Anyway, I think I am going in circles with you, so this is my final talk with you on this, You can either acknowledge it's the truth that MK team answered hints poorly.
Or, we can agree to disagree about this.
I know you don't think there are any more SUs, but see my point is also that they could at least be honest ... "No more SUs" instead of "Yes, No, Maybe, perhaps" would definitely helped me get over this really quick!

You're right this is really going nowhere.
I'm still of the belief that their answers to the questions were fair.
And yes, I can see what you're saying, I understand where you're coming from, and were this concerning any other game I would agree and expect a straight answer and say something like the answer they gave toward the 'SU' question would be childish, but this isn't any other game. MK is notorious for this sort of thing, it just has to be accepted to some degree.
(Also as I stated earlier, I personally think they sort of did give an answer, but you had to read between the lines of the sarcasm and jokes to see it. If these things really were in the game, I doubt they'd have said what they said)
And with that, I say goodnight. I haven't slept properly in days.

I think one of the problems is the idea of "fightnight" to begin with. I would must rather see an interview, with one mod asking questions to various team members via email that had been previously chosen and approved by the forum. Techinical issues arrise in chat that cannot be helped at this level of participation and the joking and bs factor would go way down if it was just a 1 on 1 interview with well thought out questions...
That said, any chance you can get an email with one of the team member at least to verify that ed was being a **** at the end and everything he said was just to lead people on?

To the MKO team: Guys, I know you don't owe us anything, and it's cool that you're willing to do all of this on your own time and for free, but if you care at all about professionalism and improving your image then you need to change the way you organize these events (not to mention how you handle negative feedback). So yeah, if you don't care about professionalism and public perception, then ignore the rest of this post.
Instead of thinking "okay, here is a problem, now how can we solve it?" it appears you guys went the reverse route and just jumped at the opportunity to talk to the MK team, never establishing any kind of problem statement. Consequently, there was no actual goal in mind and Fight Night lacked direction, leaving people to wonder why this event was even planned in the first place. As it stands, Fight Night seemed like someone just thought it'd be a cool idea to have a live chat with the MK team. The MK team agreed, a date was set, and then everyone kind of just sat on their hands until that day.
Anyway, had there not been any burning issues, a fluff interview wouldn't be so bad (with regard to public interest, anyway). As it so happens, however, your timing couldn't be worse since there is an obvious burning issue, and all the fans who had their hopes up were severely let down. To top it off, fans felt insulted by the MK team's teasing. Considering the fact that you guys weren't willing to at least play a little hardball with the MK team when they sidestepped the important questions, you should have expected the backlash. It really seems like Fight Night did more harm than good.

The questions were definitly fair. I just got annoyed at the joking around that was going on. I think fans went in to this for answers and the MK Staff came across as a big joke.
Don;t get me wrong, this is just a game after all, but after the first two questions, the joking around just was not funny anymore.
I don't think they realize that some of their fan base has grown up and been playing MK since MK I. I am guity of that.
I was not there for it live and just read the transcript this morning. It seemed to be very short. Was it a full hour?
We appreciate them taking their time to do something like this, just it was just a mish mash of answers. People were already frustrated not knowing what was true or not in the game. Non-Answers made it even more frustrating.
So I think they do owe us straight answers for those that got a yes/no/maybe. We don;t need anymore "Final Secret" Scandals.
That was a great post, Spiffy Dude.
Everyone is so emotional over this because of how frustrating it was. We were all sitting just watching what was nothing more than the MK team and the MKO staff goofing around. No matter how much time and work you put into it that's what it ended up being.
And the joking around from the MK team is not the MKO staff's fault, but was it ever obnoxious! I usually find those guys to be pretty funny but this was literally just a hour of them doing nothing but screwing around. Sitting there watching a group of friends tell in jokes while you watch from the other side of a glass wall without any input for a hour is not fun or informative. When you know this is likely the only time you'll ever have to hear them speak you have an extremely frustrating situation.

spiffy_dude, I don't think any one of us could have put it better. This is the bottom line when dealing with this "Fight Night." That post should be a sticky for the mods to read, it hits the nail right on the head.
I just want to thank everyone here who was disappointed with Fight Night and wasn't afraid to let the admins know how you feel, despite the obvious backlash that we've received for our negative feedback about this "very successful Fight Night chat."
Man, after reading what they have on the homepage, I'm beginning to wonder if I was even at the right event.
"These Mortal Kombat gurus spent an hour answering your questions, tackling difficult topics that you wanted to know about."
I don't know, I figured a "yes" or "no" answer (and not both mind you!) would have been appropriate to a question like "Are there more than 24 playable characters?" But instead we got seven different answers, and instead of asking for clarification, instead we get "Ok. Next Question."
spiffy_dude had it right, we did/do feel insulted by this lack of respect.

