He was just stating the the PS2 version would support Voice Recognition... It's good news that many people might not already know. No need to turn this into a Console War thread.

This is what i found out on bump mapping.
"Bump mapping is a technique used in graphics programs to produce the appearance of textured surfaces. It works by altering the brightnesses of the pixels in specific patterns. The result is similar to that produced when light shines at an angle on a surface.
By means of bump mapping, a sphere can be made to look like an orange. An apparently horizontal plane can be given the appearance of a pond with ripples, an asphalt parking lot, or a grassy lawn. Bump mapping is used in gaming programs to produce the illusion of relief. It is also used in such diverse applications as biology, chemistry, astrophysics, and architecture.
The most sophisticated form of bump mapping is called per-pixel lighting or Phong shading. Programs that perform this version of bump mapping are expensive, and they require considerable memory and processing power in order to run. Emboss bump mapping, a less sophisticated form, is easier to emulate on the chips commonly used with personal computers. Such effects also lend themselves to transmission over Internet connections for online gaming."

Atrayu, it was just the way you put it into words. It seemed as though you were gloating about XBox being able to do it, not that you were really excited. I've been through some strange Console War stuff, you'll have to forgive that.

online play for PS2 is free right (just want to make sure)?

XBOx headset won't be used?

Every Xbox online game uses the headset...
so add that into your equation when your deciding which system to buy the game for.
Now we can hear about how much the Xbox Type-S controller is crap... by those who have used it for 10 minutes at most.

lol, good call!
Dont forget, we can always spend an xtra $10 and get the ps2 converters, making it possible to use a ps2 controller on Xbox. I bought 2 of them awhile ago, specifically for when this game comes out. Gotta say, the best $20 I've ever spent.

I actually like the Type-S controllers. I like the PS2 also... dont have a preference... I do use a PS2 controller for PC games tho... def. the best $10 ive ever spent... keyboard and mouse is just horrible to me.
i use the s-controller. i'm used to it now and can play no porblem. but i should pick up a couple ps2 controllers for it and get used to those. i do want to play in tournies and i wouldn't be able to use my s-controller if it's on ps2. i hope all tournies use the xbox though for the simple fact you CAN use xbox and ps2 controllers. that way nobody would be left out.

I just wish the black and white buttons were a bit bigger and closer to the other face buttons on the S controller, aside from that, it's a pretty good pad, but I like the PS2 one better.
I'm definitely going to pick up one of the Street Fighter pads from Nuby, they seem nearly identical to the Saturn and Genesis 6 button pad, which are probably the best pads for fighting games.

It's funny how this went from a discussion about PS2 headset for MK:D to a discussion about controllers, lol!
I like the idea of the headset, but I don't go online to play games. Waste of money for me. Any way, there's a way to use PS2 contollers on X-box? Is there also a way to use X-box controllers on PS2??
