When this thread first started, i read in order to get an item in in the 2nd area of the whole game, you must have liu kang to keep on doing his Triangle air move to get up there and get it. I don't know if ya'll already figured this out, cuz i'm not going through all 6 pages lookin for it, but there is a portal in the wu shi academy next to the one you use to go to the portals. when you're fighting the guards, go to the bottom right of the screen and you should find a statue, break it and you'll see the portal to Tsung's Island. you'll need either double jump or wall run to get it.

I'm confused. Playing as Kung Lao single player. How do I unlock sub/scorpion for single player?

ok ive done all of the smoke missions but i still dont have mk2 do i have to complete the game aswell?? just wondering thanks

If you live in Europe and have the PAL version of the game, then you got screwed out of the MK II port. The PAL version doesn't have it for some reason.

My Xbox PAL version has MK2, I think PS2 doesn't have it though.

PrimaGames.com has released the last of the MKSM codes. Click here to see them...or, if you have the strategy guide, and STILL have the CD that came with it, pop the CD in your computer's CD-ROM Drive, click on Kodes, then click on Codes Set 3.

By the way, the codes do work! You have to hold the L2/White button while doing the inputs for them to work, and the codes must be done on the main menu. Here they are:

Kode #1
X-Box: X, Up, L, R, Left, Right, X
PS2: Square, Up, L1, R1, Left, Right, Square
Result: Scorpion unlocked (Single-Player/Ko-Op Modes)

Kode #2
X-Box: X, Down, Up, L, L, Up, X
PS2: Square, Down, Up, L1, L1, Up, Square
Result: Sub-Zero unlocked (Single-Player/Ko-Op Modes)

Kode #3
X-Box: X, Up, Down, Right, Left, Black, X
PS2: Square, Up, Down, Right, Left, R2, Square
Result: MK2 unlocked

By the way, the PS2 version of Kode 3 is NTSC exclusive, needless to say.

And, if you unlock these three by putting in these codes (aka, the easy way to unlock them), they WILL autosave to your memory card...just make sure you start a new game or load an existing one, then exit the game by pressing select, then choosing Exit Game, and then Yes, and let it autosave first.

Goro is NOT playable without a cheat device, I can tell you that right now. (you'd probably have to hack the GameShark/CodeBreaker/ARMax codes yourself to do that, though, and it's not easy, from what I've heard).

Thinks you man but just wonding why does old Mortal Kombat game have big secrets and MKDE and MKSM have little secrets, that are EZER to find like new people, i mean i missed the good old days where you can unlock SUPER stuff and not just things that are ART i mean not much people pay too much for the game and thinking that they will have big secrets but when you play theys only things that are in the game that everone knows about.

In the portal arena(where you all have the portals to living forest, soul tombs,...) enter the blue portal on the lower level where you will read "exit".

in order to find reptile, you have to go to the part where you meet the 2nd pare of clay statues, break their sheilds and throw them into a piller across the stream then go back to where the 1st pare pf statues and under the waterfall iss Reptile's ying-yang