i think that the MK team should at least reveal that there are/ aren't Su's so that this forum can be more informative and less bitching. If they had simply said "no there are no SU's", the true MK fans could move on and play the game rather than search the net for answers that are non- existent. I personally am never buying another Midway product simply because of the programmers' *cough Ed Boon cough* half ass performances. If there are no SU's, why can't the MK team own up to it? If there are, why leave the people who pay their bills hanging and questioning their integrity as a company? Whatever Midway, I for one am boycotting Midway and saying FU to the MK series unless Boon and Co. give some clarity to the SU conspiracy and prove they deserve our hard earned dollars. Who's with me?

Gimme a friggin break here.
What did you really expect Midway to say?You guys act like you don't know how Midway operates.Heck,to this day you still can't get the mk team to tell you if the kano transformation is real or not in MK2,we know it's in the arcade bios but it isn't there. The fact is,they aren't gonna tell you anything.I agree that some of the questions didn't fit this fight night, but hey shit happens when you have over 1000 sending in questions and like they said, complaints.i emailed in 5 questions and even msged the bot with a question twice...big whoppee they didn't pick one of mine.It happens.I got a kick out of them blurting stuff out, because more than half of you are gonna try and look to far into it as something unlockable.I thought the MKO staff handled it quite professional. That was no small task to run with 2 chans and over 1000 people.Yes I wish there was a few main questions asked, extra arenas(ice worm?),the fujin, stryker in the main menu,it wasn't be like Boon and Co. were gonna say ok they are there and here's how you get them.Lighten up and be happy you got to check them out first hand.MKO didn't have to do this for us.If they shut down the site and never did it again,I bet you'd be like damn I wish they'd open their site back up and do fight night again.Sheesh, just appreciate it and move on.Nuff said.
P.S. Ed-Boon was kicked by MKBot (flood) (LOL.That was classic!)

Some of you guys really make me sad to share this community with you. Scott and the rest did one heck of a job pulling this all together, and you all complain, bitch, and moan because your questions weren't asked or because you got yourselves all hyped up for things that weren't even there.
You got the truth. You didn't hear what you wanted, but you got the truth. Please do NOT bash the mods for this. They worked their tails off for us. The least we could do is be a BIT more appreciative, don't you think? They don't HAVE to do this for us. And to be honest, if this is the way the majority of the community is going to act after this work went into a fight night, then I don't blame them if they DON'T do it again. I don't blame them one bit.
If you guys think you can do better, fly or drive over to Midway, gather Ed AND his team together, and keep a chat with over 1,000 people running smoothly. Go ahead. Try it.
Oh and THEN deal with a bunch of people complaining about you not doing a good job afterwards.

Ok, I've read everyone's posts and have one question. Was anyone actually HELPED by the "info" revealed on fight night. From what I've read in the transcript, some of the most important questions got answers that were vague and contradictory. I'm sorry but thats not what I wanted to see, especially concerning the simple EXISTANCE of super unlockables. I mean, they couldn't just give us a simple "yes" or "no" on some of these important question? All we got were "maybe" "perhaps" and"hhhmmmm". I WANT ANOTHER INTERVIEW SESSION! If the development team doesnt want to bother with some of our burning questions, if not, maybe I won't bother looking at another fight night.
P.S.This mainly has to do with super unlockables, this is because I already have everything else from the first week I had the game. The fact is though, I DON'T EVEN WANT TO KNOW WHAT THEY ARE, WHERE THEY ARE OR EXACTLY HOW TO GET THEM, I just want to know if they EXIST, and maybe somehints on how to get them if they do. Im tired of following all these rumors without knowing if anything is there to find. BTW thanx MKO, the attempt was appreciated.

Yes the moderators really dropped the ball on this one...Wait....they drop the ball all the time in the newbish ways.
It was horrible unorganized and everything was about the Super Unlockables WHO ARNT EVEN IN THE GAME. It seems the mods only bough deception for the Super Unlockables.
This is really lame, the mods are really lame, and Boon and Co are really lame!!!

Has anyone noticed that it's only been 20 days since the game came out? Gimme a break. Eventually something will be found. It's only a matter of time. The game hasn't even been released in other countries. Do you think ALL the secrets would be revealed before some people even had a chance to buy the game?

