Well, the debate has officially been laid to rest. Li Mei is finally confirmed by the new trailor after two magazine scans, numerous affirmation of inside sources, and explicit internet pics.

So if you're thinking "why make this thread? Isn't it going to just cause more flame wars?" I don't see why. What is left to argue?

Anyway, my point of making this thread wasn't to just point out the obvious, but give to props to all those who were willing to be reasonable in disagreeing during all the Li Mei Chaos. I'm extremely grateful to those who argued beside me, especially. Thanks, peeps. Good game.

I agree. I hate to say it but, I think Li Mei looks more interesting as a fighter. Her Styles from what I've seen in the trailer have changed. Her moves already look far more bad ass than MK:DA.

funny how Kitana isn't in it .. and Lei Me's outfit has been changed to blue .. can they ever make that girl her own character?

At first, I didn't believe it was Li Mei. In fact, the one thing justifying my opinion that it was not Li Mei is because the MK plot FAQ (which is at the Kombat Pavilion and on GameFAQs) states that John Vogel stated himself that "all endings that contradict all other MKDA endings are not canon", or words to that effect, and nobody's ending contradicted Li Mei's. And I have said for all this time, "If that chick is Li Mei, prove it with a life bar name!" Now, I have been proven wrong, and I accept it!

well now that its li mei, my hopes of kitana being in it have dropped. She most probably wont be playable which really sucks.

I was hoping for Kitana, too! And it looks like they've also dropped Kitana from Chess Kombat, too, which sucks even more!

This is classic of the MK staff to revive a character that supposedely died instead of putting in someone worthwhile like Kitana. Li Mei was horrible in MKDA, why the hell did she even make the cut for MKD? What the hell does she have to do with the story of MKD? She better have some kind of crazily good story/role in MKD or she'd just be a waste of gamespace.

-Still pissed Kitana aint in MKD

Is it me or does Li Mei look very cute in Puzzle Kombatgrin

Her fatality looks badass.It looks kinda like a brutality.

Well it's good we finally have that cleared up,it looks like Li Mei is in.I don't really have anything against the girl so i'll welcome her back.But it seems like alot of people really hate her,i'm more upset that Bo Rai Cho made the game...but oh well.glasses

So Li Mei is officially in it. I gotta be honest, I'm disapointed. For one, IMO playing as Li Mei in MK:DA was sub-par at best. Her story was almost nonexistent and she just screamed "Mindless T'n'A."
But most of all, I think there are many other characters who deserve to be in MK:D more than her. Not even just old "classic" characters either. I'd rather have had Mavado, Frost, Nitara, or a human Drahmin than "T'n'A" Le Mei.
If nothing else, I really hope she recieved a MASSIVE overhaul in both playability and story.

Lets just keep hoping she makes it in. Shes in the storyline why cant she be a secret playable character? hopefully they read through these threads and see how much sonya and kitana liked. Why do they tease us, kitana fans, by having her in the story and not playable. kind of reminds me of sonya when she was chained in a MK2 background but wasnt playable.

okay, Li Mei returns, and some have a hard time acceptin it. but guys, this game is looking to be the best in the series...SERIOUSLY! i think that if we can look past some characters not makin it (kitana, even though we all love her), this game is going to blow DA out of the water, and any other fighting game for that matter, so just chill out and enjoy it. there's always next time.^_~ *and i think i'm willing to give Li Mei one more chance*

I will give Li Mei one last chance and if she blows it this time, then I want her killed off, and never brought back again! I think she totally blew it in MKDA! Those sais did not originally belong to her to begin with!

And if I see her with the Steel Fans as a weapon, then my mind is made up about her already; KILL HER OFF! The same applies to Tanya, too!

Well, here we have the truth. No one wanted to believe, but I guess they cant deny it now. She is back and better then before.
