I was really disappointed when in Ultimate Mk Mileena was a skunk!? A freaking skunk. She should be a shark with those set of teeth

I have considered many points and tried to find a logical animal for every character. Of course, some of them have no animal reference at all (like Jarek) so I tried to find an animal that would make sense for eveyone. I have been working two hours on that list, but I enjoyed it.

Not that I don't appreciate the point of this thread, and I kinda like it, but...
I hate when people throw around the word "official" with no reasoning behind it. It's not like I can put, "Official Roster for MKA" and then list nothing but Street Fighter characters, and the word official somehow makes it... relevent.
BUT ANYWAY...
I wouldn't mind seeing animalities back, but I'd prefer the more serious MK3 ones, as opposed ot the goofy stupid UMK3/MKT ones. Polar Bears, Sharks and T-Rexes made sense... at least to a degree... Skunks, and Penguins were rather lame. Funny, but lame. Keep the humor in Friendships. (I don't mind it there, because there, hey, it's the point. Animalities are meant for a'killin.)
The only demand I have is make Shao Kahn's a hydra. That's what i've thought of his as ever since Annihilation. God awful movie, but I think that would still be a decent animality for him.

Quan Chi - Whomever he's fighting is the Animality he mimics.

I don't mind if Animalities come back, as long as there do right, because they suck in Mk3, I guess that doesn't make sence?
And why the hell does everyone want Sub-Zero to be a Polar Bear, he should be an Abomabdominal Snowman. Rip the character in Half!

I have edited the previous list and in my opinion this one is a nearly perfect list of what the animalities should be, even if we all know they wont come back