I read the transcripts of last nights chat and I wasn't happy with some of the questions that some people chose to ask. Asking such superfluous and lazy questions didn't do anything but hurt some people's feelings about certain things not being in the game. Those kinds of questions took up too much time and no substantive information was revealed. Information that if true, may have been revealed eventually in PS Magazine or some other reliable source. Those were the same kinds of questions asked after MKDA was released.
Perhaps we should come to the realization that if some secrets are meant to be known, then they'll be revealed in their own good time in some way. So even if asking those questions would put to rest all rumors, most likely they won't be true. Some should have learned that lesson from MKDA and all the "final secret" hoopla!
Questions of quality, when asked, yield the best amount of information and there was a lot of the same "Is there...", "Can you open....?", "How do you get Big Bird and Cobra Commander?" type of questions that made me say to myself, "What in the Sesame Street fuck are some of these people asking?"! As was said by someone else, I did get some insight of how the MK Team works with each other, and read why FMV for every character is nnot feasible directly from the Team.
If anything is to be learned from last night for next time there is a Fight Night Chat with the Team, it is that most likely secrets about hidden characters, bonus areas, fgameplay features, location of Papa Smurf in Earthrealm or whatever won't be revealed. I see Fight Night as an opportunity to gain some insight into how the game was put together and what some of the challenges were along with their thought processes. Some of that was asked and answered......., but some "Trix are for kids" eating people just had to put forth questions that didn't illicit any substantive information that would benefit everyone else who wwas there.
You guys had a chance to pick the brains of the MK Team and learn about how they do all the amaizing shit that those cool Mo Fo's do to put a game like MKD together, and some of you just fucked it up. THEN, some have nerve afterwards to point the finger at the mods for how the chat went. As if some of you candycane loving Mo Fo's didn't have anything to do with how it went down last night.
I'm gonna put it as simple as possible. You have a car and like all cars, the muther fuckers need oil every once in a while to keep it running alright. Now with a lot of cars, a 2003 Jaguar S Type R for example, they need a certain kind of oil. Now most car can take any old kind of oil, but some cars are particular about the kind of oil that they need. Hell, you treat the Jag right with ponying up with the oil it needs and that sombitch will treat you well by not stopping dead on the highway somewhere while you're on your way to grandma's house or the strip club. I have a rule. Treat your car like it's a spanking new Jag and you don't want shit to happen to it. I mean shit, you wouldn't treat a Jag like a P.O.S. Honda Civic would you? HELL NO!
The Chat is like a Jag and the questions asked are the oil that the Jag needed to run right so everyone is happy after taking a ride in the mo fo. Well, last nigh some of you people treated the Jag like a damn ulgy ass Honda Civic with Nos injector, a shitty speckled lime green paint job, and a fucked up body kit with enormous fins. Some of the questions were good, but you know that mixing in good oil with bad oil just won't do, but some people fucked up and did it and we all know what happened. Asking good questions might be a good idea next time.
Everyday we all learn lessons so not to repeat them. Some My Little Pony loving people need to read last night Chat and reflect hard on the questions they asked so they know not to do it again.

Where the hell do you people get the idea that fight night was supposed to be having Boon and Co. help anyone?LOL.
That is really pathetic imo.It was for people to ask questions and deal with them first hand so to speak.Stop friggin whining,"they didn't tell us about SU's","they didn't tell me what sweep distance means","Boon wouldn't let me lick his balls so i'm not gonna buy anymore MK games".Cry me a friggin river. You want help?Go through the game and discover something.Take the time instead of waiting for a handout. You people aren't satisfied with anything. There are only 24 characters, there are not enough mini games,Waaaahh,I want this,i want that.Go make a game and put the stuff you are so intent on having in a fighting game. All these mods do is try to bring you stuff that alot of people only would dream of,what do you do?You crap on them.Boon and Co. bring you another MK after many thought MK was dead, what do you do?You crap on them too.I said before,I agree that some other questions should have been asked but on the fly with that many people,is kind of hard to please everyone. All you kids need a beating.Where's my friggin belt!?!

Most of the things said were clearly jokes, which i'm guessing is why they wern't followed up. Afterall, they WERE in the same room, right? So it'd be pretty clear what was a joke and what wasn't, i'd imagine.

Not that Yes, No, Maybe, Hmmmm crap. with "POV 120 people POV 120" without telling people, this is a hint to unlock something, or it's unrelated to the secret unlocking.
Also, I think as soon as Ed Boon talked about the POV 120 thing, one of the Mods of MKO should have immediately asked "Is this a hint, Ed?", but they did NOT ask. Now we are stuck at frigging guessing game again. We don't even know it's worth it to further analyze the POV 120 thing, or let it die! Cuz, what that refers to, is really the puzzle here. A hint? Or a totally unrelated comment?

