO MORE unlockables now, which really sucks!

I thought it was great reading the transcript (I missed it due to the whole timezone thing), very entertaining.
Yeah the questions wern't so great, and neither were the answers, but like Boon said; the truth, or a good story?
I think the general conclusion is that there are little, if any, "SU's", but It's nice to know that there is always a slight chance that 3 years down the track somebody might stumble upon a hidden arena or something. Would you have really preferred to have Boon and co say "These things aren't in the game, you can't unlock them", then be out in 10 minutes?
What would be the fun in that?
All that would lead to is a forum full of idiots pissed off that the idea's and theory's they had didn't make it into the game.
Looking at it from another perspective, what if they had said "Yes you can unlock these things, here's how:..", would that be fun? Anybody who can honestly say that's way things should be done in the MK world, doesn't know MK at all. What would be the point of adding all that super hidden shit to a game, then telling everybody how to unlock it a few weeks later? (I'll say this again in a few seconds to reiterate).

Why is everybody bitching about them not answering questions? They answerd plenty. The only questions they avoided were to do with either things they didn't know about (future games etc) and the super unlockable thing, which to me came accross as if there wern't any, and even if there was, what would be the point of throwing it all in there nice and secret like, only to tell everybody how to obtain these things?

You are MISSING the point, we are NOT asking them to directly reveal to us about SUs, just a YES there is, and a few hints would do... NOT "here is how you unlock them"... type of answers.

Not that Yes, No, Maybe, Hmmmm crap. with "POV 120 people POV 120" without telling people, this is a hint to unlock something, or it's unrelated to the secret unlocking.

Also, I think as soon as Ed Boon talked about the POV 120 thing, one of the Mods of MKO should have immediately asked "Is this a hint, Ed?", but they did NOT ask. Now we are stuck at frigging guessing game again. We don't even know it's worth it to further analyze the POV 120 thing, or let it die! Cuz, what that refers to, is really the puzzle here. A hint? Or a totally unrelated comment?

If fight night has a purpose, it isn't for them to tell you what you want to hear, it's for them to reveal to the fans what they want to about the questions that fans want answered the most, and they did just that.
Most of the things said were clearly jokes, which i'm guessing is why they wern't followed up. Afterall, they WERE in the same room, right? So it'd be pretty clear what was a joke and what wasn't, i'd imagine.

No, just a sense of humour, or the ability to sense humour within text. I found it quite funny actually, the way the were stirring up shit on purpose, because they just knew this would all happen.
How do you KNOW for sure that was really Boon, or Vogel, or whoever else? You don't know, but you know. Yes, it IS common sense. Look at it from a serious perspective, then look at it again, from the perspective of somebody who is well known for clowning around with things like this. It makes perfect sense to me that those guys blurting out words and numbers out of the blue to stir up a reaction amongst a fanbase well known for acting completely crazy over things like this would be the the most likely scenario.

They have proved time and time again that they don't answer to their fans. People are still unsure of the official word on some rumours from past games, 5 years ago or whatever, because nobody will confirm or deny anything. You think they'll cough up everything for a game they only just released? They don't owe you anything.

I think it sucked big time. I expected more of it. And to believe I skipped sleep for that. Damn, nothing answered, stupid questions and stupid answers. Answers you just can suck out of your thumbs. And I expected some more orginasation from a development team. They contradicted each other several times. I'm actually wondering if that was the MK-team.

This was my first Fight Night, and I'm sure, it will be my last. Damn, missed some pretty good dreams for that.

Well, if the chat was better, I would be in a position to understand if this is just leftover code unfinished (And WHY they left codes like this in anyway without deleting them?), or there is ways to fight these characters somehow?

No, it's not me who miss the point, because I FULLY agree that other type of questions should be asked, but still the MAIN question on everyone's minds is about this, what else is in this game. DON'T DENY IT!

I'm grateful for the whole thing to the MKOnline admin but i felt that's where their input should've ended, a select number of us forum users should've done it, would've been more down to business then the friendly get-to-gether that was last night.
If it was really for us fans I would've like to see more proof on it.

The only person I felt was being cool about the whole thing was John Vogel.

Ed telling him to "make something up" on one of the questions was really disrespectful to us.

The MK team were messing with our minds, disrespectfully in a way, like you said.

They were asked TWO times about SUs, and BOTH times, they failed to answer CLEARLY.

In the first time, Ed Boon dodged the question slightly, and worded in a way that led me to believe, there are OTHER ways, or OTHER SUs are are not characters.

The second time, the question was ok I guess, but the answers do NOT agree with each other. One said No, Ed Boon said YES...

Clearly, they are messing with our minds, and I did NOT appreciate that.

It's not because I don't have a sense of humor, but because after weeks of secret hunting, I am getting tired of this BS. I REALLY like to know, but I am afraid that they will always mess with our minds, the absolute answer to SU will NEVER come...

I personally think everything was summed by the way the MK team handled it. They just played around because they didn't want to deny anything that the fans had thought up, and let everybody down, and they are well within their rights to do so if they choose to. That's my point of veiw - nothing special left to unlock. That's all. That isn't what we were talking about though. I understand everybody is pissed off because they don't have answers, but that's the way it is, and that's the way it's always been, at least for quite a few months after a game's release. You weren't given answers, you were given possibilities (just look at the 'Kano transformation' counter thing), and now all of a sudden everybody is getting all pissy because they can't get their answers right now? Whats the use of sobbing? Why can't people be happy to have some of those other things cleared up? Who said "everything is going to be cleared up after fight night because the team will tell you all how to unlock a bunch of extra characters"? Nobody. It was all assumed by the people of these forums, and now their wishes didn't come true so they're taking it out on the staff and moderaters.