Shang Tsung- A COBRA because it's his previous animality and because he make a fire cobra in the intro of MKD.
Scorpion- A SCORPION. A penguin. in my opinion it was a good way to scrap Scorpion's animality.
Sub-Zero- A POLAR BEAR is the biggest and most dangerous polar animal.
Shinnok- A WYVERN (usually a dragon-like creature with a scorpion tail)
Shujinko- A GREAT HORNED OWL. It is often associated with old people (actually it is associated with wisdom more than elderly) plus it's a magnificent creature that inspired fear throughout the generations and is responsible for many myths.
Kai- A WHITE TIGER because of his stripes it would fit in my opinion.
Kung Lao- A TIGER. After reflexion, it fits him best. The tiger has such a fanbase that it would be acceptable to have two tigers in the same MK game. The white and the red tigers are both very popular.
Quan Chi- A CENTIPEDE (scolopendra morsitans). The sworn enemy of the scorpion (sworn enemy of Scorpion) and a very scary animal.
Reiko- A DIRE RACCOON. It can be very aggressive and it bears a mask like Reiko.
Kabal- The RHINO SKELETON was cool.
Kano- A TARANTULA is okay. What animal fits him anyway ?
Cyrax- A SHARK? ...... okay, a shark.
Sonya- A HAWK. Females are always bigger and more powerful. And it's a fierce predator.
Jarek- A STAG BEETLE. He would slice his opponent in half after having vicegripped and beaten them.
Stryker- Stocky and strong? A BISON would be nice.
Rain- Nimble and skillful like a VELOCIRAPTOR or a A TAZMANIAN DEVIL. Very combative and fierce animals.. (speculation for the raptor of course)
Ashrah- A PRAYING MANTIS. Females are meaner, and some mantis species are whitish in color. Also because praying fits Ashrah since she's a demon slayer.
Sindel- A GIANT WASP kind of fitted her. If not, a very noisy animal, to fit her banshee scream.
Kitana- An INDIAN PEAFOWL. Not only because of the fan tail that refer to her fans, but also because it is a very, very aggressive bird that cannot withstand the presence of other males. It has sharp spurs on its legs and it can fly, so it does not hesitate to attack the face of its opponent. It is also blue like Kitana and it is often recognized as the most beautiful animal, like Kitana who is re-known for her beauty. A peafowl is unexpected, but it's okay when you have to choose over sixty animals.
Johnny Cage- If I was Cage, I'd choose the LION. He kinda thinks he's the best right ?
Liu Kang- A DRAGON as always.
Reptile- Any reptile would fit nicely. Maybe a KOMODO DRAGON or a GILA MONSTER.
Baraka- The VULTURE fits his bald head perfectly.
Raiden- Turkeys can sense thunderstorms and they have a ritual before the storm occurs. Although I love turkeys, I doubt this fits our good ol' Raiden (right tg ). A mythic creature would suit him well. Either the ORIGINAL RAIDEN which was a composite beast with thunder powers or a THUNDERBIRD. The eel was kinda lame.
Kenshi- There are blind fishes, but I doubt they inspire fear. A mole barely sees but it's harmless, unless it's a WERE-MOLE with huge front claws like Bakuryu in Bloody Roar.
Li Mei- A lesser feline like an OCELOT or a margay.
Dairou- A great ELK with huge and sharp antlers. I don't know, but Dairou inspires calm and power at the same time.
Sareena- A RAVEN. I'd like to see that.
Tanya- A BLACK WIDOW; treacherous and dangerous. Nuff said.
Darrius- A BROWN BEAR. I wouldn't be shocked to see that animal for him. It's big, bad and uses his front paws in the same manner Darrius uses his gauntlets.
Noob Saibot- A BLACK PANTHER. Forget about the anteater !
Smoke- A GORGON. It is a mythical beast found in DnD that is a giant iron bull which emits clouds of petrifying smoke.
Nightwolf- A WOLF. Nuff said.
Ermac- I'd see him turn into an army of FIRE ANTS !!! It's red and dangerous.
Mavado- A WOLVERINE. It isn't particularly big or fast, but it can catches prey twice its size (reindeer) and it can steal a bear's prey because it's so aggressive. Mavado isn't particularly big or fast, but he's one determined guy, and he needs an animal that would make him look tough, cause he lacks that toughness in my opinion.
Kobra- A SABERTOOTH TIGER would be awesome.
Kira- A RED FOX. Its a quick and aggressive animal, and it has red hair !
Fujin- The god of Wind needs to be an EAGLE.
Frost- An ARCTIC FOX because it manages to survive among greater carnivores and it is very clever.
Havik- A demonic, corpse-like giant TOAD. It could puke acid or something, but done in a different manner from Reptile's acid spit of course.
Jax- A big, mean and strong DIRE APE, like a gorilla.
Bo' Rai Cho- A BADGER. It is one of the most aggressive animals plus it stinks.
Hotaru- Some kind of GIANT BUG, to fit the meaning of his name. Of course a firefly is innoffensive, but a mythic insect-like monster would be awesome.
Drahmin- A rotten CROCODILE. He needs a big creature worthy of an Oni.
Mokap- A whip-poor-will...... as nonsense as he is lol. (a whip-poor-will is a true animal, but believe me: it's harmless).
Mileena- A HYENA. It has a very powerful jaws (Mileena's teeth) and the females are the leaders and are more aggressive than the males. Fits her perfectly.
Jade- The very beautiful and poisonous DENDROBATES AURATUS.
Sektor- A red CRAB with bing pinchers.
Hsu Hao- A big and dangerous mammal. Maybe an ELEPHANT, a rhino or a hippo.
Nitara- A VAMPIRE BAT.
Onaga- A kitten. No. A GIANT ANACONDA... but a reaaaaally big snake you know what I mean.
Kintaro- A GIANT SMILODON with additional canines scattered around the jaw.
Shao Kahn- A HYDRA. It was clever since it was still showing that Kahn is more powerful than Kang.
Goro- A giant regal-looking WARTHOG with many horns all over the snout.
Sheeva- She could transform in a SWARM OF PIRAHNAS ! That'd be cool.
Moloch- A giant creature like a DINOSAUR or a glyptodon.
Blaze- A PHOENIX.

ever seen a polar bear, they are actually responsible for a lot of deaths up north, are very strong, are about 9ft tall standing on hind legs at least and are very agressive, not an animal you mess with

NO, the biggest carnivorous polar animal is the Arctic Giant Shark. Yes, plankton eaters are carnivores to my knowledge.
Otherwise i would prefer the Polar Fox for him.

