I think the DC cast was more well made. The only one I'm shocked to see there is Shazam. I mean I didn't even know who he was at first, LOL. But the rest are cool. I personally like WW, Flash, Green Lantern, Catwoman, and Joker. Then the MK cast...................well to be honest, it wasn't good. I don't get why Baraka(main villain's bitch in every game he's been in), Kano(same as Baraka but even worse), Jax(Sonya's lackey) are in this game. I also don't like the fact that Liu Kang and Shao Kahn are there but I think that's reasonable already considering the fact that they're the main hero and villain in the series. Anyway, now that that's out of the way , time to talk about characters that should've made it:

MK Side:

1. Mileena- Seriously, I still don't get why Baraka made it over her, LOL. First, 2 females on each side isn't enough, they should've at least added one more. Second, she's a villainess(I just notice there aren't any female villains in the game) Third, she's way more iconic than Baraka. She was half-Tarkatan, wore sexy outfits, a clone and has a more complex story, while Baraka was main villain's bitch....Anyway, I'm just glad Kitana's there.

2. Reptile- Ok he's also one of those villain's lackeys but at least he's better than Kano or Baraka. He may have just been a palette swap at first but at least the MK team vastly improved his appearance. Plus, he's the very first secret character in the series, and one of the first three ninjas made, so I think he's good enough to be considered iconic.

3. Johnny Cage- I don't like him but they should've given him a chance 'coz he was way better and more iconic than Kano and Jax. And if they already added 6 of the original 7, why didn't they just include him to complete the list. Plus he's the comical character in the series so I think he deserves a spot.

DC Side:

Like, I said the DC side is almost perfect so I wouldn't make any changes to the roster but i'd rather have Green Arrow and Black Canary over Shazam anytime.

Some of you guys need to look in the dictionary to understand the meaning of "ICONIC" and "RECOGNIZEABLE"

I didn't read through much of this, but I saw Quan Chi. Seriously? I love Quan Chi. He's one of my favorite characters. I like him more than anyone on the MK side except Sub-Zero, but he is NOT more iconic or recognizeable than any of them.

Stop putting up wish lists and be for real.

MK:

1 - Reptile - Like so many others mentioned, he was the first hidden character. Evolved into more than just a palette swap. He's THE lackey if you're looking for a henchman character. And with his reptilian look he could've filled the monster character slot instead of Baraka. Not to mentioned that he's probably got a larger fan base.

2 - Kung Lao - He always seemed the better monk to me compared to Liu Kang. A very unique character. You've got in almost every game your Ninja, female assassin, evil sorcerer type character. How many characters do you know with a bladed hat?

3 - Johnny Cage - Easily a better character than either Kano and Jax. And let's be honest. Who didn't think of nut punching Superman?

DC:

1 - Bane - The man that broke Batman's spine. His style and personality are more than a perfect match for MK.

2 - Black Canary - One of DC's best female martial artists and the ability to use sonic screams.

3 - Lobo - If you know Lobo, you know he belongs in there.

Out of the choices that could’ve been chosen in the MK1-MK2 era, I have to say I’m very pleased with the selection.

Would’ve liked:

- Kung Lao
- Kintaro or Goro

DC
- Two-Face (favorite character for as long as I can remember)
- Solomon Grundy would’ve been cool as well, a killed ex-mafia man turned phenomenal zombie


Really, for the era, they choose some solid choices for both sides, I’m glad.