My bottom line; Midway has never given the public concrete answers so quickly before (which is what gives the game it's mysterious history) so what makes you think they owe it to you now?

So thats why it was called Deception, Deception on everything to do with the game, why did Boon say about "more characters on the select screen", and "super unlockables"? because it was all to do with publicity and money, the more you tell *ahem or shyould i say* lie to people about whats going to be in the game then the more chance you have of getting there money.

How dare they lie to us about whats going to be in the game when it clearly isn't just so we buy the game and aniticapte it's release more. I'm getting sick of this MK saga now, they just can't seem to please people nore me with the franchise.

If you ask me MKD was nothing but an MKGold version of MKDA to get revenue. I say end it hear while your ahead devs, oh and personally I think Shaolin Monks looks like dumb with borrowed models from MKD Konquest Mode.
I completed Konquest and Arcade mode with all characters and like MKDA i'm now bored with the game no matter how many mini games you stick in, I loved MK from MK1 to present but why are they starting to bore me?! -(

Look at the MK:DA krypt for example, Boon intended for wall attacks to be added, they didn't make the cut just like Dairou didn't then either.

When a band makes a new record, they'll add and drop riffs and chords here and there and such. It's just how it is. He thought that's how it would be at the time, and it wasn't. He very well could have set out to lie to the public on purpose, but all conspiracy theory's aside, what are the chances of that? Really? And if he was really going to do that, don't you think he would have done it on a larger scale than just a couple of "super unlockables"? If I set out to do that, I would have just given new skins to MK:DA characters, added 3 new arenas, then tell people it was a different game featuring hundreds of new moves and "kombat zones". Wouldn't that be more logical if that was his angle?

By the way, MK is starting to bore me too. Repitition may be the mortar of the mind, but now i've built a stone wall where my passion for the series once stood.

I thought fight night was good personally! There were good questions in there and then there were tehstupid questions about the WQ and the left over objects, because let's face it, despite teh fact they answered the questions people are still going to bang on about it!
I thought the questions and answers were good, i liked the way they joked around, i felt it was funny because it was aimed at the more histerical of the fans, who let's face it are in a hgue amount of denial and are mostly the people whoa re shouting and swearing about how their specific question wasn't asked about one thing that is only going to be a glitch!
I thoguht the answers they gave were clear and fair and i believe the jokes they made were obvious and amusing! Everyone knew there weren't going to be any instructions on stuff, just hints, the game isn't even out in europe yet!

Though it was good, i enjoyed watching it! hat's off to them for actually bothering, which is more than a lot of people on these forums deserve aparently!

The WQ and the left over objects are NOT stupid questions, those are Often speculated threads and I am glad it was asked, and I accept that they are likely just insignifiant things, now. Though what that comment about without purpose... is kind of odd.

Well, speaking on behalf for the SU lookers, we don't want this to become a war, or divided, but it looks like it has.

I appreciate the fact that the chat is organized, at all, and that the game is a Great game, no doubt. Though let's face it, a lot of us noticed that the answers are NOT clear. You think it was clear? Can't agree to that!

It's deception. This is the deceptive part of mk. Ed Boon decieves us by not giving straight answers. I was more than dissapointed, but some people have to give the crew a break, they've been running themselves into the ground for 2 years to give people like us enjoyment.

Sorry, that actually wasn't directed at you, but more at everybody on this forum in general, which is really who i'm trying to address here (I got a little lost in what I was trying to say).
I still stand by it though.
In past MK games, you wern't told that some of those secrets even exsisted at all. Now we have a rumour of one (or two or however many people claim there is) that they neither confirm nor deny, and most still aren't happy (including you of course). This is more than we had for some of the past games, so why now is it unacceptable all of a sudden?

Besides, the 'hints' given are just as meaningless now as hints from past games were when they were first heard of or discovered. If you believe these to be genuine hints, then research them. Do you think anybody had any clue what the hell was ment by "look to la luna" in MK? Well yes, but they would have been very few within the first couple of days of discovering it.

I accpet that you want only hints as to what to do, where to go etc, but you have multiple potential hints right there. You even have the words from Boon's mouth. Both of these things could mean nothing at all (which is what I believe), or they could both be part of the answer, it's up to you. You could potentially have the answer in front of you, and you're still saying give me more.

At first I wanted to stay out of this thread, but after reading it, i'm so ashamed to associated with the people who downright blamed the mods (with the exception of the first poster, fair, valid comments). If I remember correctly, the mod even asked the "SU" question again at the end. Clearly the MK team did not want to fully reveal the status on "SUs" at this time, so deal with it. Mods, great job, and I know for a fact, that more than 98% of people here couldn't have done a better job.

See that's MY point - All I want is some hints, NOT concret answers, but they CAN'T even do that! They just vaguely said there maybe more SUs (Who the hell didn't already guess this?) and says something at the end that nobody knows if it's a hint or BS talk.

Anyway, I think I am going in circles with you, so this is my final talk with you on this, You can either acknowledge it's the truth that MK team answered hints poorly.

Well the downer was seeing most of the responses and watching the chat go on. Granted, you guys can't be held responsible for what the team decides to answer with, but honestly, for an even that's been being prepaired for so long, it wasn't pretty. It did feel half-assed and it did feel thrown together like "everyone just show up here and...well ask questions and...you answer em...and...stuff." Maybe the dissapointment was due to the vibe the Mk team gave off. They probably didn't wanna even be there, who knows. The point being, I expected the usual circle jerk around answers from the MK team, I mean that's how it always is, nothing definitive. But I also think a bit more effort could have gone into pressing on more pertinant questions and not just filtering through this many questions in this amount of time. I mean no sooner had a question been stated, then was it succesfully dodged and passed.

A letdown? yeah, just being honest.
