Scorpions story could evolve in SO many levels, in so many ways, yet this never happens.

Now, what if they introduced a new character in the game, who happens to be family-related to Scorpion? We know his family is dead, but we dont know if there were any exceptions.

I think there is a lot of potential in having someone from Scorpions family in the game, but not with the typical family love reunion story, but instead; for some wicked reason, this family member has mysteriously come from nowhere, with the only purpose to destroy Scorpion.

If the character happens to be a girl, I think it would kick ass to see her be Scorpions sister, the only living family he has. He will have to face the deadly girl, and decide if he should destroy the one thing he has been fighting for all his dead-life, or die at the hands of his sister for .love.

It could even be his mom.

Dont like the sister/mom idea? Well, dont worry, it can be anyone, and I had thought about something else. Drahmin should return, as Scorpions brother or father.

You see, it seems this 2 will be in war for more then a while, and if Drahmin managed to recover his old form, I think there is potential if he not only recovered his human form, but also his memory, and is now aware that his brother/son is alive and he wants revenge, he wants his blood.

For what reason? There could be many:

-Working for someone else.
-Revenge because Scorpion was supposed to protect them, yet he let them die/suffer or ignored that they were still alive.

But one thing must be a must. He must know who he is fighting against, and the family member should know as well. I wouldnt like it to be the same typical story were at the end, they discover who they are and decide to unite forces and fight together.

This must be dramatic! Brutal! Deadly! SAD!!!!!!!!!!

I would rather see Quan Chi revive Scorpion's wife and taint her soul so he could use her against him. Mabye she was part of Scorpion's ninja clan. That way, she would know all of Scorpion's moves and she would know how to counter them.

I like the idea, but I rather avoid any more resurrections.

Maybe Quan Chi had kept Scorpions mom alive, trapped somewhere in the realms, and has now set her free and she now wants his sons blood.

I agree. It was around MK4 a similar idea was out. I had posted something to the effect that since Smoke had a similar fighting style, that it was possible he was somehow related to Scorpion. Be it a lost brother or cousin.

I'm sure that won't fly now, but at the time, could have had some potential.

It says he had kids so I would expect them to be alive more than Scorpion's wife.It would be cool if his son or someone would be in there.But yeah I agree with you that whole Family Reunion sucks.Or the whole "You walked out on us so I hate you Dad" type of story isn't that good either.What would be cool though if Scorpion tries to explain why he wasn't around when his son or daughter was growing up.Then again it's hard for me to picture Scorpion being sensitive.I don't know how they would work that out.

Meh, I like the idea of resurrecting Scorpion's wife better.

If they did resurrect Scorpion's wife, she should be completely different than Scorpion. She could have a "Flaming Shuriken" move were she throws shurikens set on fire using her specteral powers. Her weapon could be a single Kama on a chain. I see alot of potential with this character.

Good,your right about the plot twists.But I think Scorp would kill all of them.It seems like he can't trust too many people.He's like the Wolverine of MK.

I had this twisted story idea a long time ago. OK check this out; You know how the Lin Keui clans and Ninja clans abduct small children.

The Sub-Zero's had another brother; he was the fraternal twin (not identical) of the older Sub-Zero. He was stolen from The Lin Keui as part of a revenge plot. The boy was adopted by a man with the last name Hasashi. The was given the first name Hanzo. Years later, he grew up to be a ninja. And years after that, he would come face to face with his twin brother; Sub-Zero. The man was Scorpion...

Ok, tell me that wouldn't kick ass. Quan Chi would have engineered the complete destruction of this family. Complete twist; would give Scorpion's story a new kick in the ass. This story would also only work if Quan Chi was eventually killed by Scorpion.

Any sort of family reunion sounds terrible. If anything this would create a clone moveset or variation. It would be like a bad action tv show or cheesey saturday morning cartoon. It's the type of plot line that would come aruptly and end suddenly.

Interesting idea, Queve. I'd prefer that we see no Scoprion lookalikes or clones at all in MK. A family member would make things interesting as you say, epecially if it were female. As long as they were uniue and deadly in their own way, then I'd be all for the idea.

Although, I think his story should keep his family dead and have him achieve his revenge at some point but then he is not allowed to return to hell or be with his family. A twist here could have him put under someones sevice for leaving hell so many times or he has to do some new task in order to see his family.

I once suggested Quan Chi resurrecting Scorpion's wife as a spectre to use against him.
I agree having someone who was close to Scorpion being against him creates many possibilities and I don't like resurrections as much as the next guy, but I don't like idea of there being a long lost member of the Shirai Ryu or Scorpion's family miraculously appearing.
In Mythologies, Quan Chi specifically said he made sure every trace of the Shirai Ryu was gone forever.
I don't want the Shirai Ryu to turn into the Black Dragon. "Kano's the last living member...except for Jarek....and Kira...and Tremor might be alive....and God knows who else."

I had the idea some time back for one final member of the Shirai Ryu. One who survived, the gist of it being that he was away while the clan was destroyed, somewhere in Edenia or Outworld. He was trapped there for years. I call him "Vortex"...but I'll wait until the third character tournament rolls around before I unveil him.