God damn man, face the truth you ignorant rat, the fight night sucked ass!
The team basically laughed at more than a thousand people, those were the people who just wanted an answer to a few question, i think that would be rather fare since they bought the game for 50$, and all that they mk team said was very formal, they were dodging the questions, and no i dont wanna hear your lame ass reply on this becouse the truth is the truth.
MK fans may not always agree on things, but we definitley agree on one, the fight night was a let down.

Skaven13,
For the record, I'm not a huge fan of MK:D, and I don't really care too much about SUs and whatnot. If you're asking me if I could do a better job with the chat, then you're missing my point. I probably would not have done a chat in the first place. My problem with Fight Night was that not only did it not properly address the current hot topic, but it lacked direction. As I stated in my previous post, Fight Night was a solution without a problem. Accordingly, with no clear intentions, the event had the mods just listing off random questions, providing a very weak discussion. It's kind of the idea of horizontal/breadth versus vertical/depth. Fight Night basically went for breadth, not moving vertically at all, and since the MK team was less than cooperative, it resulted in the substance being spread very thin.
Chat management is one thing, but journalism is another.

Fight Night basically went for breadth, not moving vertically at all, and since the MK team was less than cooperative, it resulted in the substance being spread very thin.
Chat management is one thing, but journalism is another.

It seems like Ed Boon and the rest of the team are kinnda like the canadites for the president. They dodged all the ?'s that the people and fans of Mortal Kombat want to know. And then go a round about way of answering it. Ed Boons just like politicans, all about the benjimans. God I hate elections, and i now hate Ed Boon!

Ok like the mods said the ?'s were made by us. I bet half of them were about SU's. Now what I'm mad about is that the stupid ?'s ppl made up. One being will you guys ever consider making a less violent game by born again vampire.... WTF kind of question is that. That could of been why are there names in the clouds on the main menu. That would of been a question I could of lived with. Questions like this pissed me off and also got made fun of by the MK team like John Vogel or whoever said ever heard of GTA or Manhunt lol. I don't blame the MK Team or the MODS. They did a good job of this and I'm glad I could go even though I didn't get anything from it except a headache from the clues??? Now I think the question ballet could of gone a better and different way. I say next time I have 2 ways of going at this so everyones pleased. 1 We send the votes like we did this time then we put the top 25-35 in a thread and we vote on it. 2 Or we have people submit them in a thread and we vote on them. Thanks again Mods for doing a great fight night last night. It's our fault it sucked!!!

When the fuck are you guys going to wake up?
The super unlockable dont exist. THE WHOLE _GAME_ WAS HACKED UP A DAY AFTER IT CAME OUT. Everything is unlocked. EVERYTHING. Stop looking for more hidden stuff. ITS. FUCKING. OVER!
The same thing happened when MKDA came out too. People are still looking for stuff when EVERYTHING WAS UNLOCKED on the day that the game came out ITS OVER. Where do you think the fatalities came out from? They were simply hacked out of the game data. That's fucking it. You think for some reason, people managed to discovered 24+ fatalities in the span of a week?
Of course not.

How can I say this?
In a WAY there are secrets for people who didn't bother to look up anything on MKD before it was released.I spoiled MKD for myself.I knew almost everything about it months before it came out:
Liu Kang's Return
The Dragon King
Returning Levels
Death Traps
Fatalities
Trailers(the 2nd one spoiled the fatalities)
Konquest
Puzzle
Chess
=============
Thats the WHOLE game right there I knew about.Let this be a lesson to people like myself who did tons of research and looked at anything that had to do with MKD.There were only a few surprises for me to tell you the truth:
The Nexus Arena
Scorpion's new fighting style and weapon.
So for the next MK Im going to try and not look up anything about the game except the release date THAT'S ALL!There were more surprises in MKDA for me then MKD.I only knew a little about MKDA and thats the reason why it stayed in my Xbox for so long(2 years). The FANS spoiled the secrets.Don't go blaming the MK Team for releasing information. We Looked it up and spoiled it.-Drfatality

Here is a simple formula that I came up with after countless hours of writing theoretical equations, to some how structure what went down, on paper. I now feel confident enough to post and share this with all of you. This will no doubtedly answer everyone's questions and put an end to all the hostility, anger, and myths to the "MK *Deception* ". Now remember these are highly complex equations that might not make any sense to a lot of you thus leaving you in the same negative state of mind. So for those, I apologize, and sincerely feel your pain. But for the rest of us with gifts passed down to us by our forefathers, you are very lucky and should have no problem understanding the true meaning of these equations!
