This story should be in two parts, maybe three because of it's length. Enjoy part one.

The story is based on the original writings by Evangeline, who is not a member here. She asked if I could improve upon her idea of Sonya becoming a vampire and so I have rewritten her story and incorporated my own ideas.

In Kano's ending, he used the amulet to call up the Dragon King's army to ambush and attack Sonya. This story begins where that ending left off.

After seeing the Dragon Kings army beat Sonya to the ground unconscious, Kano looks over her body and is satisfied with his triumph over his longtime enemy. Seeing that Sonya is bleeding he leaves, assuming she is dead, along with the Dragon Kings army, leaving Sonya for dead. However, Kano had called the army off her too early before anything vital had been damaged. Sonya was badly beaten and slowly bleeding to death.

Shortly after Kano leaves, the vampire known as Nitara finds Sonyas badly beaten body. Nitara had been flying around looking for food as she waited for Cyrax to present her with the orb to her realm. Seeing a free meal just waiting for her she landed to take her feed. However, Nitara decides she does not just want to kill this already wounded person and decides to make her a vampire. After taking some of Sonya's blood, Nitara cuts her wrist and forces Sonya to drink her blood. This will make Sonya a vampire without having to die first. Nitara notices that because of the serious blood loss, Sonyas wounds heal within minutes after she has swallowed blood.

Sonya awakens, weak and confused as to why she isn�t dead. Nitara informs her that the only that she is alive is because of the blood transfusion she gave her. Nitara also tells her that whilst she isn�t a fully-fledged vampire yet, she will be in less than a week. Nitara also tells her that they will meet again when the time comes. Sonya is confused as to what reason Nitara have would to want to save her, and neither did Nitara. Sonya was just mere food to her, but she felt inclined to make her a vampire. Little did Nitara know, she would soon be very happy about not finishing Sonya off!

Nitara sends Sonya back to Earth via a portal and then she leaves to continue her business.

On Earth, Sonya becomes more vampire like as the days go by. She notices that her senses have sharpened and her night vision has heightened. She is more agile and a lot stronger than normal. Garlic makes her sick and when the sunlight is at it�s strongest, she becomes very weak and almost anemic. (Not all vampires can be killed by sunlight.)

Jax has noticed Sonyas strange behaviour and traits and is worried that she is sick. Sonya has become very pale and he believes that it is just the strain of her work getting to her. On the last night of her transformation, Jax tries to visit her once more. However, for the past few days Sonya hasn't been able to keep any regular food down and at the moment is starving. When she smells blood on him from work, she goes crazy and attacks him. Jax manages to fend her off and is shocked that she was trying to bite his neck! He leaves before she can explain the situation. Sonya now had to accept that she was now a vampire. She was now hell bent on killing Kano! It was his fault she was this way! He was the one who left her for dead! He would pay!

Because Nitara and Sonya are blood sisters now, they're able to communicate telepathically. It was through this, and after following Sonya for a little, that Nitara learnt of the very thing that could help her and her realm. Sonya was aligned with the greatest warriors of Earth! As one of them, she was a potentially great fighter! The rest of them were great in their own right! They had to become vampires! If they were vampires, the vampiric race would be unstoppable! Now with Sonya amongst them, Nitara would have her attack them one by one and turned them.

However, there were problems. Sonya would never willingly attack her friends. Nitara knew this. And now Sonya was set on defeating Kano. Nitara would have to let her defeat her enemy otherwise Sonya wouldn�t trust her. She�d rebel against her. And then there was the matter of Earth. Sonya could not stay here any longer. But she would never leave her realm! Nitara wonders how she will go about all of this.