It's "Abominable Snowman" and yes imo this would be a better idea.

I think the factor for an animality is the danger factor, and artic fox would get its ass kicked by a polar bear, hell even the friggin crocidile hunter stays back from these bad boys (one attacked him while he was just talking in a bus, basically no real reason except it was annoyed for something)
yeah they seem cute and cuddly but they are mean sobs so no more talk about how polar bears aren't a good idea, otherwise I am posting a link with facts on them and also, yes chrome, you are correct about the plankton eating, although I thought only the whale shark was an plankton eating shark?

You know I meant the largest land mammal. I am excluding the pinnipeds such as sea elephants which may reach 4 tons in weight vs the polar bear's approximatively 1000 pounds.

I really liked the Animalities, and Im sure that if improved, they could look AMAZING in MKA or the next-gen games. I didn’t mind the glow, but I rather see them with a more realistic and natural look.
Sonya: PHOENIX or GIANT EAGLE
One of my fave Animalities in Mk, just because I love eagles/hawks/falcons/etc. This animal fits her *perfectly*. Its powerful and resembles wisdom, I love eagles.
But I must also said, I had thought a Phoenix would be even better. After all, she has fire/magical powers, so it would be great to see her turn into this large beautiful mystic creature and destroy the enemy.
Shang Tsung: COBRA
Also one of my faves, though it could had been better in Mk3. I also love snakes, and this is the *perfect* animal for Shang Tsung. I specially loved it in MKDs intro. The way the cobra was used was fantastic, I wouldn’t mind seeing something like that mixed with the Mk3 eat thing.
Scorpion:...DUH!
LMAO!!!! A Penguin. Probably one of the worst Animalities in the series along side Reptile, Kitana, Mileena etc. There is no doubt Scorpion should be a Scorpion, how can we forget his awesome Mk4 Fatality? The way that Scorpion looked was superb. That’s his animal, no doubt.
Liu Kang: DRAGON
It looked the best in Mk2, but it played the best in MKSM and MK4. I loved the way the dragon attacked the victim in those 2 games better then in Mk2/Mk3, it’s a must. One of the best.
Sub-Zero: POLAR BEAR
I much rather see him as a giant Shark (Im terrified of those beasts), but its Cyraxs, and I know the Polar bear is his animal. As long as all the mammal animals play different, I want him to be a polar bear. It sucked to see Jax, Sub, Kung Lao and the rest attacking the same way (transform, jump, silly bites, transform), those animalities were really boring.
Shinnok: DEMON
I think any demon like animal fits him perfectly. Im interested in the wyvern thing YingYeung mentioned, but I really don’t know what that is or how it looks.
Kano: TARANTULA
Looked awesome in Mk3, and it fits his character.
Sindel: BANSHEE / MEDUSA
Ugh...that wasp thing was horrible and didn’t suit her at ALL! Every time I saw Sektor transform into a bat, I always thought that should had been Sindels. Now however, I think they should work with an ancient creature and make it more animal like. A Banshee or a Medusa would work perfectly with Sindel. I would love to see her like that.
Kabal: GLOWING SKELETON
I honestly have to clue why they chose that for him, but it looked awesome.
Quan Chi: GIANT CARNIVOROUS WORM from King Kong
Disgusting, evil, and scary, it all resembles Quan Chis beautiful personality, so why not?
Reiko: RACCOON
LOL, I actually think YingYeungs idea of making Reiko a freaky raccoon would work well. He does wear a mask like one of those. He even reminds me of a Siberian Wolf-dog.
Cyrax: SHARK
Loved the shark. Personally I hate these beasts, they freak me out, but it would look awesome if improved.
Jarek: BLACK BEETLE
Oh! I really like this for Jarek. I don’t remember who said it but I really like it for him. Slice or eat, it would look cool and disgusting.
Stryker: T-REX
A dinosaur is very cool, and I would like they keep the awesome T-Rex for Stryker, its his animal.

