Well, I'm anticipating the game, and Last time Brady released a very incomplete strategy guide, and ALOT of people complained about how lousy it was put together. So I'm asking you what you'd like to see in it, your perfect composition.

Thick Why? MK Deception has ALOT of components to it. Chess, Mini combat, Konquest, and Fighting. Along with this they'll probably include Krypt, Fighting Style, and character information.

Bigger, Clearer Screens Last time, the screens were very few and unclear. The Special moves should be shown, as well as A shot or render of each characters Fatalities, and their costumes. The Commentary on what's best strategy for each character is welcome.

Full body Renders and Art Design Being an artist myself, I'd like to see more full body renders in all their might, they showed full body in every strategy guide up until now. The art section was Great in the last strategy Guide, but more is needed.

Interactivity and History The Last guide had a Quiz and Time Line. The Time line is welcomed possibly with Some shots of who was champ and how it happened. The Quiz was by no means challenging, but interesting to take.

Krypt Section What can be found in the Krypt. I think that there should be a secret section with everything listed. Like, an open at your own risk type section. Along with this, how to unlock the hidden characters that would be previously shown in the character section, but not told how to do it.

Boss Fighting Strategy What ever happened to these? This should come back, as well as a nice, Spiffy render of the Dragon King.

Oh, and It should be released, AFTER the game by a month or so...wink

Post your thoughts, and add-on's.

nothing... MK strategy Guides take away from the game... so me personally, I dont want anything. The only thing nice about them is all the pictures, drawings, and renders of the characters. Now if someone made a book just of those, sort of like how Soul Caliber 2 did (but better), then that'd be great.

you dont have to look or buy the strategy guides, i hate the people who bitch about the guides but its there own choosing to look at these guides.if u dont want to know all the secrets or what not then dont buy or look at guides. its that simple!

I didnt say I would look or buy it did I? Calm the fucc down, the question was, what should the Strategy Guide have. And in my opinion, it shouldnt have any secret shyt. I grew up playing MK, and when the game was at its best, there wasnt damn guides left and right tellin u how to do everything, its part of the mystique... figuring out the best parts of the game by yourself... the rumors of hey, try this or that, and try it this far away... now its "Buy MK and get the strategy guide for $5 less, go home look into the guide and find out how to do EVERYTHING".... it just kills MK in my opinion... sorry if that upsets you so much... your like all these other little kids who take shyt to heart "i fell out of my Chair when I saw XXXXX in the screen shot"... calm down man, I have a right to give my view on the whole strategy guide debate, just cuz you dont agree.

How to do the moves, Fatalities, A good amount of combos, would also be swell, as would a nice picture tutorial to tell you that what you're doing is right. If anything, let it resemble the Gamefan Produced MK Trilogy guide. That Was a nice help and lots of good screens and pics.

Chill, no flaming here. He's right about whatever. Although there were guides popping up left and right by many different companies, as now there's only one-BRADYGames. Prima doesn't do them anymore. Although I'd like the "At-your-own-risk" Section. You don't have to open it.

K, if your going to make a strategy guide, here is what I think would be most useful:

MK Story Line Up to this point
MK Deception Story line
Bios for every fighter
Strengths/Weaknesses for each fighter
All the moves listed in the instruction manual
One Fatality
One Stage Fatality
Endings
Renders
Sketches
Screen Shots
Techniques
and I like the Poster Idea... if you could get those tear away posters... like several, those would be tight.
Areas to write down newly obtained info (hints)
Chess Techniques

That would probably be about it... nothing that takes away from the game or helps people find anything hidden.

1. I wasnt taking away your opinion, you have every right to it
2. I'm not a lil kid
3. I never came out and attacked your opinion like you did to mine
4. the people who want to find out the secrets on there own can do that and the people who want to find out the secrets from a guide should be able to do that as well.

Peace Out

Even if you don't buy the guide, the codes would be exposed all over the internet the day the game hits. I'm just saying, having them in the guide is a plus.

I would also like to add that I doubt there will be a guide that will be able to tell all the secrets anyway.

Peace Out

yeah your right... sorry.

people have a right to ruin their own MKD experience if they want to.

so with that said... to make an Ultimate Strategy Guide, you would have to do everything being done now, plus more. More pictures, more background info, more input, more extra's (posters)... never seen renders, stuff like that. You'd have to get exlusive rights, cuz it seems like every magazine gets exclusives on certain pictures.

When I was young, 13 or so, I bought every magazine that had MK (i believe it was MKII) and cut out pictures and made my own guides based on what I knew about the game, what I had learned, and then I sold them to kids at school...

Good Idea. Very swell indeed.

They should also list tactics for Chess as well as Puzzle fighter, and Konquest, like what characters will be where at what time, kinda like an agenda.

It's not just a fighting game anymore. It's an RPG, A Chess, an Puzzle game. Along these lines, EVERY Fighting game made has a strategy guide. Why not make the perfect one for MK D?

Ditto. This guide should have a crap load of stuff. All the things you listed in your post should be in. But I think the guide should come out at the time of the release of MKD.

I think that we should get at the least a week or two to get our bearings on the game. Then release the guide. Along these lines, I'm thinking the guide'll be around 200 some pages thick due to the content of the game. Why not have more screens? Why not have clearer renders? Why not concept art? Why not costume pics? and Why not posters, or stickers even! Maybe even coupons for future MK Games!

Keep'em coming.

All I want is just character art, character renders, and cool outside-artists work compiled up.

Hell, if actually wanted information, I'd just go on the net. Stratagy guides are meant for bathroom reading material.

Exactly. I like the pics as well as the splendid renders and such. The screen shots for the past games were nice too, until the DA guide was put out with darkened hard to see shots.
