I wonder if we can :

*make corpse people (Meat and Drahmin)?

*get flies to fly around our character(Like Drahmin) or drip blood (Like Meat)?

*get bandages around our head like MKSM Reptile?

*have a Shao kahn helmet?

*Have Moloch's Chain Ball hand?

Those would be cool ideas I think.grin

Partially. You said you couldn't create cyborgs but you can (sort of) and he just happened to be Cyrax.

Anyway, the layers are cool I must admit but there are a few things I want to comment on now. One, is MK:A's isn't finished yet so we'll see ...even without say a layer option as deep as that I know they have em to a point which is good. They still give you lots of selection as for creativity, well that's up to us.

While it is true that they give you alot of selection, but is it enough? What happens when i have created my Akuma for example, i am happy with him; his face structure is right, the hair is right, the attire is right etc etc but what happens if i want that symbol he is known to have on his back? Uh oh, problem, and it might be a problem to can't be dealt with. What i'm saying is that while we still be able to create good looking KAKs, little symbols that characters may usually have on their costumes/attire may become a nuisance to perfectionists(like me) and characters that have alot of different symbols maybe very hard to do.

I'm sure there will be some players on here that make insane shit from MK:A's KAK that nobody would think possible.I know I'll make insane shit with it since I love art.

Oh don't worry, i will make some insane shitwink I'll be on this more than main game my friend.

The different faces are also bitching with tarkas, zombies, undead, robotic, cyborg, skulls, flaming skulls, vampire, deformed, clowns, etc, etc.Now that's a great breed of KAK right there and a lot of those are lacking in Smackdown games.

Tarkatas: Yes
Zombie:....I didn't see a zombie face, but i'll turn something in to a zombiewink
Undead:......isn't this like zombie, if not i still didn't see it.
robotic: Yes
cyborg:Isn't this the same thing as robotic......
Skull:yes
Flaming skull:yes
Vampire: I think there is only vampire teeth, but thats a good thing.
deformed:???
Clowns:????????

Oh and you forgot reptile facewink

The styles gig is awesome, that we already talked about. To make your own style as oppose to just choose wrestling, karate or submission like the other games is a hell of a lot deeper and adds much more depth to you KAK.This is like NO other game so far fighter or wrestling game, the fact that you can literally make up your own combos from scratch IF you want, there are default ones for the casual or lazy lol fans already made.

Didn't SC3 let you create your own combos(never played it), but i think Pride FC was the first game to create your own combos, but MK:A's is undoubtly better. No arguments here.

LOTS of oldschool characters from MK and other already made and you can customize them to your delight.

Are you getting paid to say this? lol it just sounds something in an ad campaign would say.

Overall, MK:A's will be better I believe for many reasons. You'll be able to make spot on characters, we've already seen this with talented artists at E3 and that versions was HARDLY finished, Malone the guy that gave the E3 report directly while there said he created Khameleon and I must admit he did a FINE job at doing so.

While we will be able to create good looking KAKs, symbols(like i said) may become a problem and people with lots of symbols on there attire are going to be very hard to make.I'm very nit-picky about my work, it must be almost perfect before i post a formula up and i feel that some things my become a distraction.

Now don't get me wrong, i will enjoy making KAKs but i feel there something empty about no multi layer system, it was something in CAW that made all other create mode obsolete because it added a level of customization like no other.

Ok, well first off about the paid comment, no merely listing the facts.

On your SC 3 comment, yeah you could to a point but it's shit compared to MK:A's gameplay vids of it.Like you said and SC3 was retarded in limiting you to only 10 KAK.And not online either.

Symbols, well in CAW there are symbols I can think of that weren't in there.

Now, honestly the only way you're going to get symbols with depth is if they put something in there like Forzamotor sports create a car custome designs.Where you literally MAKE your own symbos by moving the cursor in different directions, you would have to be extremely talented to pull it off but that's the only game thus far with a limitless choice of symbols.

Also, not for nothing but symbols aren't that big of an issue. In a car game, yes on a KA person not really...

I'd rather have a tattoo category then that.

The cyborg comment, well you can in CAW but not as deep as MK:A's cyborg.

This we've seen.

Reptilian face, yes I forgot that. Also, yes there's a zombie and I saw a clown like face some where along the line in the many KAK vids, undead I think they either changed it to something else or it's now Zombie which is also in there.Ask Tetra.

And I disagree with you about accurate characters, did you see that E3 quick build of Akuma?Dude, that looked spot on man and that version was hardly even worked on lol.

I can only imagine what the final game will offer, but I know it'll be kick ass and rule.

If you're an artist that helps obviously but there will be a lot of casual gamers that don't go nearly as deep with it as perhaps people like you and I will.

Any idea of how big you can make a character yet?
I'd love to make a vampirish moloch sized tarkatan.