I 100% agree with YingYeung in this. The stupid skunk thing looked awful, she needs something awesome. Either of those two would work well. I specially like the idea of her being a hyena, it just suits her character perfectly. Those beasts are evil and horrible, and very very sarcastic, lol, they laugh like Mileena.
Kitana: BUNNY
To YingYeung, an Indian Peafowl could never work for Kitana unless they reveal that she has bee a **transsexual** since game 2, lol. It’s the males the ones that look beautiful and have the long incredible tail and colors, the females are the complete opposite. The males use their beauty to attract the females, who are more stubby, have a short tail and are usually brown.
I think the bunny would look great if improved. I thought it was hilarious (like Jades), but it wasn’t as good. Its boring if it only bites like that. Maybe, maybe if they make it work like Kung Laos bunny attacks in Shaolin Monks, then I would love it.
Johnny Cage: ANACONDA
Every time I see Shang Tsung turn into a cobra, I think the snake thing fits Johnny Cage as well. The kangaroo was ok, but an Anaconda is simply so much better. I would LOVE to see an exaggerated giant sized snake strangling its victim. Would look awesome-.
Reptile: VELOCYRPTOR
Everyone familiar with Jurassic Park or dinosaurs in general, will know that it suits Reptile better then anything else. Those dinosaurs were kind of small, but incredibly fast, smart and dangerous. I would love to see Reotile turn into that and use his huge claw to rip the flesh of the victim.

I think for Rayden, they have to invent/create a cool mythological beast associated with thunder. I cant think of any animal that fits him perfectly. His Animality in MkT was cool, but not good enough.

A carnivorous butterfly would be funny and cool. Her name has something to do with flowers and sweet stuff anyways.
Shao Kahn: HYDRA
Yes, it was awesome (even though it looked horrible in the movie itself) in the movie, and it fits him perfectly. I love this mythological beast and would like to see him use it.

About Kitana: Lol as if I didn't knew only males were beautiful. In fact, even males have a short tail (rusty in color). The long feathers are the continuity of the back feathers, and when the male lifts his tail, the back feathers display like a fan. You can find many pics of that on internet I'm pretty sure.
Last summer I went to an aviary and they had peafowls. A peacock attacked me when I approached the aviary. It leaped up to the height of my face, shrieking, and tried to kick me with both talons, but the aviary separated both of us. Everyone here would be surprised how aggressive this bird can be.

And yes, I can help you with a description of those Animalities (you have *never seen them????O_O. Never played Mk Trilogy?*):
***Bunny: Kitana
At sweep distance, she turns into a sweet cute bunny, then suddenly, the bunny jumps at your ---private area--- with a monstrous roaring sound and attacks that part of the victim. The bunny sprite just stays there biting you while tons of blood comes out of...there, and the victim walks backwards (picture how the people react when Kahn hits them with his fireball) till him/her disappears from the screen. Its funny at first, but then it becomes very boring.
***Skunk: Mileena
Its HORRIBLE!!! She just turns into a small skunk, throws some green smell-smoke clouds to the victim who screams and then faints. That’s it.
***Kitten: Jade
Now this one is awesome. She turns into a small sweet kitty, then suddenly with a shriek like the one of the rabbit (monster or cat-like, I don’t remember) she spins you, by this I mean, you start spinning like if Kabal performed his dash move, you are like a whirlwind but you can actually see a black thing moving really fast around you (the kitty), then just as fast bones and blood start to come out and when the Kitty returns to its sweet position there is nothing left.
***Anteater: Noob Saibot
Very silly actually. He just turns into a big anteater and sucks you in (his tromp gets slightly fat at first).
***Eel: Rayden
He turns into an eel at sweep distance. The eel looks cartoonish and kind of funny with big eyes, then it grabs your waist, sends shocks of electricity and makes you and it explode.