Oh, and I'm guessing that Shokan's are still unconfirmed?

Yes, as of right now there are 3 different sizes for your KAK, small, medium and large. This is the body size I'm talking about, this applies to both genders btw also.

BTW, I just realized something about this whole shokan's gig.It makes perfect sense not to put those faces in there because unless your character has 4 arms it'll look kind of dumb but that's my opinion.Or they can just add 4 arms for your KAK all together allowing you to create Shokan's.

Oh yah, I meant having four arms, I wasn't complaining about Shokan faces.
We have about everything else, we've got Motaro's tail, as well as his legs if I'm not mistaken, we have Nitara's wings, Baraka's arms... I'm guessing that his blades are available as weapons. I hope so, I want to make one badass Tarkatan that looks higher ranking then Baraka.

I wouldn't see the probably with adding shokan arms, dragon wings, and the possibility to be "boss big"... I mean, is that what big entails? Or is the biggest kak still look shrimpish in contrast to the bosses?

I these options will find they're way into the final build, anything already available from other characters must be included in kak, plus dozens of extras.

I mean christ, with the hockey mask, machete, zombie face, we can definately make a decent Jason, given that theres some torn looking clothes, and some leather gloves with finger holes grin!

Plus with the flamming skull, leather clothes, some spikes here and there we got ourselves a Ghost Rider... That seems eternally fun, even if unoriginal.

So is it official, we only have 2 kaks per profile? This would make sense, considering space constraints, and the fact that theres 62 playable characters anyways.

Where is it confirmed that we'll only have 2 KAK per profile?Well, at least it's not limited.I mean we can make infinite profiles and especially the xbox owners like myself where the space is virtually limitless with the harddrive so no memory cards for me, or I can even copy it to a few just in case hehehe. The harddrive rocks!

if it really ends up being only 1 per profile. They had better allow for all the stuff you unlock on one to be available for all profiles like most of the other unlocked stuff 'cause that could get tedious. And they also better allow for an INSANE amount of profiles for the setup on all systems not just X-Box (I have PS2 and no harddrive either just memory cards). There are like 50 chars I want to make lol. That's the thing we should be signing a petition for people... lol. Excessive amount of KAK allowed PLEASE!!! I love CAW. But I ran out of slots for CAWS that you can have on one card. I miss the old ones that used to allow you like 10 or some number to a profile and allow for you to have like as many profiles as you have space on the memory card for with each profile counting as its own "block" so if you delete/copy one you don't do it to them all! In regards to Ed Boon saying that nobody really wants a bunch of sub-menus to scroll through when you click on the KAK box, if it means getting MORE KAK than allowed ever before I say MENU ME my man. Lol. Petion for more KAK people it is worth it to those of us who enjoy these modes.

In other words none of you are sure, I can tell....

lol, they haven't announced it yet officially apparently.I'll just wait and see, doesn't matter because I have the xbox and I'll create infinite on there since it's a harddrive, it'll just save on there but I can also copy it to a memory card.

PS2 you only have the memory card.

I'm with you on that. They better have it that you can transfer unlocked content over to any profile. It's either that or allow a big number of created characters per profile. If not, it's going to be very tedious and limited.

Even if they do allow you to make KAF across multiple profiles, will that stop you from pitting characters against PROFILE 1 and PROFILE 2 together? Or is it assumed that you can load one profile to pick one KAF and load PROFILE 2 to pick his or her opponent?

Remember the Black Dragon Mercenary from MK:SM?
You think he is perfectly makeable in KaK?

If so, he'd be a perfect Tremor... He'll, even if I never really cared for the character, you figure he'd of been easy to add, and would have looked cool.

That's fine that you don't like the KAK mode, some players don't however you do realize thought that it'll play just like the rest of the game right?

With the air kombat, custom made combos, some special moves etc.

11 step fatality etc, etc.

This KAK mode will own though, hehe I can't wait to try it out.I'll make several characters one way or another despite whether it's 2 guys per profile or 1, either way it'll be limitless unless midway literally tells us before the game's release you can only have 5 KAK's or something like that.

I do agree with gemini though, hopefully there's a transfer option or the best thing would be this.

Screw unlocking anything for KAK and just have everything available from the start, some might be against this but hell if it's a few KAK's per profile I doubt many would argue it, it's saving time of unlocking anything for your KAK.

Yea, I get all that, it just doesn't look very well done... I dunno, maybe its just that I've been playin Mortal Kombat since it was first out in the arcade, and part of the reason I continue to play has something to do with the stories of the fighters... Actually, now that I think about it, thats probably the reason I love Mortal Kombat and every other Fighting Game is just kinda... ehhh whatever.

Making random guys and thinking up stories for them and forcing them into the story just isnt for me.

I'm not knocking people for looking forward to the mode or really even the mode itself, its just not me... just doesnt seem "authentic" in the MK story.
